Given that most people pack their most valuable items in their carry on bags (as well as anything fragile), I was a bit uneasy checking mine. The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case."

Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

Frontier changed the first leg of our return flight to four hours earlier, no charge, yet when we caught an earlier second leg because of the change, Frontier charged us. While we arrived home earlier, we gave up four hours of vacation at the front end. Something doesn't seem quite right about that . . . .

We have always used Southwest Airlines in the past due to their no fees for luggage and very accommodating to cancellations. Upsetting that during extremely hard times in our life we have the stress of picking to stay with you sibling until the end or not missing your flight."

The passenger submitted (ahead of schedule) full legitimate documentation of medical necessity. Spirit requested an expensive letter of medical/health certification from a veterinary. It is not enough to have a letter indicating that all of the animal's health records are accurately documented and up-to-date, it is required that the veterinarian establish a "certificate of health" that only lasts for a 10 day period from the time that it is written. The cost is $100 and if you plan your visit for over a 10 day period the animal must be reevaluated and a new certificate issued for the same cost of $100. Regardless, all things considered, it has become less expensive to just pay the pet carry on fee where no health certificate is necessary. I found Spirit airlines to be less than accommodating to the needs of a traveler with emotional support requirements. Spirit no longer supplies water to passengers during the flight, so don't forget to bring your own, unless you plan to pay the distorted price of a bottle purchase...CREDIT CARDS ONLY!"

Cons: "This is a very long list and repeats much of what I previously mentioned (hidden fees, lots of 'em), but I will add that at the gate there was some sort of mystery drama that led one of the staff members to some pretty exasperated proclamations. It seemed like a bunch of high schoolers running an airline with the amount of professionalism one might expect from a pep rally. We seriously had concerns about the staff's competence at that point. The strange smell just prior to take off and the instruction to close our vents so the plane could take off didn't do much to reassure."

Cons: "seats are TOOO close to one another (claustrophobic), not enough leg room, could feel the guys knees in my back behind me, $3 for water or sodas, extra $$ for snacks, no REAL food for purchase, no entertainment, not even a magazine in the pocket to read."
Pros: "Hadto pay for my carry on bag..that expense was not expressed to me prior to check in and put me in a hole never flying this airline again"

Cons: "Hostage me for $55 carry on baggage which is free elsewhere is robbery. Even not a free bottle of water in four hours flight makes Spirit very poor and cheap airline."

Cons: "Flight attendant didn't know the time difference between LAX and New Orleans. Could not print boarding pass online ahead of time."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled for no reason with no reasonable alternative flights. When I called for a refund (because I booked a one-way on another airline), they tried to issue me a credit to be used in 60 days. They made it sound like the credit was my only option. Only when I pushed did they acknowledge that I was due a refund."
Pros: "The flight attendence very nive and helpful. My first flight was delaid or late, dont remember what one. My return flight turned to a unexpected layover to los vegas then to LA(home). Other then the time delay everything else was ok..."

Cons: "You buy a ticket however you still have to pay for a seat. Your luggage can only be 40lbs or they charge you $$$$$. We will for sure never fly them again. Totally paid as much if not more than any other carrier."
Cons: "The seats don't recline. I'm 7' 3". Not being able to recline my seat made it a very uncomfortable flight."

Cons: "On top of the general and unavoidable things that make spirit awful like the ridiculous prices you end up paying with all its extra fees, for a very poor experience, the planes are rarely on time. Mine was an hour and a half late, luckily this was a small delay compared to my last experience with Spirit. I don't know why I booked with them again but I won't be making that mistake anymore."
Cons: "Baggage fee which was surely a scam. Wanted to check during booking. Took 1 hour and the system did not allow me to do it. I realized the trick was to pay more later on. This is scam. My trip was more expensive than more reputive airlines. Even though the price advertised was cheaper on Spirit to start with. They make more money with baggage fee and fee for water not even food."
Cons: "Only give 7 dollar for food. All restaurant cost more for a meal. Plane was delay 5 hour."

Cons: "Our flight was canceled and we were told we could fly to our destination in two days or get a refund and rebook with another airline. I wish I would have booked with another airline to start with because it would have been cheaper. We had reservations we couldn't cancel and a two day delay is unacceptable. Save your money by booking with a legitimate airline"
