Cons: "Didn't like the fact that I was never notified through email that the flight was from a different , newer airport in Islamabad. Originally my booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but on the day of flight when I went to that airport , it was totally closed for operations and flights. And I asked people in the street e.g taxi drivers etc which airport my flight could be from. They told me that a new airport in Islamabad had become operational and my flight could be from the newer airport. I went to the new airport but I was late for boarding because my time was wasted in going first to the Benazir International Airport and then rerouting to the new airport. Fortunately the fight from Islamabad to Qatar was delayed and I was able to make it to the boarding and flew from Islamabad to Doha."

Cons: "This was an older 777 -- no wifi -- pretty surprising on such a key flight at DOH-JFK! This is not the airline's fault but I had a crazy lady next to me who was very disoriented, who could not speak English and needed assistance. No one would deal with her! She had a little pouch with her name on it -- like a UM -- so someone knew something was not right when they put her on the flight. I bought drinks inside the terminal for this 14 hour flight but they were all confiscated at the additional security at the gate!! WTF"

They booked me a short stay in a hotel at no extra charge. This included a car and driver to and from the hotel. It was a nice hotel close to the airport."

What was the point of having priority access with status with Qatar Airways as an economy passenger to get into the seating area only to have to wait for ALL other passengers to then board ahead of you onto the actual plane especially when they say they allow priority boarding for those with status on the airline?"

Cons: "i was blessed with 3 seats in a row. Had trouble lying down because the arm rests don't go up all the way. The seat belt connectors were not recessed, so they poked me in the side. The movie selection was only so - so. See the selection from Singapore airlines if you want to see a good example. I have many food allergies - for the sweet & savory snacks, the ingredients are in Latin - like a place holder ready for when they get the real words to put there. e.g. dolorem ipsum ..."

Cons: "They cancelled our flight without informing us from Doha to Miami, so they were going to fly us to Doha at 3 a.m., take us to hotel, and then have us fly the next day. This was the third time this airlines cancelled a flight on us for the same trip. The first two times were traveling from Miami to Delhi, we had to change our itinerary because they cancelled the flight, and we had to fly on different dates. This caused a series of hotel changes and cancellations costing us a lot of money. On the flight that we finally got from Doha to JFK, the man sitting next to me SMELLED LIFE THE FUNK OF 40,000 YEARS. It is unbearable. Thirteen hours of pungent body odor that even the flight attendants acknowledged was horrific. It was a miserable experience flying with this airline for what was to be the trip of a lifetime."

Airline has lost my luggage

No Air Canada rep at the ticketing desk. Spoke with United (assumed partner) and they directed me to wait in the Air Canada line. I was 2 hours early for this flight since it was international. No one ever showed at the Air Canada desk so I spoke with United again and they said that Air Canada transferred the plane to them (truth?) and pulled up my ticket. The ticket was denied due to a carry-on limitation (is this real?). United cancel the flights and started to rebook but they said they had no authority to rebook since it was with Air Canada. After 3 hours of being on hold and speaking with multiple people at Air Canada they informed me that the United canceled my whole trip and marked it as a no show (again, 2 hours early). They refused to rebook or refund.

Cons: "Departure was delayed by hours due to the Air Canada computer systems going down. That made it an even later redeye, but the cabin crew insisted on waking everyone up to serve dinner at 2am. Boarding in Toronto was a mess, and the details about what was wrong were very sketchy."

I wish we had not gotten vegetarian meals as the regular breakfast was a choice between pancakes or omelet with fresh fruit, which where both vegetarian. They need to make a difference between vegetarian and vegan."

Long haul flights should always provide these. Most of the flight wasn’t Lufthansa but Air Canada instead. This should be advertised properly as I had no idea."

When we reboarded, we were offered vouchers for the airport we were leaving that would expire the next day, which is essentially useless."
Pros: "At fisrt the flight was over booked. Once we had boarded their was a technical issues with the aircraft, we had to sit in our aiys with nothing to do for just under 2 hours. With this delay in mind their was no form of a free drink as a mini compensation. They had no choice of food."

Cons: "- We tried to check in online and got an error message. When we got to the airport 2 hours before our flight, we were told by customer service rep #1 to join a line. At the front of the line, same rep told us "Oh it's probably that now you need a visa." - Why not tell people when they try to check in why there is an error? The new rule went into effect in December, and we hadn't been to Canada since needing a visa. Once we had been accepted, we were passed off to another employee who couldn't figure out why he couldn't check us in. Then another, who said "I'm only helping you because your flight is delayed, the flight should have closed by now." (Not exactly comforting, and considering it took them 2 hours to help, not super helpful either.) - When we ran to the gate, the people running the gate told us that the aircraft hadn't even landed, but weren't communicative in timing, didn't update the time on the boarding screens, etc."
Cons: "Air Canada was one hour late leaving the gate. This in fact was a great improvement as when we left Montreal on Dec.21 they were 4 hours late and in the best of xmas cheer didn't even offer us a free drink. Way to go AC."

Cons: "I missed my connection in Montreal because the flight was 2 hours late to get in and Air Canada staff in Lyon had told me I did not need to get my luggage in Montreal but only in Toronto to go through US custom ... which was not true. The airport staff in Montreal was absolutely unhelpful and sent me in 10 different directions. I was finally rebooked for a later flight, and the person there was finally very nice and helpful."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours first without any communication, later with very unclear communication. Spent multiple hours at the airport just to have to fly out next morning at 6:30am. Wasted day, wasted night. Delays can happen, but according to the finally communicated cause this could all have been communicated early on (crew not available in Cleveland, that was two flight legs earlier)."

Cons: "The flight was originally delayed by 30 minutes.. reasonable considering the high winds in both NYC and Toronto. Things started going wrong after we boarded the airplane and then were told the flight crew had not yet arrived from LGA. There is simply no excuse for airlines not keeping sufficient standby crew capacity to minimize these issues. This is a clear case of the airline under staffing at the expense of its customers. By the time the flight crew arrived we were just barely able to make the 8:45 wheels up time for our clearance. The flight to LGA was uneventful until we landed. We were then told our gate was occupied by another plane, a delay that was initially forecast to be a few minutes turned into what seemed to be close to an hour. As a result, I arrived home to my Manhattan apartment at least two hours later than I should have. Flight delays happen, I accept them when they are for reasons that cant be avoided... I look for other airlines (such as united) when they occur for entirely preventable reasons and result in back pain from being trapped in an airline seat for 3+ hours instead of the 1hr 15 or so I should have been stuck in the seat."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours for mechanical issues and so we missed our connection to Frankfurt that evening, and any other possible connection to Europe. Apparently Kayak had been notified that the flight was delayed, but had not relayed the message. If they'd informed me earlier I might have been able to rebook myself on an earlier flight, but I no longer had that option when I arrived 2 hours ahead of my scheduled departure. Although my arrival to my destination was delayed over 24 hours, I was only given a hotel room and enough to buy breakfast the next morning. No vouchers for future flights, no upgrades to an empty first class on the flight to Frankfurt the next evening, no apologies. The women at the gate tried to help me, but the AirCanada representative who I had to call to try to re-book flights was incredibly rude and condescending. She repeatedly talked down to me, and refused to book me on an alternative flight I found because she "insisted" it wasn't in her system. She later found it in her system, and told me that she would not book me on it, but that I would need to get the gate agents to do it due to the "tight connection" I would then experience of one hour through London Heathrow, the same as my originally booked flight via Air Canada in Toronto."

Cons: "Because of snowstorm, my original flight was cancelled. Air Canada put me on the following day's United flight which was also cancelled. Afterall, I arrived 24 hrs late. They couldn't control bad weather, I understand, What I don't get is both Air Canada and United put us on hold for nearly three hours. The wait was so bad we were using three phones. By the time we could reschedule our flights, we spent four hours on phone. United's attitude was worse than Air Canada. Hire more staff to take calls, for god's sake. Food is bad. The audio has no classic channel. The wait at YYZ was 6 and half hours. Too long."

Cons: "This expensive Airline is actually very cheap. You have to pay extra for everything. I don't mine to pay for good food, but this is terrible. In 5.5 hrs no entertainment at all. Crew is dressed in ugly uniforms. No duty free shopping. Dirty,broken, uncomfortable seats. Our flight was purchased 6 months ahead of time to be sure we fit into specific time in Christmas season. But AC changed scheadule 5 times before our flight."
