Pros: "Well coordinated loading of plane. Good food service. Well informed.."
Pros: "The seat is very comfortable And the crew is very nice and helpful"
Cons: "The checking service in Taiwan And the manager’s Attitude toward Crisis handling"
Pros: "Everything. Air NZ has the best Premium Economy class in the sky."
Cons: "All good."
Pros: "The crew was great. Really friendly, we got skycouch and it was really comfortable"
Cons: "Food was a bit too rich, maybe a lighter option in the menu would be useful as both were quite thick sauces."
Pros: "The space!"
Cons: "One traveler was hit by car and injured prior to the trip. Could not get a refund from the airline."
Pros: "The crew, as always, was fantastic. Very helpful and always kind. The seats are comfortable enough, considering it was a long flight, and the excellent entertainment helped the time pass quickly."
Pros: "Kind staff, long flight but the attendant were super kind"
Pros: "The seats are comfortable. I was fortunate to have a gap in the middle seat. On my flight there was a delay due to a person needing to disembark before the flight took off. The flight dealt with the person inconsiderately and explained to everyone the reason for the delay."
Cons: "Nothing. The flight was efficiently run and seats comfortable."
Pros: "New Zealand Air staff were friendly, informative and courteous throughout the entire flight! I was floored by their service and by what was offered. They even worked to arrange for people to move around (some were packed 4 to a row, but there was plenty of space throughout the craft)."
Pros: "Airline is pretty good"
Cons: "I had a horrible experience booking with Kayak because normally I should be allowed two bags to check in but I was only allowed one because I booked through kayak."
Cons: "They need to bring around water more often. And actually offer it to people in the window seat."
Cons: "Seats, food, entertainment"
Pros: "This flight was on the 777-300 plane leased from EVA. Boarding proved to be a bit of a slow grind due to the inordinate number of families with children on this particular flight. Our fault for not realising this at time of booking. Flight itself went very smoothly. Seats were fine. Not a huge selection of movies to choose from. Felt the crew went about their duties without fuss and ticked all the boxes for me."
Pros: "Comfortable seats"
Pros: "Great customer service. We flew on Air New Zealand and United, and the contrast was big. ANZ stewards showed much higher level of pride in serving their passengers."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "My flight was moved up three hours and we were not notified. Two others we were traveling with were. Some people received meals and drinks and the flight attendants had a list of which seats. Apparently we weren't entitled to any. We were not treated the same as the others next to us. It was not an option. Perhaps only Australians were entitled."
Pros: "I loved everything. From the friendly service to the comfort of the plane... it was fabulous for the 12 hours I was on board."
Cons: "Nothing. I had great service and a great flight the entire ride. Well done... Best airline I've ever flown with!"
Pros: "Booked these flights though Kayak. Landing from LAX at 0730 at Auckland international terminal and then departing at 0900 from the domestic terminal. This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"
Cons: "Not enough time booked by kayak between an international arrival and domestic departure"
Pros: "vvery comfortable flight"
Pros: "The crew was great and the Hawaiian fruit drinks were a great introduction to Hawaii."
Cons: "The check in, the baggage drop off and pickup were very confusing and it made it a little stressful having to change flights. Boarding passes are also difficult to obtain through other airlines."
Pros: "The entire group of employees were excellent, and very friendly."
Pros: "Skycouch a bit pricey, but worth it. Allowed sleep to be possible and comfortable on an overnight flight"
Cons: "Nothing to complain about"
Pros: "We were allowed to check one bag for free...that's awesome. And we were provided with two full meals on the flight, more food than we could eat. And even a complimentary alcoholic drink! Great selection of movies. New Zealand Air is one of the best flying experiences I've had"
Pros: "The boarding process was efficient and the seat was comfortable enough for coach class across the Pacific. It was a definite bonus not having someone in the middle seat. The food was quite good, and I appreciated the ability to get snacks throughout the flight. The crew was efficient, the IFE is very good, and the entire experience was very positive. I will continue to fly ANZ internationally as often as I can."
Pros: "The boarding and on-board service were excellent. Enough free-of-charge entertainment to keep me occupied during the 3-hour flight between SYD and CHC. Plenty of room for carry-on luggage."
Cons: "Felt like I was flying a US carrier - very little room between the rows. I was surprised by this, as I thought that non-US carriers generally don’t pack their planes. I was surprised, but not inconvenienced by this, since it was a morning flight and only 3 hours gate-to-gate."
Cons: "We had to take a connecting flight from Paris and British Airlines were very inconsistent with their hand carry policy which gave me so much stress."
Pros: "The staff was nice."
Cons: "No room, It was painful for someone with nerve damage and severe arthritis to even get to a seat."
Pros: "Crew working hard and going the extra mile to alleviate systemic issues like overcrowding in economy, glitches with electronics, etc. They're resolutely cheerful and efficient."
Cons: "Air NZ are, like everyone else, packing more people in a plane: 10 across in economy, where it used to be 8. No upgrade option I could exercise, even though I've got plenty of miles and do this trip every 6 months, because of the fare class I booked through Kayak."
Pros: "smooth flight, good treats, great legroom and fun crew!"
Pros: "We upgraded to premium economy, and Tony was very attentive and took great care of us!"
Pros: "The service was very good, food good, seats comfortable. The sears on the way to my destination seemed roomier than on way home, maybe a different type of plane?"
Cons: "This was my first long flight 12+ hrs. And I wish I would have gotten the economy couch option. Sitting upright that long is difficult."
Pros: "We made our connection, just barely."
Cons: "Faulty equipment presented as weather problems caused almost hour delay."
Pros: "Was the same, everything allright"
Pros: "amazingly pleasant crew, great food, efficient service, very comfortable."
Pros: "Comfortable, clean, helpful crew, charging for devices, good meal, very pleasant experience altogether would definitely fly Air NZ again."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very helpful. One of our travelers got sick on the plane and, unfortunately, made a mess in one of the toilets. Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."
Cons: "Our seats were more narrow than normal. Almost to the point of discomfort. We did fly on Air New Zealand from Auckland to Christchurch and the seats on that flight were what I would consider a "normal" width. Meals were served in a timely way but the food was just okay - nothing outstanding. But, we did fly coach/economy."
Pros: "I love air new zealand. Watched dr strange and had yummy breakfast. Crew very friendly"
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "United Code share. Very poor boarding. Service is poor, food is poor. But compared to some US Airlines they are probably good."
Cons: "Well for every US airline. Improve everything."
Cons: "could not check in online. Traveling with my daughter and we were unable to lock in seats together. Gate agents were able to do this but not proof to arrival at assigned gate."
Pros: "I was in Premium Economy and everything was wonderful! The food the entertainment system and extra legroom (with a leg rest!) was fantastic! I slept so well!"
Pros: "Air New Zealand has some of the friendliest cabin crews around. Their food is above average and they have a delicious array of wines served free with meals. My flight was interrupted by a medical emergency. We had to backtrack to the nearest airport, which added several hours to the flight. This meant a very long day for both passengers and crew. The crew remained cheerful and helpful throughout, in spite of cranky passengers."
Pros: "Short, friendly people and was on time. Awesome all around"
Cons: "All was good"
Pros: "Le confort des sièges, la propreté de l'avion, la gentillesse du personnel à bord."
Cons: "I felt that Air Canada was quite substandard. On our flight to NZ one bathroom was out of order the entire flight. Also found the staff on the return flight to be less than cordial. Also do not feel I should have to pay for headphones or a basic meal after the price of my ticket. On the return trip my entertainment screen froze and was not usable. Will probably not fly with this company again."
