Cons: "Boarding was slow. Flight to Chicago which was at the same gate took way too long to board. Could not figure out the problem. Took WAY too long to get wheelchairs to unload passengers off the plane that was to take us to Dallas. Sat on the tarmac for additional 20 min. Delay cost me an additional 2 1/2 hours later in Dallas and FIVE hours in London airport!!"

I don't know why they don't load the rear seats first so you don't have to wait for everyone ahead to secure their carry-on luggage. If they didn't charge so much for checking a bag there wouldn't be so much carry-on baggage"

Airport personnel confirmed that it is typical or normal for American because they operate with a small "skeleton" ground crew. Flight arrived just after 11:20pm,, but wasn't able to head out for transportation until after 12:30am. VERY upset and disappointed with service."

Anyways, when we landed, they told us to go to carasel A. After standing next to carasel A for 20 minutes, we find out that we had to, in fact, go to carasel B. I have never been this disappointed with a flight in my entire life, and I travel a lot. I will call the frontier supervisor and talk to them regarding this matter personally. I will not just let this one go."

Once the plane finally arrived 4 hours late, they inexplicably put us on another plane. This plane was supposed to go to Miami, so there was too much fuel. It took 70 minutes to get the excess fuel off. Ultimately, the flight left 5 hours and 20 minutes late."

The ticket prices seem low at first but by the end of check in I had an extra $150 in mandatory fees that made my flight actually more expensive than the tickets from American & United that looked double the price when I was purchasing. Frontier is 1 very small step above Spirit airlines."

I am not the type of person to make a scene, plus my dad and his fiancé were very distraught, so I didn't argue with the clerk but wanted some type of compensation for the worst experience I've ever had with an airline. Friendly staff, quick line to drop off baggage, quick boarding process and the clerk at the gate changed our seats so we could be together and gave us the 3rd row. Nothinng bad to say about this airline."

Pros: "It was simple and convenient and got me where I was trying to go cheaply. It was fairly clean n what not and I liked how kind of hip it felt with their process and design. It really does feel like a modern airline sort of like an uber or something but in order to make it cheap they do cut down on pretty much anything that makes the experience kind of luxurious. The chairs were quite thin for example and no in flight food was complimentary. I was able to take my large backpack on the flight free as a personal item so that was great too. They have a metal frame to check the size of your item. If it fits in there it can be a personal item. My backpack was able to squeeze but typical carry on's may not. It also really felt like an airline for the youth which goes along with that kind of young and hip feel. Good stuff."

Not only did spirit fail to refund either of my plane tickets they also kept the bag charges. I had to deal with customer representatives on the phone three time. All the representatives were nearly impossible to hear due to their low volume and nearly impossibly to understand because of their thick accents. By far the worst travel experience I've ever had."

Cons: "Spirit's website kept giving me issues while trying to check in and pre pay for luggage. I could not complete either. The customer service during checking, agent was a total dick and was not willing to help me at all. I had to pay full price for luggage even though it was their site that would not let me complete the prepay. I had a question at the kiosk and the agent would not answer any of my questions or come out to help me. I was really confused of why. He was not busy. I was the only there at the time. Oh. They claim to be the cheapest airline. Well they are not. They would not budge on luggage pricing for the military that has to bring a lot of uniforms and equipment with them. Back to the price. The purchase of the ticket was cheap. But then they nickel and dime you. It cost me an additional 150 dollars for one checked luggage. After all the nickel and dining, it would have been cheaper to fly one of the other airlines, and the amenities would have bee better on another airline. Heck, spirit does not even do the pre-check. I should have stuck with American. Overall, American would have been cheaper and they take care of their military personnel."

They do let you bring on a backpack as a free item, just make sure the backpack is smaller than a carry on. I can squeeze a weeks worth of clothes with a backpack. it would be cheaper to fed-ex your suitcase to where you're going. Bring your own food. Seats don't recline and there's no legroom. You can upgrade to more room, but, then why not fly the more expensive airline anyway?"
