We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

One child had one on tye chair and I asked him if its suppose to be on the seat or given later on. He said it will be passed later and then with a patronizing manner he gave another head phone set and said: "I guess we havw an emergency". On the flight, every time he with the food and drinks he just stood there next to me talking over my head with the passenger begind me. Very uncomfortable, especially when it happens 6 or 7 times. When asking what drink we wanted ( the first time), i replied apple and orange juicewith no ice. He replied, with a patronizing manner "this it European company, not American company. Here we don't put ive if you do not ask for it".The incident that bother me the most is one that involved my kids also. My daughter (3 years old) was a bit scared of the flight, tired and did not want to sit on her chair. We tried to keek her on the chair buy she started crying laying down on the floor infront of our seats. Jorge the flight attendant saw her and told me to put her on the seat. Not in a manner I expect out of soneone in the service industry. I told him we are working on it and we will have her on the chair as soon as we can. When I said that he got irritated and a bit aggressive. For no reason the situation became hostile. The flight attendent on the other side (do not know his name). Can over and asked us what we needed amd if we need help. I told the other flight attendant we need 5 minutes and he said OK. After a few minutes she calmed down. Anotger passenger asked Jorge what beer it is and he replied, with contempt, " its German beer, its good"."

This was a bad situation, yes. But, SAS missed numerous opportunities for service recovery to ensure my future business."

I had indicated a travel date of 6th Oct during my booking, but for some strange reason,, the ticket got issued for 4th Sep (yesterday). My credit card also got charged for the full amount and I received an e-ticket yesterday. Later during the day yesterday, I received a mail from Flight Network (which I guess is the travel portal used by Kayak.com) stating that the 1st leg of the flight (Reykjavik to Copenhagen) on 4th Sep got cancelled. The mail from Flight Network is appended in the mail below. Firstly, my travel date was never supposed to be 4th Sep, and it was always supposed to be 6th Oct, since I am still in India and have not even started my Scandinavia trip. Secondly, since the 1st leg of the flight was cancelled by the airline, the 2nd leg made no sense for me anyways, since my end destination was always supposed to be Stockholm, and not Copenhagen. Since the cancellation has occurred at SAS end (and even the incorrect booking date seems to be an error not at my end), I would request you to organise for a full refund of the Reykjavik to Stockholm flight fare for me & my wife to me. This amount was charged to my credit card by Kayak.com so would appreciate it if you could either get the full amount refunded to my credit card, or organise for the amount to get transferred online to my bank account. What I usually take wouldn't fit anywhere but the window. The middle seat space is USELESS as there is something installed that MAY give you about 6 inches from floor to it. The aisle seat's forward under space is a cube shape, so typical carry-ons won't fit there either. As I slept the whole way to Reykyavik, I don't know much about the service. The under seat space may lead me to not booking Icelandair again."
