The airline required documentation from my fathers doc which I provided. He was not going anywhere for at least a year (radiation and chemo) and the denied even credit.I was able to get my parents tickets refunded by a different airline. NEVER Again. my father passed 8/12/2018. Our trip was scheduled for 9/13/2018. Very disappointing.see

Pros: The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), and entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large). I would definitely recommend JAL to others.
Cons: The food was not to my liking (i.e., all Japanese style, but not necessarily types that appeal more to Westerners) but it was palatable.

Pros: Crew was great, just like Japanese specific hospitality. Crew clean up toilet and keep refilling toilet supply. Airplane was nice and clean. Entertainment equipment was up to date.
Cons: I could not log in in JAL website using mileage account. They said it has been maintanance mode for a while and could not tell when it would be completed. I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight....

Pros: When I checked in for my flight it was fast, efficient and friendly. Their Manila staff is awesome! I was very impressed and happy with their service. I will be using JAL again.

Cons: How long it took the flight attendens to come back and take trash and out trays for both of the meals. It made it super uncomfortable in the tiny space available. Also, not enough knee space, especially when the person in front of you puts there seat back. I flew with American Airlines on the way to Japan and I had plenty of room but I wish it was the same coming home.

Pros: Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)
Cons: I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature.

Pros: The small touches - the hot soup in the middle of the flight was nice and comforting, the crew were exemplary in their hospitality, the seat was easily the most comfortable Economy Class seat I've sat on.

Pros: I felt well taken care of the whole time. When checking my bag, the attendant saw that I have a middle seat, and got me an exit row window, which allowed me to sleep. They accommodated a last-minute request for vegetarian meals. The flight felt like it took about half the time it actually did.

Pros: With Japan Airlines, there is never a doubt in my mind they are going to be the best airline of choice. I was running late to my flight into Haneda to fly out to Singapore. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do.

Cons: The seat's recline button was broken which meant having to sit for 12+ hours upright. Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again.

Pros: Delayed flight from Shanghai due to air traffic issues, so I had a 10 minute window to make my connection in Singapore. Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail.

Cons: No lounge in Philadelphia took my Priority Pass. On the flight, the woman in front of me threw her chair back without asking and almost had hot coffee all over me. When I asked her to put her chair up, she got mad. She went to staff to insist she could put her chair back. I showed them that I was indeed in a back brace for a health condition and that I needed opportunities to move and shift, cross legs to release tension, etc. Staff sided with the rude woman, who, given the chance to move to an equal seat on the opposite aisle where she could recline, refused to move. I was very frustrated and have never been treated with such discrimination regarding my health concerns.

Pros: The flight from Doha to Beirut was not fully booked, we could move easily.
Cons: I have requested seafood for my meals. Unfortunately I was told that no such request was mentioned on the list as special meal. Overall the food was okay, we had 2 small pieces of beef in one meal, the two salads has no taste and the sandwich was too salty. A passenger who sat next to my husband snored all the time and leaned a bit over my husband as he was heavy.

Fastidiously weighing and forcing mutiple repacks of carry-on bags even though well under total limit of checked & carry. (Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!

Pros: The QA Crew acted with courage during very severe turbulence, continuing to be professional despite injuries
Cons: QA HQ did not respond to the emergency with professionalism. They did a decent job w/hotel accommodation but only the hotel reception provided any communication. Only constant complaints led to food being provided at the airport after a 6 hour wait to board. No compensation was offered by QA when we arrived in Doha. Nothing. Exceptionally poor performance by an airline you expect more from.

I was charged 300 dollars to cancel with emerites and then 150 to cancel with Justfly.com and then had to buy a new ticket the day before my flight. I ended up running from security all the way to my gate, feeling I was going to miss my flight. They still had the gate open past the scheduled time, but wish I didn't have to run.

Pros: Emirates itself was great but using fly Dubai from Dubai to Kabul was awful.
Cons: No flights to Kabul using Fly Dubai when someone books tickets actually for Emirates.

Pros: Great and helpful see ice. Food is good as well. One of the few airlines where flying 24 hours (over 2 legs) is bearable.
Cons: Takes a long time to board and de board the plane, which almost made me miss my connection at Dubai.

Pros: Comfort level was below expected for Emirates today, because the flight was very packed. I didn’t get the ability to choose or change my seat while checking in online and checking in at the counter and was not able to change out of a middle seat. We also took off 1hr + after the original departure time.
Cons: Not sure why I wasn’t able to change my seat during check-in, this is usually standard. Other than that, the flight was fine.

Pros: Least amount of time spent at baggage check, most helpful service on the ground and in flight, that I have ever experienced.

Pros: My flight left on time and from the moment I was greeted upon entering the A380 Airbus, I knew I was in for something very special. As prepared for departure, blankets and pillows were distributed amongst the passengers. Once in flight, dinner and in the morning, breakfast. And, throughout the night, the flight attendants attended to passenger requests for beverages and snacks. The plane was clean and, maybe I need to compliment my fellow passengers also, for the washrooms were clean and well maintained. We arrived on time and the trip seemed rather short with the entertainment of movies, news and inflight updates. Pros: I liked the service provided by the second steward because he was concerned about my wellbeing and brought me a veggie option. The entertainment was good.
Cons: I was given a seat between 2 men and it was most uncomfortable. I am not sure why seating is not done more sensitively for passengers. I requested an aisle seat but never got one. Also, there were no vegetarian options for those who didn't book a special meal in advance. I am a star alliance member with Qatar and love their service. I didn't think Emirates would be below that standard because I have heard a lot about the airline and decided to fly them for a change. I was told that if there was any vegetarian option left behind I would get one but the steward didn't even have the decency to come back to tell me there wasn't any left. For the breakfast the steward was much nicer and was able to provide me with a vegetarian option.

Pros: The ICE system was a perfect way to spend 13 hours on a plane. I watched a movie, listened to music, even watched part of a live broadcast NFL game during the trip. Much appreciated!

Cons: IAD-->DXB--?AMM; Airlines took my stroller from me before boarding the first flight to Dubai(at gate), and they gave it to me in Amman. WHen landed in DXB, There was a long walk form the plane to the gate where you can find a stroller in the airport( which is only a single stroller) and having 3 kids which does not help. Why not give strollers at gate just like all other airlines! I was prepared and had the double stroller with me! Never again on Emirates with kids!

Pros: The A380 equipment is beautiful and spacious even in coach. The changing ambient lighting added to a great positive experience. Food and service was excellent. The entertainment system and seat amenities are top notch - large screen, great selections, power sources, remote control (cabled). I was so impressed I planned to join their frequent flyer program (*** but see review of second leg - Dubai to Manila *** ).

Pros: The food was horrible. We were served almost an hour late after everyone and not given and option to select our food. I would like some kind of response from the airline service on this.

Cons: The flight attendant at the front- I don’t know her name but she was wonderful, friendly and smiling and seemed genuinely pleased at her job. The flight attendant in the back I don’t believe smiled once the whole flight. It was a relatively short flight but still not one smile on boarding, in flight or once we landed. Probably gave the most morose safety demonstration in aviation history. I know most people don’t like their jobs but a smile does go a long way and for me personally it helps s great deal when you have an irrational fear of flying. She did nothing wrong but she could have at least looked like she wanted to be there.

Cons: Flight was ultimately cancelled and they had "no patentee airlines" to provide an equivalent service. i booked a Delta flight that was leaving in another hour but Delta is not a JetBlue partner so I had to foot the bill of rebooking. This is last time JetBlue will have my business. I'm a delta frequent flier. I happened to pick JetBlue this time because the flight was slightly more convenient but clearly not worth it!

Cons: Flight was more than an hour late. There is NEVER enough room for carry-on luggage. Since you charge people extra to check luggage (how carrying luggage on a flight is considered "extra" is beyond me), you should provide enough space for them to bring carry ons. That adds to the stress of flying. It's almost as if you created a focus group, asked them how to make flying more stressful and miserable, and then did that.

Pros: This flight was delayed when we were on the runway due to air traffic control. They estimated it could take an hour or more to take off. I told the flight attendants that I had a connecting flight in NY and they both helped look to see if there was a later flight I could get on, if we didnt make it in time. When they determined my connecting flight was the last one going out of NY that night, I asked if I could possibly de-plane if we were going to take off more than an hour late since I would surely miss my flight and and I would rather go home and sleep in my own bed than get a hotel in NY. They were genuinely and sincerely interested in helping me, so they spoke with the captain and updated the passengers since some other people had the same issue. The capain surprisingly agreed to roll back to the jetway to me off if we were going to be delayed passed the time for connection. Thirty minutes later, we were in the air and I made my connecting flight. The flight attendant even gave me earbuds to watch TV free of charge!!!! What an absolutely amazing flight crew!!!!!

Cons: I recently flew from Washington Dulles to NYC John F. Kennedy. Throughout the day I received text messages and emails stating that my flight was delayed. I therefore delayed my arrival at the airport accordingly. I arrived at the ticket counter at 8:40pm (50 minutes prior to the new departure time) of 9:30. I was not concerned as the security line was 1 min long. When I arrived at the ticket counter, no JetBlue representative was there. I was finally able to find someone, but he turned me away, stating that the ticket counter was closed as there was no way to check any bags. He told me that despite getting emails telling me that the flight was delayed, it was my responsibility to get there 40 min prior to the original departure time to be able to check my bags. Then why send the delay messages at all? He also stated that "everyone else seemed to be there, it was just me" I told him that I didn't care, as I made it 50 minutes before my departure time. I had to stay in DC for the night and wake up at 4 am to be on the next flight. I don't understand why this happened and will avoid future JetBlue flights as possible.
