Originally my booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but on the day of flight when I went to that airport , it was totally closed for operations and flights. And I asked people in the street e.g taxi drivers etc which airport my flight could be from. They told me that a new airport in Islamabad had become operational and my flight could be from the newer airport. I went to the new airport but I was late for boarding because my time was wasted in going first to the Benazir International Airport and then rerouting to the new airport. Fortunately the fight from Islamabad to Qatar was delayed and I was able to make it to the boarding and flew from Islamabad to Doha."

Cons: "The boarding was not handled properly. There was a 40 mins delay, keeping in mind it was never mentioned on the screens. When seeking guidance from crew members about the flight's boarding different answers were given at different time. First it was no delay, just the plane getting closer to the gate, later followed by a 10 mins wait that later became over 30 mins. Once we finally made it on the flight, when requesting a beverage the only option given is water or orange juice and if you have any dietary restrictions (even when providing said information to the airline) you will remain without food on the shorter flights."

Cons: "This seemed far different from emirate flights that I'm used to. Over the years their service has decreased but the 1 meal and sub-par snack I got for an 8.5hr flight was poor, likened to a budget airline. This is the second flight recently I've been on that the drinks come so long after the meal you don't even get to enjoy your cola with the meal. The first food cart should have colas if there won't be another cart to come along until 30+ minutes later. I also expected Emirates to provide an eye patch, an 8 hr+ flight in the night time hours in worthy of an eyepatch. Budget airlines do not provide this, but I expected Emirates to. Lastly, I don't think it's necessary to hand out a menu indicating there is something to look forward to when the food is of quite poor standards for Emirates, standard for all other airlines. Maybe the Durban to Dubai route stocks he flights with less experienced crew, this is the impression I got; a much less refined group of people on the plane."

Flight took off at 10 am so perhaps first meal should have been lunch. - Heard another passenger requesting veg. meal but crew said they don't have any extras and only serve special meals for those who request before. For a flight in which 60-70% of passengers are Indians, some extra vegetarian meals should be available (for those who do not know how to book it in advance)."

After 15 hours flight no one cared enough to guide us to rest place, because the next flight was not to the next day, was hoping to let us stay on the hotel. This was a disaster planning by the airline."

Cons: "Checkin associate at SFO was rude and told me that only light baggage is allowed in the plane during borading noticed several passengers with larger bags and sometime two bas as well. I was told I can only take one bag. This caused me to change my plans on what I can carry on my two small bags. This is also the reason why had to take a small handbag to keep everything I needed. I lost this bag at New Delhi airport. Had I been allowed the the standard tote and a laptop bag I may not have needed the extra hand bag and may not have lost my items. Emirates associate is partailly responsible for my lost items."

Pros: "We started with a 45 min wait on the tarmac before takeoff. Then spent 14h listening to screaming children. Now, I know that isn't the airlines fault, but it would be nice to see where children are sitting when booking on such a long flight! Once we landed, the girl next to me got sick and when I flagged a flight attendant, she simply told me there's a barf bag in the seat pocket - there wasn't - so I had to part the crowd to get that lady to a bathroom. Then it took 45 min to get off the plane! The food was okay and there was plenty to watch (couldn't read due to screaming children). It was a really rough flight."

Cons: "I had given on line preference for Asian vegetarian food but was not served collection of booked luggage at cropusal at SFO ,was difficult for a senior citizen like me as there was commotion"

Pros: "The vegan meals were very good and tasty. I enjoyed the entertainment provided and the plane was very clean. At times the plane was very cold, however the blanket helped with that. It wasn't this flight but the flight from Tanzania to Dubai, the crew sprayed the plane and I would like to know what was sprayed as it was awful and what if any chemicals were sprayed on us. Perhaps it would be better to spray the plane before the passengers board the plane."
Cons: "There was only one flight attendant would didn't assist my friend when we asked her to please take my friend's food tray away. My friend Emily Bayne was having a major discomforting eye allergy attack. Emily eyes were burning, dry, turning red, and very itchy and she wanted to go to the bath room to run warms water over her eyes, however she had the food tray and so we push the attendant help button. But when the flight attendant came to see what we needed and we asked if she could please take Emily's food tray, she just said I will come back later for that. So I told Emily just go to the bathroom I will hold your food tray. Emily Bayne was seated in the middle and I had the aisle seat, 44H. While Emily was in the bathroom I complained to another flight attendant what had happened, she took our food trays and then told her supervisor what happened. The supervisor came shortly and assisted Emily by granting her request and providing her with two warm wet towels, and later 5 more. The supervisor and the other attendant that I complained to continue to check throughout the fljght to see if Emily needed anything else, which was nice and accommodating. The flight after that incident was good, as the supervisor immediately corrected the insensitive act of his flight attendant."

Cons: "We were allowed down the jet way to board only to come to a closed plane door - waited for at least 5 minutes for plane door to be opened. Crew seemed tired and disengaged. Walked on the plane asked crew how they were and got less than good reply. In flight woman never smiled, overall crew seemed tired and as though they did not want to be there. Perhaps SFO based crew on way home? Tired from flight over to Dubai? But it was really noticeable and a real difference from the flight over to Dubai from SFO 2 weeks earlier."

Cons: "We arrived onetime yet Emirates did not have a gate at SFO so we were parked on the tarmac for over an hour after a 16 hours flight. When we got thru immigration in record time due to the newly installed kiosks, we waited for 2.5hours to get our luggage, there was only one carousel open for an entire A380 airplane with all its luggage and the boxes were piling up on each other, some of them were crushed due to overloading, it took them 2 hours to open a second carousel to offload all of the bags. During this entire time, the Emirates representatives were unhelpful, the local SFO personnel were quite disorganized as well."

At Addis I was advised that the luggage was being transferred to the Tel Avid flight ET404 3. On arrival at Tel Aviv - no luggage. Advised it would arrive Thurs afternoon and be delivered to my hotel. I asked which flight it would come on and when I could expect that it would be delivered. Was told that was not possible to confirm. IN MY MIND THAT INDICATES THAT THIS IS NOT GENUINE CONFIRMATION. 4. I asked what arrangements would they make for me to get an allowance to cover costs of some clothing/toiletry items I would need to buy. Was told this is not Ethiopian Airlines policy!!!!! 5. This cannot be as there are international regulations in this regard. 6.YOU WILL PAY for express laundry service and a couple of items I'll need to buy today!!! 7. Tried calling 039754008 and only get a recorded message! THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY"

Pros: "The fact that this is a direct flight was incredible. However, the flight attendants should be better trained so they come across as more polished and polite to the passengers and match the better international airlines."
Cons: "The flight attendants only spoke in phrases "beef or pasta" "coffee or tea" throughout the flight rather than asking passengers something like, "Would you like some coffee or tea?" In addition, one flight attendant's standard response when he didn't hear something well was "heh?" rather that "excuse me" or "could you please say that again?". Also the headphones given out were of poor quality."

Cons: "As a disabled passenger (I was in a cast and crutches) I was amazed at the unhelpful treatment received from hostesses when I asked to be moved to a more suitable seat where I could stretch my leg out. The in-flight entertainment system didn't work at all. The head hostess announced to the plane that it would be fixed after dinner but nothing changed. There were no movies or music for 16 hours. No water/drinks were served during the flight, outside of mealtimes. I was given the wrong meal but ate it anyway because I didn't want to bother the hostesses, who were quite rude and unhelpful. The plane was old, the seats hard, the whole interior showing it's age. Were it not for the fact that SAA is the only direct flight to South Africa, I would never fly this airline. The fact that it was voted the best airline in Africa for 2016 is pretty depressing."

Pros: "I got help with the boarding pass and once on the plane was very impressed with the comfort of the interior and cleanliness of the plane. I would definitely fly with that airline again."

Pros: "I liked that I got the seat I wanted (bulkhead) even though I had to pay for it. It made all the difference and I was able to sleep. I also liked the fact that I had onboard entertainment as I haven't had any on the last 6 flights on SAA. It was a pleasant surprise!"

The issue was not resolved. 3/4 of the plane ride one bathroom did not have soap. That is not hygienic. In addition, I was very hungry during the first half of the plane ride. It is almost a 9 hour flight and we were served only 1 meal. That is not sufficient."

Cons: "Our flight time moved up one hour and no one notified me. If I wasn't at the airport early I would have missed my flight and my connection"

Cons: "Although mechanical problem had been known about for more than 6 hours, passengers only received notice of a delay 2 hours before the boarding time. The delay continued to be extended until it reached an 8 hour delay. The "mechanical" problem was the need to replace a tire. The airline told us that they had to send a crew form Washington, DC to New York to drive back with the tire. Including the time of the delay and the additional time that the plane was on the ground prior to the delay, this "repair" took 18 hours. As a frequent flyer, I received an email from the airline that the flight was going to be delayed the full 8 jours. The board at the gate initially only listed a 3 hour delay. When I inquired, the attendant told me not to say anything because that had not been officially announced yet. Once we boarded the plane, there was no apology. As we boarded (after 18 hours of the plane being at the same gate), they announced that they would then begin refueling the plane. Throughout the flight, the crew seemed annoyed and annoyed. Throughout the delay, other passengers talked about similar delays and the financial issues that the airline has been having. I would avoid this airline - they seem to be struggling."

Pros: "the gate changed and we didn't find out about it until quite late - we were sitting right near the original gate and finally realized that very few others were there; by the time we got to the new gate, almost all of the overhead compartment space was taken, and we had to fight to hold onto our very expensive equipment. in the meantime i had to unpack/repack my bag in the middle of the onramp while people walked into me. after our initial long flight, it was more than i could take. your crew was very kind AFTER i started crying, but the drama coud have been avoided by better communication up front."

Pros: "When we finally were in the air the flight was okay, food and entertainment were fine."
Cons: "We were delayed so long by so many ridiculous reasons, most of which were due to what seemed like incompetence of the airline and the night crew. The day crew and captain that came in to replace seemed a little bit better. The whole experience seemed unreal in the amount of problems and excuses given in just trying to take off. We were stuck at the airport or in the plane itself for a total of 15.5 hrs, with not much food/water/entertainment/ or even much communication. It was pretty awful."

Cons: "I got to the airport to find that my 19:15 flight had been delayed to 22:15. I hadn't received any notification from BA and still do not know the reason for the delay. The only other option available was for BA to put us on the 20:20 Kulula flight to Lanseria and then shuttle us from Lanseria to OR Tambo. It really is not pleasant to get back home so late on a week night and not even be given any warning or any reason for the huge delay."

Cons: "Poor service from the customer service phone line. Pure waste of time. Couldn't help with simple questions about checking in...Sad"

Pros: "Lie flat bed"
Cons: "Non-A380 plane feels very old now and in need of an overhaul. My biggest complaint was the food. On the outbound leg (SFO-LHR) I had the pasta dish which was dry and poorly cooked so on the return flight I opted for the beef dish which was ok. I thought that the pasta was just a one-off issue. When the pre-landing meal arrived, it was so bad I had to look at the menu to see what it was (pea mousse with artichoke and almonds). It was completely inedible. Finally the amenities bag consisted of hand cream, face lotion and lip balm as well as the std toothpaste, socks, eyeshades etc. in the past there were far more items in the bag. Overall it feels like BA has cut costs and I had a reasonable deal on my flight price which I was willing to pay just to have a lie flat bed. I can't imagine if I paid $5K for this flight and had the same experience. I recently flew Emirates from SFO to Dubai in business class and it was comparable to first class in BA."

I left my sleep mask and in-flight socks because I expected British Air to provide those things as they have before. The snacks were insubstantial. No nuts, fruit, or cereal bars; only fluff. The "pizza" was tough. Not a good choice for microwaving."

Cons: "The BA ticket counter did not open early enough with enough staff to get all passengers checked in time. As such, the plane was delayed and we missed this connecting flight. Other people were in the same boat. We had no chance to make our connection but others did. While the flight crew offered weak apologies advising they had no control, they made no effort to help connecting passengers in ways the could control. Such as asking all passengers to remain seated allowing connecting passengers off the plane first. Something I've seen done on many other airlines numerous times."

Pros: "Boarding was quick and efficient and the crew was friendly and very helpful. The one flight was on time, but the other can be excused because of a technical fault on the plain. Safety is priority #1 so although a 3 hour delay was not nice, i'd rather be safe than sorry!"
Cons: "The food was absolutely appalling on both flights... We received a cheese snack. It was an old sesame seed bun ,with a very thin, small slice of cheese which you could hardly taste on it. With that they placed cucumber, that does not add to the taste of the dish, but only makes the bread soggy. There is also a piece of lettuce on that is past its crunchy freshness it is supposed to have. The last ingredient is sun-dried tomato that was the only ray of light for a poor effort of a snack by BA. I can truly say that during the past year BA's in flight food service on local flights, are on a downward spiral and almost in the dumps."

Cons: "We booked on Kayak for a British Airways flight international--but it was a bait and switch. We ended up flying on American Airlines--the WORST! And our whole reason for booking British Airways was to avoid any US airline... We paid a premium, plus Kayak then sends you to a third party processor that charges you another $100 booking fee! American Airlines was terrible! Not even an entertainment center on on this flight (OLD PLANE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE!). THIS WAS A BARE BONES PLANE> We will NEVER use KAYAK again."

Cons: "The food vendor did not supply the right number of each type of meal so they ran out of 2 types of meals almost immediately. This made for frustrated customers & BA flight attendants apologizing for things that were not their direct mistake."

Cons: "Lost my wife's reservation for return trip. Thus, lost the extra luggage reservation and payment as well. Seems Aer Lingus failed to input her ticket properly into BA system. That's what BA claimed, anyway. It had been a mystery as to why we could not check in on line so we knew something was wrong. Could not easily pick up phone to correct while in UK. FINALLY, BECAUSE OF LATE CHECKIN, SEATS WERE MIDDLE MIDDLE in a giant airbus jet and quite a bit less desirable than we usually get by checking in early and arriving early. Overall a disappointment, tho we arrived safely and nearly on time."

Pros: "This flight had. USB charger. First in 4 flights to do so. A380 was slightly more comfortable than outbound aircraft."

This would be OK for a shorter flight, but for 6 hours is ridiculous. This was worse than even the cheapest economy carrier. American Airlines bad service is definitely not what i was expecting booking a flight through British airways, which is consistently top- notch."

Cons: "It took us over an hour to board. There were 3 lines. 3 attendants. One attendant would leave and we would be left standing there for 20 min. Then they lost my luggage. After 1 day they said they found it in Rome. Each day I would call and they said Rome wasn't sending it. They said they were in India and they couldn't do anything. Finally after 5 days I got it"

Pros: "Overall it was good. Food and service were great. While in the air, this is one of the quietest flights I've been on. I was impressed with the food compared to other flights I have been on and I felt that there was way way more space in a normally priced seat."
Cons: "Take off and landing were a bit rough. Since there are so many people on this plane boarding can be a bit of a nightmare. Overall good. Slight delay but not bad."

Cons: "Crew didn't address complaints, loud party like atmosphere for crew without regard for passengers. The Airbus wobbles when it hits turbulent air, which makes air sickness common."

Cons: "They cancelled our flight and the only reason we flew with them is so that we could fly on an L380. After they booked us on American Airlines, they rescheduled the flight that we really paid for. THEN, when we tried to check in at the airport we found out that BA did not actually book us on American even though they gave us seat assignments. We almost missed our flight home because of their horrible service. Will NEVER fly BA again."

Cons: "BA overbooked the flight - left us guessing if we would be able to board the flight till the last minute. Finally, when they gave us the seats, we had to rush through security and run all the way to the gate. Not how you want to end your vacation. For both the meals, when they stopped by my wife, incredibly they were out of the meal of her choice! Hope their service gets better."
