Cons: "My seat wasn’t clean. Dirt was visible. We used Clorox wipes to clean it before sitting down. If someone had previously sat there with an illness, we would certainly be at risk. Very disappointing to see during Covid-19 outbreak."

Cons: "I could have been warned that you need to get a pass to go to Hanga Roa before you can board. I had checked because I had heard there was a fee but upon investigation, it was said that this requirement had been eliminated. Wrong!! You still need the pass but you don’t get charged a fee. The extra time required for this tedious meant we missed our chance to check bags and do incurred hundreds of dollars more to get on the same flight the next day. No Bueno!!! This should be highlighted up front!!"
Pros: "When we arrived at airport to check in there was no internet and only people who had checked in much earlier on their phones could go to the boarding area. A large number of people had to wait for "somebody" to write (!) boarding passes. All of this was quite a mess and took a long time."

Cons: "Checking in at the counter and boarding the aircraft can use some polishing. The boarding process is confusing due to lack of communication to customers and faulty speaker/PA systems at LATAM gates."
Pros: "My three LATAM flights were all on-time, well-piloted and efficiently run. They are not responsible for airport-related issues in Lima. Taking off at over 11.00 feet and landing at sea level must be like having most of the air leak out of your tires while driving, but these guys take that in stride."

Cons: "We flew Latam to go snowboarding in Argentina. The moment we arrived at the desk to check in, it was chaos. We waited in line for almost 2 hours to check in. When we got to Buenos Aires, our snowboard bags had not made it on the flight. Having to deal with Latam agents who hardly spoke English and were not helpful at all was intensity frustrating. Our bags finally got to our destination 2 days later. We had to drive to the airport to pick them up because they were not going to deliver them for another day, so we would have been 3 days without our snowboard gear. Latam did nothing to compensate us for the days lost no did they even seem to care. This is one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. I booked a return flight on Delta and lost $1000 just so I don’t have to deal with Latam again. Any money you save on a flight is not worth having to deal with this company. Stick with reliable American-based companies with customer service that is up to American standards."

Cons: "Original schedule pulled in one day due to Hurricane Irma cancellation/rebook from MIA to SCL. LAN wanted $280US to change ticket. I paid $160US for ticket originally. No sympathy from LAN for hurricane impacted travelors. Extremely poor customer relations!!"

They have to take us to the others Imigration building where we have to wait for suitecases together with 4 other flights. All that summed up to about 4 hours. Lost connection NO personal of Latam was there to help out. Had to buy another ticket."

Cons: "I showed up to my flight from Lima and was told by Latam that my flight wasn't in their system. Due to the late hour and lack of customer service agents by the time I was able to get to the front of the line (phone calls didn't go through to anyone) the time had passed for me to even check in. According to Latam, Virgin changed my flight and forgot to rebook my return home. I ended up sleeping at the Lima airport, paying out of pocket almost $2000 and having to fly through Miami. No one took responsibility for the fact my ticket was changed and I wasn't informed - unacceptable."

Cons: "Everything. We never made it to the last flight because they cancelled our flight home, stranding us (myself, husband and 2 small children) in Ecuador. I have traveled extensively for almost 20 years and have NEVER dealt with such a terrible company with such shady employees. It was unbelievable and we aren't the only ones. Just take a peek at their social media accounts. They don't allow reviews anymore but there is a community of people who have been stranded in South America by LATAM and the link is easily found. They seem to have a ploy to try and get people to buy extra tickets. Seriously a scam. Stay away!"

Cons: "One crew member jacked my blanket and gave it to a different passenger. Also, my originally assigned window seat was reserved for cabin crew, so I was moved to an aisle seat that was narrower than my previous seat due to its in-armrest tray table."

Cons: "I went to Argentina to spend 4 days with my family, wich I didn't see for 2 years. I arrived to Mendoza. I wait until the last suitcase shows. Any of my suitcases arrived. I spent another hour making the complain. I had to come back to the airport in the evening and spent another hour for my baggages. Unfortunate i waist my first day in the airport and only spent 3 days with my family. Also the day that I had to return to USA the LATAN fly was late 1 and a half hour."

Cons: "The plane was not clean at all. Mine and my friend's seatbelts both had chewed gum stuck on them which we had to cover with some plastic wrap to keep it from getting on our clothing. Our tray tables were disgusting. It looked like someone had spilled food all over them and no one ever cleaned it, so we had to clean the tables ourselves."
