Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

I really hesitate to even call a flight attendant whenever I fly, so I'm not high maintenance. Incident 1: The flight from DPS to Singapore the flight attendant scoffed when I asked for socks saying that economy passenger don't receive socks on this flight. I didn't appreciate the suggestion that my class wasn't worthy of meeting my request. Her response felt condescending. Her continued interaction with me consistently felt short and mildly irritated with me. I didn't understand why. Honestly, I won't fly Singapore again because of this. Flights are not cheap for me. I spend the extra few hundred dollars because of great reviews and a superior experience last year. I will not be spoken to in a condescending way. On the second leg of my travel from Singapore to LAX the flight attendant once again said that I will not be given socks? Why, thought? I'm traveling for over 30 hours. Have things changed? Second, I asked for a second ice-cream. She handed me the ice-cream then took it out my hand and told me she would have to come back to me. The galley that was suppose to have food didn't seem to have anything. Was I missing something. Be fail on many level."

Cons: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."

On the flights to and from, even though he was on he aisle side seat, it was very difficult for him to have enough room for his legs, thus making my space that much less. In the future, I think we would benefit from booking either the seat behind us for him that had more leg room, or the seats in front of us that were the first seats of all rows."

Cons: "My flight to Narita was fabulous, so I was surprised to find the return flight home filled with a condescending crew, terrible food, and a broken entertainment system. We had requested a Muslim meal on the previous flight, but the food was so spicy and smelly that we chose to go with the normal faire on the way back. I changed it on the website when I checked in online but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that the meal was still set as a muslim meal. The representative at the baggage counter called the plane and made sure that it was changed back to a normal meal. However, when it was dinner time we were presented with muslim meals. When we spoke to the head airhost to request a normal meal he said that they only carried a specific number and an leftover meals were for the crew only and that we had to eat the muslim meals or have sandwiches. We requested the sandwiches - the muslim meal was too spicy and had made us sick before. The "sandwiches" were pretty much two slabs of dry bread with some mayo slapped on. Disgusting and dry. I wish they could have made an exception for us or provided us with something edible. It was a long flight and we were starving by the time breakfast rolled around. The crew was condescending and cold. My entertainment system lacked functionality; some of the buttons on my remote were broken."

After requesting a drink I got on the way to Tokyo, I was told that they would make it and come back. No one came back with the drink. The second time they came around with orange juice. I asked just for water since I was over the drink. They said they would get it and never came back. I had to use the call button and ask again for water."

The crew was very friendly and allowed us to sleep most of the flight --- I guess they figured that most of the travelers prefer to just sleep and not be disturbed during a 15-hour flight. There was a good selection of movies and shows to watch to pass the time. I liked that there was time to go on the city tour of Doha and that there is a counter at the airport for the city tour."
Cons: "My flight started in Kathmandu and the layover for the connecting flight from Doha to LAX was 12 hours. I hope Qatar can come up with a schedule that will reduce the layover down to less hours while still giving passengers time to go on the city tour, if they want to."

And snack offerings were ice cream, potato chips, candy bars and a few apples (ran out of apples). Need more healthy options. Cons: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Cons: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!"

Cons: "My seat was broken so I sat up right for 16 hours. To top it off I needed to use the toilet REALLY bad but was denied even though we were SITTING on the runway for 20 mins. When I FINALLY get to use the toilet, after a smaller Asian girl and a taller Indian girl were getting bags of blankets out of, I leave a WOODEN CLIPBOARD full of VERY important papers that will cost me inside. Yet when I call to retrieve them they are "nowhere to be found" so you're telling me out of those 2 women, the Indian gentleman, the black woman & the other Asian woman back there didn't notice a clipboard when I was the only person back there trying to use the toilet or they simply threw a wooden and metal clipboard away ?? With what was clearly paperwork clipped onto it ? The girl at the service desk of Qatar airways claims to have looked herself. But she was rushing me off of the phone so I don't feel like she remotely cared even a little. I am PAST unhappy. So thank you for throwing my paperwork away I know for sure was left behind. Very thorough team."

I did not had anything to wear, I had to purchase basic stuff. It was a very inconvinient travel. I want compensation from Kayak as you guys confirmed my booking and I come to know at the Doha airport the flight is full. HOw did you issue me a ticket??"

Cons: "Originally, I had 2 flights scheduled from Myanmar to SF. One connecting flight from Yangon to Taipei, then from Taipei to San Francisco with a 7 hour lay over in between. Not too bad. 3 weeks before my vacation to Myanmar, China airlines moved my return connecting flight from Yangon to Taipei a day early, which meant I would need to cancel hotel reservations in Yangon and would be stranded in Taipei overnight. I called China Airlines and the only option was to move my 2nd flight a day early. No apologies or reason why my connecting flight was changed a day earlier."

The various walks feel like mazes, and going from one terminal to another, even by tram, is time-consuming and tiring. We fly to Europe often, but we will try to avoid both British Airways (Airbuses, at least) and Heathrow."

The first meal had peaches for dessert but my second meal offering had no substitute for the cake given to other passengers. The snack box contained sweet and salty popcorn,salted crisps and malteasers which are to be avoided by diabetics . Overall my dietary needs were poorly serviced by BA on this flight."

Cons: "Not really related to the flight itself, but this was my first time flying British Airways, and they have a policy where you can't pick your seat until 24-hour in advance unless you pay an extra fee to choose early. I thought this was similar to Southwest's early bird check-in where no one really opts to pay for such a feature, but apparently with British Airways, everyone pays to pick a seat early. I checked in to my flight literally one minute after the site opened up and there were only middle seats left. So, if you've never flown BA before and you have a long flight, you might want to pay the extra fee to choose your seat early."

Even for a huge flight like 787 you still have to take the shuttle to board. Can't they request a gate for big air crafts like this? And then the food is really bad. If you don't have to land in CAN, I would consider flying to HKG instead with Cathay Pacific."

The flight ended up getting delayed 30 minutes, then another 30, then an hour, and longer until the flight was delayed 5 hours total. China Southern employees at HAN wouldn’t move us to new flights and tried to tell us that we would make our layover in CAN despite this flight landing at 11:15 and our flight from CAN leaving at 10:05. We checked online and found there were no flights out of CAN to SFO until 24 hours later, yet there was a routing directly out of HAN. We told the employees it would be useless for them to fly us to CAN because we would be stuck there. They ignored us and told us it was fine and to fly to China. When we tried to explain, the employee simply walked away. We landed in CAN and were met with employees who first told us at 12:30pm flight to LAX the next day was booked full and they wanted us to wait 24 hours. When I told them that wasn’t true, they recanted and said “oh we can get you on the flight.” I asked for compensation since this was the second layover that was missed because of airline failure and a manager at the Transfer Desk told us he could not upgrade us to premium seating because all the seating was sold out. When we finally sat on the 12:30PM flight to LAX we found that not only did Economy have open seats, but so did premium seating. We were lied to by the manager at the Transfer Desk in CAN and when we explained the situation to flight attendants that we wanted one of the open seats they told us no. In addition, during our overnight stay in CAN due to China Southern employees at HAN not switching our routing, we were put in a hotel that smelled of smoke and had water stains in the room. We were woken up early to catch a shuttle back to the airport and when we arrived at the airport to ask for food vouchers to eat breakfast since our layover was longer than 12 hours, we were also told no. Overall I am completely dissatisfied with both flights on China Southern. I was lied to, cheated, and held up over 24 hours in China due to airline mistake and their unwillingness to book us new tickets. I spent hours at airports talking to airline employees and because of these hours spent we should be reimbursed for our flight."

Cons: "Delayed my initial flight 5 hours due to "weather" which was a rainstorm in which other planes of all sizes were landing and taking off. The storm would have been avoided had the plane been on time to begin with. Missed my connection and then had to argue with the manager for 2+ hours just to get a flight that wasn't a full 24 hours away. Was then told that they couldn't upgrade my seat because the flight was full, both business and premium economy had empty rows of seats. Throughout the experience China Southern employees lied to me and did everything possible to make the process harder. Had multiple employees just walk away from me without helping. Will never fly China Southern ever again."

We got the Asian vegetarian meal and it was pretty good for airplane food -- two Indian-style meals served at either end of the flight."

Pros: "This was my first time using the China southern airline and it was better than I was expecting. The food was good, and the I was kind of surprised that they have so many movies. I usually prefer to sleep because of lack of entertainment but this time I watched 4 movies on the way to SFO. I had a layover in China for 14 hours and I thought I was gonna stay in the airport but they arranged me a free hotel. They didn't mention in the email but I could rest well and they even had a shuttle bus to the airport in the morning. It was a great experience."

Cons: "Planes did not pull up to the gate - sometimes shuttle times were exceedly long. Meal quality inconsistent - meals from Wuhan to Bangkok were not appetizing at all!"

Pros: "Wide selection of movies and other entertainment."
Cons: "Leg room cramped for tall (6 ft 2 in) person on an 11 hour flight."

Pros: "Lots of kiddie and action movies (but very few interesting ones!)"
Cons: "NO leg room! Extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Had less than an inch between my knee and seat in front. Very hard to get in and out of seat. Terrible tasteless food. Wine served in tiny cups (two oz?) and ran out after the first serving. China Southern is also impossible to reach--they don't answer phones, there's no website that I could find. So seat assignments were made at airport, and each time we got seats right next to bathroom with loud flushing sounds all night long. Terrible excuse for an airline."

Pros: "A380 Business class has new seat configuration that offsets all seats and each is its own "pod". The equipment is new and very comfortable. People on both segments were very nice"
Cons: "787 Dreamliner is a fairly new plane outfitted with Business class seats from 15 years ago. They are side by side with no dividers and very uncomfortable. ALSO, they did not even board from jetbridge. We had to take shuttle bus past the entire airport and past the maintenance hangers to our plane. Flight from CAN to SFO makes "stop" in Wuhan, China for 2.5 hour layover. 1) Disembark onto shuttle bus. 2) Travel across airport. 3) Go through immigration or customs AGAIN and then security check of luggage 4) Walk 1/2 mile to business lounge 5) spend less than 10 minutes in lounge 6) get back on bus to be taken back to airplane. 7) wait another 1/2 hour b4 departure. Weird place to stop and even crazier procedures."

Pros: "TONS of movies to watch on my 787! My friend who took a different international flight on the same airlines"

Pros: "1. The food was actually very tasty 2. The crew was nice for the most part 3. The price I paid was decent $496 for one way from Manila to SF"
Cons: "1. The seats were too close together and not comfortable. The arm rests were too short and my elbows kept pushing the overhead light on. 2. The audio jacks was broken so I had to jiggle the headphones in the socket to get the audio and even then it wasn't good so I just gave up on watching a movie 3. They don't allow use of cell phones even in airplane mode"

Pros: "The planes are new."
Cons: "They don't allow cell phone use in airplane mode at anytime during the flight. China has a law against cellphone use on planes and they enforce it in international airspace and over other countries's airspace as well. This is a violation of passengers' rights."

Pros: "price point"
Cons: "They changed my flight hours before I was due to leave to another flight the arrived later then my connecting flight left. They offered to change the flight to one that would cause a 23 hour layover in Ghangzhou. They refused to pay for accommodation or even upgrade me for the inconvenience. The customer service representatives were rude and not helpful. I ended up having to get a refund. I flew with Korean Airlines and had a great experience. I'll never consider using them again."

A long bus ride, seemed excessive to board the plane Lack of instructions at departure after checking in and the departure counter they did not call by row numbers to Load the back of the plane first , everyone pushing and shoving. Very disorganized will Fly another carrier from past experience"

Pros: "My parents were excited about their first time visit to the United States."

Cons: "Long process to board including taking a bus from one terminal to another terminal. Food was just average"

Pros: "There was nothing to like at the wuhan airport. However, the flight from wuhan to san francisco was OK. Food was OK, but lacked variety."
Cons: "We did not understand the reason for stopover at Wuhan. Did not understand the reason for immigration formality, like arrival or departure formalities. It was tiring and frustrating. The leg space and size of the seat could improve for such a long flight. Entertainment was of poor choice and very limited."

Cons: "no customer service automated phone systems are better than this airline cuistomer service.rudeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

Cons: "Worst service ever!!!"
