The Netherlands has restricted the entry of travelers arriving flights from outside of the EU, who are not nationals, residence permit holders, or long-stay visa holders of EEA Member States, Switzerland, or their families. Exemptions exist for some special cases, for example, travelers attending funerals or studying in an institution in the Netherlands. A complete list of exemptions can be found here.
From January 1, UK nationals are no longer classified as EU/EEA nationals and will not be allowed entry to the Netherlands. These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in the Netherlands. Essential travel is still permitted. They will be allowed to re-enter the country, but will need to present residency permit, a certificate of application or a document with their address, and may be subject to questioning by Dutch border authorities when they arrive in the Netherlands.
The EU non-essential travel ban has also been lifted for residents of Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand and Uruguay.
The Dutch Government has a color-coded system of high-risk (orange) and lower risk (yellow) countries and regions. Travelers entering from high-risk (orange) regions or countries are required to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival.

On July 16, the Dutch government announced an additional exemption for foreigners engaged in long-distance relationships with Dutch citizens/residents. For more information visit here.
Non-EU nationals who are not currently resident in or physically present in the EU are still subject to travel restrictions, and will not be allowed to enter the Netherlands for tourism.
From December 15, travelers who arrive from a country that is not on the EU ‘safe countries of origin’ list and who are exempt from the EU travel ban applicable to the Netherlands will need to produce the following documents:
An official negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to arrival. Children under the age of 13 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result.
A completed and signed Negative Test Declaration.
In addition, to the existing requirements for travelers, travelers from Ireland, the UK or South Africa must also show a negative result from a rapid test (antigen or LAMP test) or PCR test. The test must have been conducted no more than 4 hours prior to boarding the flight. Children under the age of 13 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result. The test requirements do not replace the requirement to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival.
Travelers must be in possession of printed versions of both the negative test result and the declaration. It is not acceptable to show a digital version on a phone or tablet.

However KLM allowed a passenger — who did not pay for the emergency row to sit next to me because he needed the extra space because he was a liarge man, and clearly didn’t fit very well in the economy seats. Thus I I lost all the extra space and actually would of preferred a regular economy seat. that would’ve been more preferential then paying $60 and getting less space than I would’ve had it in a regular economy. I understand the other passengers comfort was important and if that was the case he should’ve paid $60 as well."

Cons: "I had a problem getting a boarding pass that was a carryforward from a problem that I had had on the flights from the USA to Frankfort 2 weeks earlier. On those flights, I was denied boarding on the flight from Amsterdam to Frankfort because of miscommunication between Delta and KLM. Apparently, the staff who dealt with that problem did not note that the issue had occurred, so it looked like there were "out-of-sequence" segments on my initial flight and I was not allowed to check in electronically. It took several calls to KLM and Delta in Frankfurt to try to resolve the problem and finally it was determined that it could only be resolved at the airport. Other than a very nice KLM representative, the other people I talked to seemed unwilling to engage in helping me and sent me along to someone else. Although the problem was ultimately fixed, this was not a great customer service experience."

The way they handle this for myself and the other passenger with an instrument made our day, as well as making boarding smoother forbus and everyone else. Really excellent job on that!"

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

There were no monitors on the seat backs and no choice of entertainment, only monitors hanging from the ceiling. I suppose the airline assumes, probably correctly, that these days everybody has their own entertainment on laptop or tablet. The problem here, though, was that there were no charging plugs at the seats, so you’d better have a full battery when you get on and hope it lasts. Of course, I could have just read the inflight magazine, except that my reading light was broken. Food was decent for airline food."

My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. The system auto-rebooked many passengers on the flight on a 2 connections flight to arrive in Rotterdam for the following day. This was obviously not a suitable alternative. However after hours of waiting at the gate to get a better flight, an american airlines representative was able to rebook a flight to amsterdam via london that was still not until the following evening. I had to stay in philadelphia overnight and had to find a room on my own. The flight the next day went better however I still lost a day and a half of my trip. Unfortunalely for me, the issues did not end there. There was an issue in communication with british airways; american airlines never gave them the new flight details so british airways marked me as a no show for the Rotterdam flight and cancelled my return flight. By luck i called the day before my flight back to the US since i felt something was wrong. British airways representative was able to rebook me on a similar flight for the same day. Will most likely not use this airline again for international flights"

Everyone was hanging over each other's seat. There was no leg room. Everyone on the plane was upset and in disbelief that for 7 hours we would have to fly like that. Spending thousands of dollars, I did not expect this extremely closterphobic conditions. I would have paid extra for better seats. Not a happy customer."

The entire flight everybody walked over it in to the carpet. Friendlynes and service are two words that does not apply to this crew. From the first flight till the last flight AA made a mess out of it. Canceled our flight in JFK, no help or service, you are on your own when AA cancels a flight, after rebooking our flight we had a 7 hour stopover at Dallas, again no service, no voucher, no nothing. Then today with our return flight AA could not find our ticket numbers, turns out that when they rebooked our inbound flight they forgot to take over the return flight...cost us 2 hours and 10 minutes to check in at LGA Never, ever again with AA, even easyJet provides better service then AA does on intercontinental flight!"
