Many of their connecting flights at Frankfurt are scheduled within an hour of arrival. This possess a high risk of missing your connecting flight. I experienced this personally as a major number of my fellow travelers missed their connecting flights. Though Frankfurt has good directions, transfers take a long time due to multiple security checks and due to the size of the Airport. LAYOVER OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS WOULD BE BEST. Anything less, you risk missing your flight. I was personally selected TWICE for ‘random check’ for the same flight! Not sure how that can happen! The flight itself is long and arduous. the economy seats are small, cramped and don’t recline much at all. The entertainment selection was very limited. The TV touch screen barely worked. The food was tasteless and service was not much better. I have a hard time sleeping on flights with such bad seats but we had air hostess who kept talking the whole flight and that did not help with resting my eyes. I highly suggest taking a different airline through LAX. I personally feel like driving to LA and taking a flight there would be the wise move."

This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience."
Pros: "Flight was on time, crew professional, food and drinks good and kept coming. I learnt Dutch on the in-flight entertainment system. I was in a good mood talking to another passenger about his new luggage system. This mood was kept and not taken away on the flight."

The worst part about this flight was that I traveled with my girlfriend and when I went to check in, 24 hours before, there were only single seats left and there were so many open seats together that were considered “preferred” and had to pay $80 for just one “preferred” seat just so we can sit together on an 8 hour long flight. The seat didn’t even have any extra legroom or anything, it was a normal seat. American Airlines is just trying to squeeze money out of anything they can."

You were stuck with the selections provided by the airline. I would have brought along my DVD player or laptop had I know this was going to happen. American flight crews are not as friendly and accommodating as European flight crews, which is why I try not to select an American carrier. Seats are less comfortable on American carriers also."

We had no overhead storage, which was already small, so we had to put our carry-ons multiple rows behind us -- which made exiting the plane a pain. There wasn't any personal entertainment systems, just one tv per section. The food was sub par. The crew was nice enough, but I'll NEVER take American Airlines internationally again."

Upon our return flight, our pre booked exit row seats were switched on us right before boarding in a rude and matter of fact wayand my husband and I were separated one on either side of the aircraft. When we queried this, we were told it would be up to us to switch with the person sitting next to us. Overall very disappointing. I would not fly Iberia again."

They are clearly saving money on the food."
