Pros: it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag
Cons: it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag. They need more care with the bags
Pros: it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag
Cons: it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag. They need more care with the bags
Pros: Absolutely ridiculous ... sat on the runway longer than the flight.
Cons: Reason we sat on the runway longer than the flight is they were understaffed. Unacceptable.
Pros: Fue muy buen vuelo y el personal muy amable Gracias !!
Cons: Lo q mas me gusto q fue un vuelo a tiempo y amables el personal
Cons: I contact the airline, because I tested Covid-19 positive, and I didn't want to expose anyone to Covid. I am steel waiting for an answer to change my ticket. When I came to Mexico, the flying from Minneapolis - Houston was good Delta keep everyone social distance. The flight from Houston to Mexico City was AeroMexico was completely full NO SOCIALY DISTANCE TERRIBLE EXAMPLE !
Pros: Pilots. Flight attendants. Space. Left and arrived on time.
Pros: I appreciate that Delta leaves seats empty, for our health.
Cons: Snacks were all sugar-laden. Not good for anyone!
Pros: Customer service as always
Pros: I reached y destination.
Cons: One flight attendant yelled at me for switching seats, even though I had asked permission to move seats. Another flight attendant clumsily kicked me when leaning over to serve another passenger. After living in Japan, it's pretty rough to see the low bar of American customer service.
Pros: Nice smooth flight.
Cons: Tiny seats. No entertainment offered.
Pros: Smooth flight
Cons: No drink/snack service because of shorter flight times.
Cons: Plane left 4 mins early knowing that passengers were on a delayed flight.
Pros: It was horrible. Delta really should have cancelled and refunded the flight altogether.
Pros: Nice to have more room in the premium economy section.
Cons: Not even a smile from the crew and no help when asked. I don't expect Asian-style grace and class from an American airline, but I do expect good old-fashioned American friendliness, and there wasn't even that. Also hate the all-darkened cabin in the daytime.
Cons: If my baggage arrived
Cons: Got nothing to drink in 4 hours. Crew was LAZY
Pros: Crew was very nice.
Cons: Long delay with vague explanations why.
Pros: Friendly crew.
Cons: Slow boarding.
Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: Couldn’t hear/understand the pilot
Cons: There was a mechanical delay and I ended up missing my flight. Even though I arrived 10 minutes prior to departure.
Pros: Everything! Flight-Flight Attendants-Peanuts-Coffee-Pilot
Cons: I’d love to have a free fruit or veggie snack. Just a small bag
Pros: I have never seen a gate attendant call each person by name as she scanned their boarding passes! At Delta I felt welcomed by every employee. Even the pilots greeted the passengers as they exited. All the other airlines just want my money, they want to cram me into smaller and smaller spaces and want me to sit there and shut up so they don't have to interact with me. I will fly Delta every chance I get, even if I have to pay more money.
Cons: Didn’t get our beverage and snack till we were almost ready to land at Charlotte
Pros: On time
Cons: Small air craft
Pros: We landed safely - crew was nice enough.
Cons: Heard one crewmember make snarky comment about another passenger (A stranger). Had to wait on the ground for about 30 min for 6 crewmembers that “needed” to be in MN. Yeah, that was awesome with a 2 yo and 4 yo...
Pros: Snacks & drinks & TV movies good
Cons: One hostess was very rude & slow forget our headphones Kept getting me to help her with getting attention of other hostesses also very bad at giving snacks and kept my husband and another man waiting for 10 mins while she gathered rubbish despite repeated requests which would have been easy as she was at the front of plane obviously unsuited for this position
Pros: The flight is short and easy.
Cons: I always try to purchase an aisle seat. I feel like there is more room and I don’t feel trapped against a window. This flight a man with very broad shoulders sat in the middle seat. I felt like he should have paid for half my ticket since he sat in half my seat. Thankfully the flight is short. Had it been my second flight I would have been quite upset.
Pros: The crew was nice.
Cons: This was an older, smaller plane and it had more leg room. Appears I’ll have to start checking Delta to see what birds flying the leg.
Pros: Quick, efficient, affordable!
Pros: Ice weather and flight cancelled, but they waited until the last minute to cancel it.
Cons: Ice weather and flight cancelled, but they waited until the last minute to cancel it.
Pros: It's a rather short flight. We grabbed 12A and 12B (should've gone for 10A and 10B when the choice was there) as knees started to hurt. Fine SLC lounge one is fine (mac-and-cheese, chicken, Baileys behind the bar, etc.) to make you happy prior to departure.
Cons: No food, snacks are okay though so this is a wash considering it was a short flight. Sky priority bagging ... doesn't matter. We saw several other bags get unloaded along with ours. No Delta lounge at the destination (RNO)
Pros: Good choice of video programs.
Cons: The flight attendant took 25 minutes to appear, and had enough time for one round of service. First class, at least you should get two drinks. Fly basic economy, there just isn’t any reason to fly first class.
Pros: I like service
Cons: My seat was in the last row on an MD88 where the engines are in the tail fin. Felt like I had a washing machine with a bag of rocks in it next to my head the whole flight. The intercom system also had a gnarly hum/screech when the attendants we're talking so you could barely hear them.
Pros: Plane nice and comfortable
Pros: The initial boarding process was quick, smooth flight
Cons: I've never had a flight wait over 30 minutes past departure got other people to make a connection and get on to this flight. Seems beyond normal and wrong to those that were there in time and on the flight to support an on time departure
Pros: Courteous crew and smooth flight
Cons: The plane was late to JFK and then we had to wait for them to deboard and prepare for us to get one. Now we are in DCA and we can’t even get to our gate for another 10 mins
Pros: Crew was very attentive and curtious. Boarding was a bit more chaotic than usual and the gate agent made no announcement about boarding procedure, which certainly contributed to the scrum resulting. I arrived from the Skyclub several minutes prior to boarding time and was unable to find a path through to the Priority Boarding Lane. As boarding began she had to redirect at least seventy-five percent of those in front of me as they were not in First Class. Had she made one or more clear announcements about boarding procedure I rather doubt such a misunderstanding would have occurred with so many.
Cons: For the third Delta flight in a row (all First Class) the crew did not make any effort to keep economy class cuctomers form storing bags in the First Class overhead or using the only First Class laveratory during flight. This flight I was unable to utilize the laveratory even once due to this excessive and continuous useage. Trying to do my bit to reduce our carbon footprint, yet I am sorely tempted to return to charter service when disrespect of the airlines own basic service class rules gets piled on top of TSA hassles.
Pros: I always love flying on Delta! The service is always excellent. The crew is always nice and attentive!
Pros: Delta strives for and delivers excellence. I am almost never disappointed. Keep it up!
Cons: You don't always get the best seat buddies! Oh well.
Cons: No entertainment, no power outlets, no food, crappy overhead bins
Cons: There delay
Cons: Crew allowed passenger to leave bag on floor between seats on emergency exit. This is a safety violation.
Pros: Crew was very good and nice on the flight
Cons: Flight terminal was changed about 30 to 45 minutes before boarding Flight was delayed due to AC problem Configuration of the plane was terrible. Little leg room but the windows did not align with the seats so a window was shared with two rows making it challenging to open or close a window without disturbing the passenger in the other row with whom the window is being shared. No charging outlets in the terminal or on the plane. Plane had no food to offer for purchase. Expected better from Delta.
Cons: Awful experience. Delta left us stranded on the runway for 3 hours. Pathetic airline.
Pros: Delta Comfort seats
Cons: Delta employee who drive shuttle to connection stopped to drop off a passenger and proceed to chat w other workers thereby getting me to my gate late and missing my connection and getting me to Florida almost 3 hours later than planned. Agents at desk in JFK were rude. There was another Delta employee also on the shuttle who was the only one who seemed to show concern. He alerted the driver, called the boarding gate and led me to it.
Cons: Delayed and crews attitude. Also being seated next to someone when the plain is half empty
Pros: Crew ok. Not much information given.
Cons: Bad weather. Bumpy. Low visibility. I can understand. I am a diabetic. Held for hours. No opportunity to purchase food. Two days to travel to CIU from Detroit, then flights cancelled. Rented a car to get home.
Pros: Flight attendants were very nice
Cons: Overbooking flights
Pros: We got to our destination.
Cons: Better social distancing standards. People are still getting sick even with the vaccine.
Pros: After the GSO - PHL flight, I mistakenly boarded a flight to Portland Maine PWM. Why didn’t the gate attendant catch this error?
Cons: Attention to detail by both the gate agent and myself.
Pros: Nice to fly again!
Pros: Everything! Staff and service. I like the Free WiFi also.
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Uneventful flight! Love that!
Cons: The crew is just over it all. They are Tired & put out by the job. They cannot even pretend to like their jobs. Quite unfortunate.
Pros: The flight crew and the captain were terrific.
Cons: Gate agents were rude. Everybody was forced to check-in their carry on luggage due to the small plane. This information should have been shared before boarding. We were informed as we were boarding and had to scramble to remove the laptop from our carry-on and help up passengers behind us from boarding. A totally unnecessary stressful situation created by the gate agents for failing to share information. Once we got onboard we saw carry-ons larger then what we were forced to check-in. Evidently, enforcement of standards is at the gate agents' discretion.
Cons: Plane was delayed for 1 hour, electrical problems, which were never fixed. No entertainment no wifi, unable to charge battery on cell phone. Cabin very warm.
Pros: Comfortable seats with plenty of legroom.
Cons: The counter agent charged us for one bag when it should have been free. According to her, there was nothing she could do as that's what the computer stated. She did mention we have a receipt so we can ask for a refund. Why was she even there?? Could have done the same with a kiosk.
Pros: I am traveling with my 79yr old infirm mother. The crew was so kind & so helpful! On the scale of 1-10 (10=Best) they were like 100! Even though my flight was delayed a bit it was still VERY GOOD! Plus the flight was amazing. The flight was also amazing. Even though we were flying though a storm.
Cons: You couldn’t have been on time because of the storm so there’s nothing that you could have done
Cons: Paid for seats so I could sit with my guy - still had zero leg room. Generally disappointed with the state of air travel in the US - feels like we're being herded like cattle. Would like to vote with my dollars to help airlines that value customers and aren't trying to pinch pennies/nickel & dime us
Pros: Crew was amazing considering we had a delay for a 18 minute flight due to weather. They passed out water etc.. even though they didn't have to
Cons: Boarding process was chaotic
Pros: The seat is uncomfortable
Pros: On times and good service - half-empty plane.
Pros: some what and it could be better
Cons: the help you get from the crew and if they wouldn't make so many gate changes
Pros: Woman at ticket counter was great. Was traveling with 2 kids and she moved our seats closer to the front
Pros: Smooth Flight
Cons: Delayed on both flights
Pros: Flying internationally is civilized even in coach. There is more legroom, the food and drink carts come by several times, and there are blankets and pillows for everyone. I think all cross country non stop domestic US flights should have the same coach amenities as trans Atlantic flights.
Cons: The seats aren’t the comfiest on the 757. They are kind of stiff. But there is more legroom on international flights.
Cons: Crew was rude, and we had to wait an hour to leave, I understand things happen, but then we were rerouted mid flight so it was inconvenient and again I get it, things happen. But the landing was incredibly rough and the pilot didn’t apologize. That would have made things better, but he said nothing about being sorry we were delayed and nothing about the rough landing.
Pros: The crew was great, the entertainment options were plentiful (if you bring your own earphones) and the flight was smooth.
Cons: I'm only 5'7" and normal build, and the seats were uncomfortably narrow with no room to partially straighten even my short legs. The life vest box under each seat also doesn't leave much room for the personal item you're supposed to stow under there.
Pros: Ease of travel. Seamless boarding process.
Pros: The crew was wonderful of the flight was fine!
Cons: Arriving 2 hours before my flight I had a hard time getting through security because of my handicap situation, I arrived at the gate as the plane was leaving the gate, whie American Airlines where able to get me on the next flight, the flight was 3 hours after my original flight! JW
Pros: Very nice crew. The flight attendants were very patient and efficient. Flight was very smooth and surprisingly not overcrowded. For the first time, in a long time, when getting off of the plane it was very organized and not everyone rushing and pushing to get off. Everyone followed suit and did row by row, and no one pushing or shoving which is always nice.
Cons: The only this I would suggest is that on a longer flight you should offer better deals on food/snacks.
Pros: Flights to Reno tend to be empty if you fly in the right time of the week. I booked the cheapest ticket and ended up getting an exit row all to myself.
Cons: There is no seatback TV which is a major drawback. They do have a service that you can stream through your personal device but my power outlet didn’t work so my laptop died mid movie.
Pros: Flight was fast and comfortable.
Pros: I got there in one piece. Even made my connection (barely)
Cons: TSA were abusing power and pulling ppl out of line like crazy. Tried to take Christmas toys from someone (and they weren’t in violation of anything. ) flight was delayed and took so long it would have been faster to drive to Charlotte. Whole airport was the most inefficient thing I have ever seen.
Cons: I purchased a flight two weeks ago to depart at 11am from lax I checked in at 10:30 where they told me It was too late for me to check in they gave me another flight departing at 4pm (free of charge) weird right? Very disappointed since I always fly and check in 30 minutes before. I didn’t have any luggage with me either I do not think it’s fair and I will not be flying American Airlines/Alaskan airlines ever again.
Pros: Not a single part has a positive remark
Cons: Well - this partner of westjet was terrible. The amount of re direction to get to the final terminal was absurd .. that's just my venting My real problem is that then "crew" or team that represent s the American Airlines / compass part was just useless. A hand full of people - myself included didn't get a chance to board the plane as they didn't make any announcements. Beyond disappointing. When you check in they take your cell phone "in case " well no call no txt no nothing. It was a joke the level of service No apologies or anything just a group of any tired patrons getting the worst customer experience. I'll never EVER book a flight that has anything to do with American Airlines or its partners
Pros: I enjoyed the customer service, the nice landing and the pilots recognition that too many announcements on night time flights is unwanted.
Cons: I was on the plane for 50 minutes before we departed. I was in group 6. The people before my group waited even longer. I also don't like Americans stand alone terminal at LAX; there's no vendors or services there.
Pros: Arrived on time !
Cons: We arrived on time but this is the 9th Flight in A row into PHILADELPHIA that we can’t Find an open Gate. Then we just sit and wait 15 to 30 minutes! No other airport that we travel To has this problem!
Pros: Flight attendants were courteous and hardworking. Made sure all passengers were taken care of.
Pros: The crew was phenomenal!
Cons: The PA system was not working in the terminal, so crew member had to yell for passengers to hear her while calling out the groups to board.
Pros: Was able to get my flight transferred!
Cons: I liked Everything!
Pros: Everything was excellent
Pros: Nice crew
Pros: The flight attendants were great.
Cons: The flight was over an hour delayed. that meant I arrived home at 1am. That is a very rough morning.
Cons: Fight was operated by American. Alaska forced to wait in line and see assistance, then inform that because the flight is operated by American, they won't be able to check me in. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat.
Pros: Fast boarding. Arrived earlier. Nice plane, very clean.
Pros: Overall, one of the most enjoyable International flight experiences I have ever had.
Pros: Again, it seemed to me there was more legroom in first class than on similar Delta flights - meaning it was more comfortable. Also, there was a delay of a couple of hours leaving Dallas due to a problem with the plane's radio, and the American employees handled it very well, keeping the passengers informed and smoothly transferring everyone to a substitute plane.
Pros: Crew great but entertainment needs an upgrade.
Pros: Quick flight. but my row and some others behind us did not get beverage service. Never had that happen before.
Pros: They were on time
Cons: The A321 had the most cramped seating I've ever experienced. The video in the seat back didn't work properly going or coming back. Boarding was slow. I don't know why they don't load the rear seats first so you don't have to wait for everyone ahead to secure their carry-on luggage. If they didn't charge so much for checking a bag there wouldn't be so much carry-on baggage
Cons: Had a passenger behind us that was coughing the whole flight with what we think was a cold and now we are both sick with colds.
Pros: Same as above.
Cons: Horrible, inflight experience, customer service
Pros: Not VERY overcrowded
Pros: Love PTO, always efficient.
Pros: Liked the crew, the pillows/blankets and entertainment.
Cons: Didn't like that they didn't have toothbushes in the bathroom like Quantas has. Food was eh. Wish there were more snacks avail throughout besides chips. Got really hungry.
Pros: The food was excellent
Cons: Did not get to sit with family
Cons: Plane not cleaned at all. Seats and tray tables dirty had crumbs all over
Cons: Flight personnel seem like they dont enjoy their job.
Cons: The delays, gate changes in a massive airport, and general lack of information made this trip excruciating.
Pros: I missed the flight because we were delayed out of NC. And I had to get a hotel since there were no more flights that night. I’m still stuck in Denver.
Cons: Better accommodations by United.
Cons: Free WiFi kn the plane was hardly working even over US mainland, before it list connection with outside internet over ocean. But it is something I do not care much about.
Pros: Crew was super friendly, considerate & helpful, esp the woman working my area. Options on entertainment were great & worked well
Cons: Dinner was horrible. Crowded
Pros: Felt like the pilot was experienced and skilled because It was very smooth in departing and landing.
Cons: There was a lady sitting on my assigned seat. She said flight attendance told her that is ok to do. I wouldn't mind if she or staff asked me with legitimate reasons. It happened at mt last trip; ending up sitting next to big person instead of sitting with my 12 year old daughter.
Cons: Delayed just like my first leg. Will never fly United again.
Cons: Our flight was “delayed” 12 hours! Notably not cancelled and rebooked because then they would have to compensate us, I believe
Cons: Too cramped and no flight entertainment
Pros: Never made connection since first flight was deplaned
Cons: Never made it
Cons: bad web site lost luggage stolen items from luggage no option to wrap my luggage in plastic unfriendly staff late flight and take off
Pros: Flight was on time and I received my checked baggage.
Cons: Seat was uncomfortable due to insufficient foot space. All (about 6) overhead bins in the rear of the aircraft were full because crew stored “essential equipment” in them. Crew was not professional. After takeoff they never came around to see if anyone needed anything and not even a glass of water was offered for the entire flight. They didn’t even ensure that everyone wore seatbelts on landing - woman next to me was stretched out hugging her companion while landing wilth unbuckled seatbelt. Entertainment screen did not wirk properly.
Pros: The person at the United customer service desk was able to book me on the next available flight to Reno (after missing my original flight mentioned above) quickly and efficiently. Boarding was fast.
Cons: I was late to my original flight and the United personal that I talked to at the gate was very rude. I asked if the plane was still boarding and all she said was go to customer service. I know I gave her a questioning look because this did not answer my original question. She repeated her statement again this time pointing. I would have preferred that she tell me that the flight had finished boarding but customer service could help me get on another flight. I feel that would have been more professional. My new flight was also an hour late
Cons: 2 Hours late
Pros: Good cabin & flight crew; kept us informed.
Cons: Ran late. Seats are time (I'm average weight & height). Windows couldn't have been lower or we'd have been looking at the gear.
Pros: Assigned seat - delayed because of hot breaks but stayed on tarmac to cool while cooled only about 10 min.
Cons: Airline stewardess should have suggested mom with young child in lap could move to empty row of seats.
Cons: Didn't take the plane!
Cons: United service was uniformly poor. When we checked in at Dulles Airport, we had to go to two different counters to send our luggage. The United check-in / baggage attendant determined that two of my bags were 'oversized.' I have travelled dozens of times with these same bags, including on this trip, and none of the airport determined the bags to be oversized. The United seats, which we had purchased as "Premium Economy" from the Lufthansa site were "Economy Plus" and not worth the extra $ 275 per seat. The United plane was not well-maintained and had several obvious defects. If United wants "Star AlliNCE" to mean something, they need to do as well as Lufthansa.
Pros: That we made it with no major issues.
Cons: Delays to land, taxi, and no TV, no outlet in the plane. Very old plane.
Pros: Got in early, but unfortunately no gate to unload passengers for almost 20 mins
Cons: Stewardess told me I had to use overhead bin for my personal item. Personal item met requirements with ease. Did not listen to this woman's command.
Pros: The in-flight crew were very nice and no one got beat up. our flight was delayed but we got put on a later flight without issue.
Cons: No entertainment and no free wifi and the seats hurt my beck and back. The girl who checked us in was abrasive to us and everyone in front of us in line, but maybe she wasn't trying to be, that was just her personality. Our flight got delayed which meant we missed out on seeing an old friend I hadn't seen in years, but at least we got there.
Cons: The employees were verbally rude, borderline abusive. The airline was completely disorganized, changing our gate 3 times. Literally the worst airline experience I have had in years.
Pros: Lots of entertainment options and friendly crew.
Cons: It was just a very long trip, so the seats became uncomfortable after a while.
Pros: I like everything
Pros: It was simple, straight forward, and easy. Encountered no problems, and the crew was great.
Pros: Attendant was nice.
Cons: Unexpected, unannounced delay put us into Chicago 30 minutes late. I was scheduled to have a 45 minute layover, now down to 15. I was given no support getting to my next gate, that plane was not held despite the fact that I ran across the terminal to catch it.
Pros: Everything was good!
Cons: I didn't like how the flight attendance wasn't so friendly, I felt as if I was a bother to them.
Cons: Flight was canceled
Pros: No flight
Pros: My mom is disabled and was flying alone. United was amazing. As soon as I pulled near the curb someone was there with a wheelchair. I parked the car and he waited for me. He already checked her in dropped her bag off and was waiting for me. He said that he was going to take my mom through security and bring her all the way to the gate. I was so relieved because I was not able to travel with her but felt she was in good hands.
Pros: The crew was friendly and helpful. The flight arrived much earlier than scheduled.
Pros: Crew was great
Cons: Aircraft interior is dated.
Pros: The wheel chair was not available at OHare. It took 39 minutes to get a wheel chair on outbound flight. Upon arrival at O'Hare we had to wait 20 minutes as there were only few wheel chairs -
Cons: Lack of Wheel chair as explained above
Pros: The flight was very smooth and on time
Pros: Online confirmation
Cons: My seat assignments were changed and we were at the end of the plane next to the bathroom. I know I didn't put those. I don't like the fact that you have to pay for baggage and there is no food provided other than a drink and some really poor substitute even for peanuts. Southwest at least allows you to have a free baggage. It's not the fault of the pilot but it also is very bumpy. The flight crew was fine and it's just the uncomfortable aspects of having my seat assignment changed and the extra charges for anything that makes it comfortable.
Pros: Friendly flight attendants Help luggage personel
Pros: Crew member was excellent.
Cons: As the ground staff had trouble loading the luggage in to the booty...plane was stranded on the runway without AC... caused unnecessary delay. We missed the connection.
Pros: every thing
Cons: Purchased tickets 4 months before this flight for a departure time of 6:05pm. Tried to check in and check baggage at 9:30am but was turned away saying I could only check in 3 hrs prior to my flight. Came back at 3:00pm to check-in and they could not find my information. An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight from PHX to RNO the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation.
Pros: Smooth. No problems. Happy we didn't have to get suitcases through customs because you could handle in Canada. Happy gate was near where we got off.
Pros: Nice people working.
Cons: The weather! And air traffic control!!
Cons: The flight was overbooked and asked for several volunteers to take later flights for travel credit. Ended up forcing those unlucky souls in the last boarding group off flight with no offer of credit or accommodation. Waited in customer service line for hours, literally longer than it would have taken to take off and arrive at my scheduled destination. United representatives could not find a flight that guaranteed a seat (not on a long standby list) that was even in the same 12 hour period. I spoke with a United supervisor who showed zero empathy or concern with the situation. In the end I arranged for other travel accommodations to drive to my family reunion destination. No refund was issued or offered. I was informed I would have to call United customer service after the date of my previously scheduled return flight to explain my situation. I will personally never fly United again and would recommend the same to anyone. Although for the record, I did receive a single ten dollar airport food voucher for my inconvenience. Inexcusable.
Pros: Because of our incident in LV, This flight was out of Denver. The flight attendants were fantastic! The staff was very helpful, and was able to get seats together.
Cons: They had issues with the wifi, so there was no entertainment.
Pros: not much
Cons: unfriendly crew, worn out seat, bad food, vegetables had the consistency of a shoesole, after main meal service crew completely vanished and no in between service, no business first de-boarding overall don't want to do it again
Pros: Staff and Pilots did a great job. Wheelchair was much apprecciated!!! Everything was on time or ahead of it. Great landing!! Wish you didn't charge for baggage and would like better snacks--oh for the good old days!
Pros: Not much to go wrong so not much to complain about. On time, smooth, pleasant, ideal!
Cons: United had 3 gate changes. Ok sometimes that happens. This was said due to a storm out of colorado
Cons: Spirit airlines have the worst crew, they made a guy put his phone in airplane mode when I doesn’t affect the plane at all
Pros: The short trip.
Cons: The loud passengers
Pros: Horrible had to stay the night in the airport
Cons: Horrible. Maybe if the plane actually showed up. Messed up my entire weekend
Cons: Practice social distance
Cons: The pilot was looking like drunk or something. There was too many troubles while landing and taking off. Vibration speed was getting up and down. Please get him check for safety reasons.
Cons: No social distancing at all on spirit airlines when boarding, people right behind each other.
Pros: They were on time.
Cons: There was a fee or charge for EVERYTHING. The difference in price for the next least expensive flight more thsn made up the difference in feees ( baggage $65, carry on $65, better seat $25 but no guarantee- no free water, sift drink, or cofffe. No snacks. Everything was charge and expensive The Seats were small with no leg room and no recline option. One of the most uncomfortable rides ever. No entertainment option I guess if I was only going a short flight it’d be ok but still never a 1st chioice And remember cheap airlines means kids will be on board
Pros: I was told that I've been checked in but still have to join a terribly slow queue.
Cons: That we were not offered even cold water.
Cons: This company is a scam. You pay a extra fee for everything Printing your boarding pass that will be $10. oh wait you want to take a carry on bag that will be $45. You want to check in a bag that will be $45. If you do decide to check in a bag or a carry on make sure the demensions and weight is correct there will be another fee for any luggage that doesn’t fit their rules. Make sure you get a drink in the airport ahead of time because once again they charge for standard drinks while on the plane, the extra charges just never stop! In all reality it is not worth the savings in plane ticket because of all the additional inflated prices they get you on.
Cons: The worst experience in my life, I showed up a hour early, only 2 kiosks that work to check in. The rude lady directed me out of line to use the kiosk again instead checking me in, so I couldn't miss my flight. You could obviously tell it was my first time. So I missed my FIRST flight for my 30th birthday. Their only rebuttal to my dilemma was "you should have show up 2 hours early". A horrible experience I will never forget. The human that don't display common courtesy for his or her fellow man should be replaced by robots. I would gladly pay double for my next flight than to EVER use Spirit again.
Pros: Staff were actually nice on this flight. I boarded last so can’t complain.
Cons: No entertainment. No power outlets. No reclining seats. No legroom. No frills. Base fare. Pretty crappy as usual.
Pros: Flight started and reached on time.
Cons: Spirit Airlines is a complete joke! We were standing at the ticket counter by 10:15 and the flight was at 11:06 yet refused to print out boarding passes. They even allowed the person directly in front of us to check in but apparently we were the cut off. After asking to speak with a supervisor, the ticket agent disappeared for 15 minutes only to return and tell us that there was no supervisor available. What? So..... no one is supervising the staff or daily operations? That’s a little scary. We asked the ticket agent again to print our boarding passes and at least let us attempt to make the flight but he again refused. The ticket gate we were at was directly next to the security line which had about 5 people in it. We also heard him tell the person in front of us who he allowed to check in that our gate was literally the first gate after security. I can not comprehend why he wouldn’t at least give us the option to try and make the flight which was 100% realistic. Instead, he refused our request for boarding passes a third time. The lack of service I received was absolutely and completely ridiculous. In a state of panic I began looking up other flight options that would get us to our destination on time... there was nothing! While I️ was researching flights, my traveling companion ran to the Southwest Airlines ticket counter and explained the situation. The ticket agent immediately began checking the computer and found a flight that would get us to our destination in time but the flight was leaving in 30 minutes. She stated that she could not promise we would make the flight but was happy to let us try! We got through security quickly and were able to board the 11:15 flight. Our original flight with Spirit departed at 11:06. I want a refund or I will be contacting my bank for a chargeback.
Pros: Absolutely NOTHING
Cons: This airline has check in requirements that no other airlines have and did not send any email or notification what so ever letting passengers know. I also was not informed through Kayak of these rules. They would not let me on the flight because I was waiting in line while 3 of the 4 check in attendants were not even helping people in line! I had to pay a $100 fee to change my flight and they didn't have any options for same day. The flight wasn't even boarding yet and there wasn't a line for security and the gate was very close. If they don't let passengers know of their rules when selling through a 3rd party website THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SELL THROUGH 3rd PARTY WEBSITES! Absolutely disgraceful experience.
Cons: Spirit airlines cancelled my return flight along with nine other flights that morning. Their were hundreds of passengers left stranded and had to fend for themselves to figure out away to get home. The majority had to spend anywhere from $400-$1000 on a one way ticket back on an alternate airline. Definitely my worst experience yet. Customer service was rude and it took five hours standing in line to talk to someone at the airport. I ended up having to fly to a different city and drive to an a half hours in the other direction to get my car that was at the airport I flew out of originally. Never Fly Spirit Airlines no matter how cheap the flight is. You'll end up paying a lot more in the long run when they cancel your flight. This airline will be out of business in less than a year. I guarantee it!
Cons: Never EVER have I flown with an airline that charges you for carry-on luggage. If I would have known this and all the other extra hidden fees, including (extra chargers for checking passengers in..etc) I most definitely would have picked a different airline. To make matters even worse, they never once told me while checking in at their airline counter that they charge for carry on luggage. So.. when I arrived to my boarding gate, they announced that all carry on luggage was an additional fee of $100.00, unless already checked in at the counter for their base rate of $60.00 FOR A CARRY ON.... In order to board my flight, I had to pay $100.00 for one tiny little suitcase. I was beyond aggravated. It felt like this airlines entire intentions were to scam every passenger that boarded. At one point on the flights, as the flight attendants were going through the emergency procedures, a passengers behind me said "You will only give us our oxygen masks, for an additional charge" I will NEVER fly with Spirit Airline again. Every employee that I came across during my travels were incredibly rude, and very unhelpful. Spirit does have cheaper flights, but after all the up-charges you end up paying way more than you will if you just book with another airline.
Cons: The airline emailed at 2 am to notify that the 6 am flight was cancelled. The cancellation hotline was not too helpful - they rebooked me on a Delta flight connecting to two more United flights. Delta flight was delayed so I would have missed my 2 connections. Finally rebooked me on another Southwest flight to New Orleans (final destination) that they should have rebooked me on in the first place. Also discovered upon my second rebooking that the initial rebooking agent did not rebook my return flight, so I would not have had a seat had my first rebooking leg not been delayed. Only offered at $50 Spirit voucher for the inconvenience. Definitely never taking Spirit again.
Pros: I recently traveled with my wife and 3 year old for the first time on Spirit Airlines. I have never flown with them before. We travel a fair amount and have always flown with other airlines but I saw a good deal they offered and I jumped on it. After the check in process was completed online, I headed to the airport. The service I received in the terminal with staff standing at the entrance was unexpectedly pleasant. Without asking, the staff had already guided me in the direction and next step I should take for checking luggage. It was awesome! Once we went through the boarding process and boarded the plane, I was totally shocked! The flight attendants were completely kind and over the top hilarious. They were making funny/silly comments about the flight and flying in general. Although there was no electronic entertainment offered on this flight, they made up for it in their fun personalities. It was the best atmosphere between all of the passengers around me who were all enjoying the outgoing spirit with the crew. It was a flight to remember!
Cons: Late Very uncomfortable
Cons: THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I called Spirit's corporate customer service, and they told me to go to the airport where I would be placed on a new airline and be reimbursed for the fare difference. When I first got to the ticket counter, the woman "helping" me would not even look me in the eye as she told me my only options were to wait 24 hours for the next flight, or take an $80 refund. They absolutely refused to do *ANYTHING* else to assist. Not even a hotel reiumbursement or car rental. (Keep in mind they also wanted ME to lose the hotel and car I had already pre-paid for in my destination city.) Long story short - I talked to 6 people over the course of two hours trying to sort out THEIR problem (they never explained *why* the flight was cancelled) and got conflicting information from everyone I spoke to. Nobody ever tried to anything except get me out of there and pay as little as possible. Spirit Air is definitely the worst airline I've ever dealt with, and definitely one of the top 10 worst companies anywhere I've ever dealt with. Never again!
Pros: I liked absolutely nothing about this airline to the point where I didn't even fly with them the day of my flight
Cons: They were not willing to work with me to change my flight date do to a family emergency and couldn't give me credit towards further flights, goes to show how broke this airline is if they really need the money and couldn't refund me like other past and BETTER airlines have done in the past, I will NEVER fly this airline ever again and have told many people to do the same, this was my first and last experience. As a side note I had to DRIVE MYSELF TO LAS VEGAS FROM SAN DIEGO because they were not willing to work with me but I still made it to and from my destination
Cons: First, when I booked I was not given option to pay for baggage or choose seats, meaning I wasn't able to use the cheapest option. I had to spend at least 2 hours on the phone with a Spirit agent to get to pay for my bags before arriving at the airport at all - I wasn't able to do it online. On day of flight: the first leg was delayed. When we got to layover our final flight had been cancelled with no reason given. We were booked on another flight 8 hours later which meant we got in late enough that I had to miss another day of work. The Spirit agent at the gate in Las Vegas was also extremely rude. I also didn't get any phone or email updates.
Cons: My flight was delayed 4 hours. The connecting plane then left without several passengers that were headed to Seattle. We were not notified that the flight was leaving without us. The employees were extremely rude and showed no remorse that we missed our flight because of their delay. We were given no options, just told we would have to deal with it. They refused to refund our flight or help with finding us a different flight home. We slept on the floor of the airport until the next day and took a different airline home. I will never fly this airline again. Their service is dispicable.
Pros: Uncomfortable seats, zero leg room, a website that has yet to function properly without me having to call customer service several times per flight. Not to mention the "Low fares" Spirit offers you don't actually account for the money you shovel out for EVERY SINGLE EXTRA you can think of. I ended up spending 65$ on my last flight just to bring a carry on and choose a seat. Tie that all together with an angry, impatient, and unprofessional staff, and you result in a customer who will never be flying spirit airlines again.
Cons: Spirit Airlines is laughably inconvenient, and derisively unconventional. Stewards are made to be salespeople, and the simplest amenities (such as a seat-back tray or glass of water) are pointedly unavailable. I spent a hellish 10 hours flying Spirit Airlines; having done so, I would never recommend a friend (nor, even, an enemy) go through the same discomfort, ridicule, and expense. The captain was flippant regarding the discomfort of the flight. Stewardesses spoke loudly to one another in the back of the plane, non-stop, for two hours. Seats are ridiculously close to one another, do not recline, and offer trays without proper space to be useful. Spirit makes a point of reminding its customers, every step of the way, how limited their flight experience will be. When I purchased flight tickets through Kayak, I did not realize that Spirit would strip me, the paying customer, of every possible amenity, all for the farce of a"bargain" flight. Nowhere was I informed of needing to pay 55$ per carry-on bag at the airport, nor of the further embarrassment of having to pay $15 to simply occupy a seat on the plane. Have I not purchased a ticket? Have I not given my money? Why should I be denied the right to sit on the actual plane? At least three other customers in line in front of me were dissatisfied with their check-in experience. None were comforted by Spirit staff, whose job, clearly, is merely to demand money and offer further ways in which an already paying customer can be divested of the contents of their wallet. I pity all who ride Spirit, work for Spirit, or consider becoming business partners with this company. Clearly, being "the youngest fleet of any major U.S. airline," has its drawbacks.
Pros: Crew was nice, friendly, and funny. 3 stars is because there is no actual service unless you flag them down to pay for things.
Cons: WARNING: MUST PAY FOR CARRY ON BEFORE GATE. Spirit wants $45 for a carry on bag, and apparently $100 if you don't realize it before you get to the gate. I don't even know how much for checking one. So unless all you have is a handbag, add $90 per bag to the cheap looking price. Seat reservations are janky and can also cost you money. There's no app to check in, reserve seats, or view your flight, and their website has a terrible mobile user interface. The crew doesn't even ask if you want something, they just walk up and down with trash bags. That said, they were polite, professional and friendly. I guess you flag them down if you want to spend a bunch of money on Chex Mix and a soda or expensive beer. You have to pay to even get water or peanuts. There is no entertainment. The seats do not recline. If you have never flown Spirit, you're probably thinking "all that is too ridiculous to be true," which is what I thought when my Uber driver started warning me. Nothing above is exaggerated, just the facts. Never again.
Cons: $100 extra for luggage
Pros: It was simple and convenient and got me where I was trying to go cheaply. It was fairly clean n what not and I liked how kind of hip it felt with their process and design. It really does feel like a modern airline sort of like an uber or something but in order to make it cheap they do cut down on pretty much anything that makes the experience kind of luxurious. The chairs were quite thin for example and no in flight food was complimentary. I was able to take my large backpack on the flight free as a personal item so that was great too. They have a metal frame to check the size of your item. If it fits in there it can be a personal item. My backpack was able to squeeze but typical carry on's may not. It also really felt like an airline for the youth which goes along with that kind of young and hip feel. Good stuff.
Cons: The thin somewhat stiff chairs were difficult to sleep in.
Pros: The cost is excellent & staff was very friendly.
Cons: Lack of communication. When printing out boarding pass, it flashed the flight was delayed @ 90 min, which I thought was weird. Just thought I'd check in later. When I called TSA in Kansas City I was told the same. So when I arrived at the airport they were announcing thaty flight was boarding, I went to baggage counter and was told I had to take my case on the plane, TSA security told me to take it to baggage counter. I told TSA I'd already been there, the 2 of them start arguing back and forth about my bag, if they would have taken my bag when I 1st went to turn it in, it would have been on the plane with me. However because they'd called final boarding, all my stuff got left in Kansas City. I've already called the airline to see if my bag made it to Vegas or not but haven't found out yet. As they have nt called me back. Oh the man in front of me was on my same flight & how nag made it on the plane. Extremely annoying for this to happen when it could've ALL been avoided as there was no one else behind me.
Cons: Spirit airlines is VERY misleading. Yes it was the cheapest flight as stated but then there were the hidden costs. baggage for one luggage or carry on? Ridiculous when other airlines don't charge for the first one. A little overweight? A huge hefty fine. Pay for your seat?! There were no free seats at all!!! No complimentary snack or drink??? Charge for water!!! Ridiculous! The seats were like being packed in a sardine can and no recline which I had a terrible headache when the we finally landed! By the time I had to pay for the "extras" I could have flown first class on another airline! Never again will I will flight with Spirit and will highly recommend anyone else not to also!!!
Pros: If I want to fly somewhere with just my laptop and no carry on and no luggage, this will be the way to go.
Cons: After booking this flight with Spirit (2 flights out and 2 flights back, and I'm not going to rate each one separately) I was ready to log in an pay for baggage because I did not carefully examine all the details when booking. We did not get a free carry-on and the price for paying for luggage was higher than expected. BUT that was just the beginning. In every flight I've been on before, you pay for your bags one, I had to pay for the bags each step of the way. And paying for luggage and carry-ons each step of the way meant paying over $300 for bags. I'm used to paying $30 per person. So my excitement at getting low fares evaporated instantly. I was now paying the going rate for the flight with a lot of extra hassle to boot. I was with my aunt who needed a wheelchair to get around the airport in a wheelchair. Other airlines had them available for us to use, but Spirit would only offer to call a service for us. They did not indicate what the cost of this service would be. They didn't say it was free and they didn't say it was not. I just found an empty wheelchair and used that, after having just paid more than $300 for baggage for three small bags, I wasn't into more surprises. But I had to use American Airlines wheelchairs which they were cool with, because Spirit refused to let me use theirs without the escort (paid?) who actually didn't show up in the few minutes it took me to think it through.
Pros: Never fly this airline, they are horrible! I called several times about my flight because I knew I would be late trying to make the flight and they were rude. Customer Service is horrible. They cheat people out of their money smh. Terrible. I'm currently looking to sue!! Don't fly with them. No matter how cheap it is. Fly with Aleigant or Frontier first. Least they won't just keep your ticket money if you miss a flight they will make amends. SPIRIT is tacky, classless, and just overall a terrible airline. They need to be out of business. Seriously. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Pros: Pilot was very funny and crew was kind
Cons: No food or drinks served Seats did not recline and were not comfortable Charge for carry on was absolutely unreasonable Overall, I will never be flying spirit airlines again. I intended to fly on this airlines as it was truly a discount .. I soon realized I had subjected myself to discomfort for no reason when I discovered I would have to spend another $100 just for my carry ons.. At that point, I may as well have just spent a little more money and flown for any other airlines with decent seats and complementary beverages..
Pros: The price was low to book, but read on, because it wasn't worth it.
Cons: Absolutely terrible in all other respects. After delaying the flight for 20 minutes or so (due to "maintenance issues"), the employee came on and said that the flight was cancelled. Not that Spirit would bring a new plane so we could all still fly out. Not that they would be taking a little longer to fix the issue. No, just that it was cancelled. Then, when the herd of people went to the ticket counter to get new flights or refunds, no one was there for about 30 minutes. When they finally arrived, they were unwilling to compensate for my $30 taxi ride. And they were generally unkind and unhelpful. This is unacceptable; I will not book Spirit again. Thank you for your understanding.
Cons: I was notified at 9AM that I would miss my connecting flight (flight was at 6PM). I called Spirit to fix this ahead of time, they said I needed to speak to someone at the kiosk. The person at the kiosk said I needed to speak to someone at the gate. The lady at the gate said not to worry, we weren't even getting off of this plane. 10 MINUTES BEFORE BOARDING, I'm told that I'm going to miss my connecting flight and that my options were to either sleep over at Vegas or fly out the next day. I decided to fly out the next day, getting to my destination at noon. Got home, looked up the flight that the man at the kiosk booked me, AND IT WAS GETTING IN AT 11PM THE NEXT NIGHT. I called Spirit, infuriated that the rep literally lied to me, and asked to speak with a manager. I was told that a manager would have to call me back (WHAT?). I have yet to receive a phone call. I will never, EVER, EVER, fly Spirit airlines ever again.
Pros: The flight attendants were great! Immediately saw I had a problem with the passenger next to me who would not leave me alone, and checked in on me throughout the flight. One of the attendants even knelt down next to me discretely to let me know that if he was a problem to not hesitate to grab her and she would take care of it. It was great to know they were looking out for their customers.
Cons: I arrived to the airport early to check in, and was told that I was too early to check by bag for my flight because they all took lunch soon and no one would be available to watch my bag. It just didn't make sense to me. I had to wait for three hours! Once checked in, we were notified that our flight was delayed, twice, causing what should have been a quick day of travel into a very long and exhausting experience. I know some of these things can't be helped, but with better customer service, it would have at least made the day less miserable. Safe to say I would not fly spirit ever again. It doesn't save you any money, because once you pay for your seat, you bag, and any other additional costs you're spending more money than if you had booked with an established airline.
Cons: I usually never post anything negative for a review, so here is my first one. I had an awful flying experience with spirit I will never fly with them again. I will keep it short and simple. They charge you for everything that your flight ends up becoming super expensive and its obscured until you get hit with the fee. First off, bag check in is ridiculously expensive. Cost me just about 100 dollars to check a tiny bag. The seats on the airline do not recline and there was absolutely zero leg room. Im not that tall (6'0), so there is no reason I should have to sit sideways on the seat because my knees are jammed into the seat in front of me. My entire neck and back became stiff when I got off the aircraft because of this. Water cost me 5 dollars. Do I need to say more? Water should be free. I left my long sleeve shirt in my bag that was already checked, so I asked a flight attendant if they had a tiny blanket ( It was so cold my jaw was shivering ) And she literally told me you should have brought one, we are not responsible for lending flyers blankets because its too cold.. Could not believe the awful experience I had with this airline. Never again. 1 star is generous.
Pros: I disliked everything except how helpful the staff was when I almost puked because of the extreme discomfort of the seats.
Cons: Being in that seat for 3.5 hours was the worst thing I have ever experienced on an airplane. I think I pinched the Vagus nerve in my abdomen and almost passed out on the airplane. I somehow was able to tell my wife that I needed help, she asked for water, they told me it would be $3 and I told them that I needed to go to the bathroom fast because I was very ill. Made it to the flight attendant's seat by the bathroom and sat there for a minute, then was able to open the bathroom door. Sat on the floor of the bathroom for about 5 minutes and was 100% better. Didn't even need to vomit because my circulation seemed to normalize after getting out of that horrible seat. Imagine - sitting on the floor in the tiny bathroom was more comfortable and actually cured me. They get one star out of 10 from my because they gave me free water. Otherwise it would be zero.
Cons: this might have been my mistake I did not arrive 45 minutes prior to departure I was 6 minutes past the 45-minute line and they would not let me board the plane..I asked 4 times to talk to a manager all I kept hearing where she was at lunch and she would be down in a bit I waited for almost 30 minutes before I decided just go catch another plane on Southwest to Vegas kayak might want to inform all of their customers dealing with spirit Airlines that the 45-minute cutoff point is crucial...one of the problems is and I received a email from you the day before that it was moved to a different terminal so at the San Diego Airport even the people that work there didn't know where the Spirit Airlines was and there was 5 people behind me who had the same issue and this Airline will not work with us then they tell me it's too late the plan is already full...I did fly back from Vegas on spirit but what I thought was kind of bizarre with people still boarding the plane five minutes prior to takeoff...next time I go to Vegas I might just pay the extra money and Fly Southwest ...and besides that that plane coming back from Vegas did not sell mechanically strong it made all kinds of noises when we landed and everybody was even looking around like something was going to fall off the plane when we landed in San Diego
Cons: I Left my house about 3 hours early before my flight for seatac airport to beat the long lines with the tsa inspections. When I finally got there I spent about a half hour looking for the check in desk, only to find out that it was one of those rollaway check in counters. To make matters worse I had to pay 55 dollars for my carry on. What kind of bs is that. I thought I would at leased get that for free. Just expecting the standard I guess. Serves me right for not doing my research before flying. With Spirit air you pay for everything including for that not so complementary water that you might need after chocking on their corny jokes. You might wanna take some neck/back pain meds with you also. Those seats are uncomfortable and don't lounge back. On the way back I was getting emails of constant gate changes and the flight was delayed for an hour. Better keep checking your email. I guess I can suck it up if I was taking a short flight somewhere and I didn't need any luggage. Other than that I'm flying on a different airlines in the future. Good luck.
Cons: TICKETS ARE CHEAP FOR A REASON.. FLIGHT GOT DELAYED A HOUR BACK. AS SOON AS WE GET TO VEGAS OUR PILOT TELLS US THAT ITS NOT SAFE TO LAND AND HES GOING TO WAIT TIL ITS SAFE WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE BUT HE DECIDED TO FLY AROUND IN CIRCLES FOR 30 MINUTES. AFTER THAT HE SAID IT STILL WASNT SAFE AND WE LANDED IN LA INSTEAD OF LAS VEGAS. 4 HRS LATE ON ARRIVAL TO LAS VEGAS, AND ON TOP OF ALL THE FUCKERY, U DONT GET ANY COMPLIMENTARY SNACKS OR WATER. AND IF U DONT PAY FOR YOUR BAGS ONLINE THEY'LL HIT U OVER THE HEAD WITH A 60-100 TAB JUS FOR ONE BAG.
Pros: There's a baggage fee that should've been mentioned by KAYAK!! When I first check online it was $25 then I check again it was $40 then when I tried to pay it in person it became $50. The agent that help people at the counter was very rude, they don't have no people skill whatsoever. They moved the gate which is fine..... But the previous flight just got off and they don't even bother to clean the plane because they were running late. Granted the stewardesses are polite and the pilot is really good..... It was a smooth ride and landing...... But it was supposed to be a 5 hour flight...... I was supposed to be in Vegas by 9:45pm..... But now is 1:45am and I'm still in the plane waiting for the gate to be open...... 4 hours delay........ !!! It just turn to be a 9 hours flight!! Almost double the time!!! Ridiculous!!!!
Cons: Hidden fees!! Poor customer service!!! Bad experience!!!
Cons: they nickel and dime you for literally EVERYTHING. you think you are saving money purchasing a cheap ticket but once you add in your suitcase and God for bid a soda or coffe while on the plane you're at double the cost of the original ticket price. I know they warn you of the small amount of space but my knees were jammed to the chair in front of me, I'm 5'8, so not like I am abnormally tall. it was just a bad enough experience all around that I would advise no one to take the airlines, especially for a long routed trip!
Pros: The Crew and the seat trays that perfectly fit an iPad for watching movies.
Pros: I did not like anything about this airline other than the friendly flight attendants.
Cons: Nothing nice to say. Spirit intentionally tricks people with their business model by offering a cheap base fare then charging for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. I'm literally surprised I wasn't charged for breathing. My list of disappointments and ridiculous costs: -paying for your exact seat location on top of your ticket -Paying egregious amounts for luggage - watch out for hidden costs -paying for WATER -seats are awful and uncomfortable and don't recline whatsoever. Felt like they were made of plastic. -planes (even cross country) only have 2 bathroom stalls total so that spirit can keep their costs low with smaller planes. Then they make several PA announcements that you can't wait for the bathroom by the door. So if you're sitting in the middle of the plane you're screwed because everyone closer gets up first. AWFUL customer experience overall!! I could have paid the same total amount for a respectable, comfortable airplane with a reasonable amount of bathrooms and free water.
Pros: Price was right for those of us who can travel without luggage, if you need luggage than fly Southwest. The is a budget airline and it shows. They do let you bring on a backpack as a free item, just make sure the backpack is smaller than a carry on. I can squeeze a weeks worth of clothes with a backpack. it would be cheaper to fed-ex your suitcase to where you're going. Bring your own food. Seats don't recline and there's no legroom. You can upgrade to more room, but, then why not fly the more expensive airline anyway?
Cons: Everything else, you get what you pay for.
Pros: Nothing about my experience was pleasant. I had to pay for luggage and an assigned seat. So the cost of the ticket was a lie. The flight got delayed 2 hours on my way to Vegas. Other airlines provide free bags to military members. The return flight was delayed 2.5 hours so I purchased a separate ticket from another airline. By the time I got through checking my luggage, and security I received another text message delaying the Spirit flight another hour. I was out 166.00 for flying AA, but it was worth every penny.
