They moved my seat and then they asked me to sit in the back to balance the plane. I know I didn’t pay for seat selection but I don’t want to be a ping pong ball.
I was originally supposed to fly out on 2/18/22 and return on 2/22/22. I drove three hours to get to the Albany airport. While waiting Delta sent a message stating that my flight was delayed an hour so I would not make my connection in Laguardia. I waited 35 minutes to talk to a Delta agent in the Albany airport. She said there were no other flights until Sunday 2/20/22. I rebooked my flight for the following Thursday 2/24/22, but she could not book my returning flight on Sunday 2/27/22. She gave me a phone number to call. I stayed on the line with the Delta agent for 2 hours to book my returning flight. This was not optimal because I have to work on Monday 2/28/22. On my returning flight, the flight from Atlanta to Albany was delayed three hours. This placed me arriving in Albany at 2:30 am. By the time I found my car and drove three hours back to my house it was 6:00 am 2/28/22. I had to take a half-day off so I could sleep before work. In total, I took a half-day off on 2/1822 to arrive at Albany on time for my flight, drove six hours for nothing, and had to take a half-day on my returning flight.
Flight was smooth. Captain was polite and reassure our safe flight. Made it home 15 min early too!
Pilot was a madman. The landing was the worst I've ever experienced. He seems to have misjudged the ground and hit the runway HARD. My back hurts and my inside organs are sore from the impact. Then as we were taxing to the gate he repeatedly slammed on the breaks so we jerked forward each time with enough force to tug on the seat belt. All the passengers were asking "what happened? What went wrong?" Pilot had an Australian or New Zealand accent.

Having either a codeshare flight or a passenger with a new passport would probably have been enough to break the online check-in system, and we had both. Frustrating not to have a seat assignment until boarding had already begin (would have gone SWA if we wanted that mess)."

Pros: "Lots of seat space even in economy, I felt very comfortable and not cramped on my flight. Food was decent and flight attendants were very attentive. My flight was kind of an outlier experience as someone on my flight fell very ill and needed immediate medical attention. The KLM employees on board did a very good job of taking care of the situation and making sure everyone else on board still had a calm flight experience."
Cons: "My connecting flight was scheduled too close to my landing time."
Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

I had to move seats twice the first time because the video screen was freezing up and the second time because it stopped working the third seat was good though. The airplane food was typically horrid."
Pros: "Didn't nickel and dime us about snacks or entertainment. Warned us about turbulence, but it wasn't too bad, thanks to the pilot for doing his best to keep us on an even keel. Did not feel,squished in the "comfort" or Premium Economy seats. In the lowered expectations world of modern air travel, this was relatively OK, which means I recommend it and would fly with them again."

It was very difficult for the person next to the window to get out to the aisle, even when the person in the aisle seat was not sitting there. The biz class cabin was shared with economy comfort. The crew gave no explanation for the switch in aircraft, and no apology either."

This was by far the worst experience flying I have ever had
This was first flight of the day and it was delayed they indicated because they did not have the equipment to start the engines. How does that happen. This caused a 50 minute delay. Also no information was provided by the ground team before boarding which went into instant accelerated mode as groups 1-6 almost at the same time. It was chaotic.

When we made it to the airport again after limited sleep, that flight also got cancelled. We bought a ticket with LATAM which was a breeze. Throughout the following week, we tried calling them numerous times to have them tell us we had to loose yet more time by having to go to their Cusco office... but they couldn't resolve the issue either. We had to escalate this over the phone from their office so they would issue us a flight back to Lima at no charge to us. Now, I can only hope that they will honor this ticket but I'm not expecting much."
