First time flying on Qatar and must say that the crew was excellent. One of the best crews I have ever flown in the last 22 years of New York - India sector. Special mention for HAIFA my hostess for flight QR702 on April 12th. She was the best hostess I have ever had!

The food wasn’t bad but since I flew Etihad in July 2017 from New York to Abu Dhabi to Mumbai and back my memories were fresh and Egihad’s food was definitely a notch higher.

The ease of connection from New York to Nagpur. It was a breeze.

My personal headphones (Beats) couldn’t be used in the headphone socket which was a bummer. Also, the only male guy in the crew was trying to solve some meal issues and was trying to tell the hostess how not to tell the passenger!! All of it could be easily conveyed discreetly but he seemed to be least bothered!

Excellent food, entertainment options, staff was great with the exception of one. Plane entertainment technology varies from route to route.

Dubai airport is highly disappointing. The bathroom situation is atrocious! I am not exaggerating when I say I waited in line of 25 and 35 women two different times! The men’s situation isn’t ideal but is no where near the problem that is the women’s restrooms. The boarding process is mildly confusing - there is no public drinking fountains but if you buy water you are not allowed to take it to your gate. This info isn’t posted anywhere and makes no sense bc you purchased the water after you were checked through security. Also this rule truly only applies to women. A stewardess showed preferential treatment to someone who looked more native than us and then didn’t apologize. I understood the customer was upset so the flight attendant was trying to pacify the lady/couple but at least apologize for being rude. Dubai airport very much favors men and I would never travel without my husband. I would fly Emirates again but it won’t be my top choice and I won’t be going back to the Dubai airport anytime soon.

The flight attendants.

There was a medical emergency on board, so bathrooms did not get the necessary attention. Had to ask for toilet paper for two different bathrooms. Transferring to this flight as a NIGHTMARE. The boarding gate was a long way from the arrival gate. Went through an endless maze. Went through two security check points. At both check points I was sent for pat down. At the first there were five other women who were waiting for pat down. All white women. Discrimination???? At the second security, I had not even passed through the detector and the officer was waving me to get a pat down. At that point I started laughing. Next automated preclearance for immigration, then had to wait in line to talk to immigration officer. It is a miracle that I made it to the flight on time. Passport and boarding pass checked minimum of 6 times in this process. On arrival in Los Angeles, there was a bus ride to the terminal for luggage pick up. My husband was at the terminal I normally come to, I had no way to contact him (Indian sim), no change for pay phone. A fellow passenger was merciful and let me use her phone send husband messages and eventually we met up. I would not use Eithad for India to USA for this reason only. The security and immigration preclearance sucks.

I contacted Turkish Airlines 4x times before my flight to learn how to deal with excess medical baggage, mobility assistance, and meal assistance. The Customer Call Center claimed to have made all of my necessary reservation updates for all of my special meal, medical, and mobility assistance needs. They did not! When I arrived at Check-In, there were no notes about any of my requests, nor services prepared to facilitate them. I spent over 30-45 minutes escalating the situation to the Shift Manager who had to contact the central call center and her own manager, just to find out what to do about medical baggage, what's permitted, etc. I was embarrassed for their employees, who not only didn't know their own company policy on the matter, nor were they aware of the industry standard. After much arguing, yelling and threats, the Check-In desk agents finally allowed my excess medical baggage and equipment without extra charge. I still received no mobility assistance to begin my travel after Check-In to my departure gate, nor were they prepared to offer this to me in Istanbul. Again, after a long wait, much yelling, screaming, and arguing, I was finally provided mobility assistance just in time for my flight. I almost missed my flight due to Turkish Airlines not putting my request in the system, nor caring enough about the traveler to do so at Check-In. When I arrived in Belgrade, 3x pieces of my luggage were destroyed and unusable again, medical equipment was damaged, and I filed a claim with Turkish Airlines. They tried every way possible not to pay, but finally offered a meager claim, nothing close to what it cost for the damage caused or to repair or replacement the destroyed luggage or medical equipment. Turkish Airlines is the Grey Hound of travel, sure they might be large, offer many itineraries and frequent travel, but their quality, customer service and professionalism leave them amongst the bottom feeders, still 3rd world in mentality, form and function. No honor, no integrity, no class. No reason to ever fly with Turkish again, and I'm happy to tell everyone I know not to fly with them!

I didn't like the long delay to stay in the airport on hard chairs before leaving Cape Town. The delay affected all the other connections with long periods of stay in the airports. The whole flight was rough, being shaken all the time.

I contacted Turkish Airlines 4x times before my flight to learn how to deal with excess medical baggage, mobility assistance, and meal assistance. The Customer Call Center claimed to have made all of my necessary reservation updates for all of my special meal, medical, and mobility assistance needs. They did not! When I arrived at Check-In, there were no notes about any of my requests, nor services prepared to facilitate them. I spent over 30-45 minutes escalating the situation to the Shift Manager who had to contact the central call center and her own manager, just to find out what to do about medical baggage, what's permitted, etc. I was embarrassed for their employees, who not only didn't know their own company policy on the matter, nor were they aware of the industry standard. After much arguing, yelling and threats, the Check-In desk agents finally allowed my excess medical baggage and equipment without extra charge. I still received no mobility assistance to begin my travel after Check-In to my departure gate, nor were they prepared to offer this to me in Istanbul. Again, after a long wait, much yelling, screaming, and arguing, I was finally provided mobility assistance just in time for my flight. I almost missed my flight due to Turkish Airlines not putting my request in the system, nor caring enough about the traveler to do so at Check-In. When I arrived in Belgrade, 3x pieces of my luggage were destroyed and unusable again, medical equipment was damaged, and I filed a claim with Turkish Airlines. They tried every way possible not to pay, but finally offered a meager claim, nothing close to what it cost for the damage caused or to repair or replacement the destroyed luggage or medical equipment. Turkish Airlines is the Grey Hound of travel, sure they might be large, offer many itineraries and frequent travel, but their quality, customer service and professionalism leave them amongst the bottom feeders, still 3rd world in mentality, form and function. No honor, no integrity, no class. No reason to ever fly with Turkish again, and I'm happy to tell everyone I know not to fly with them!

Excellent food, entertainment options, staff was great with the exception of one. Plane entertainment technology varies from route to route.

Dubai airport is highly disappointing. The bathroom situation is atrocious! I am not exaggerating when I say I waited in line of 25 and 35 women two different times! The men’s situation isn’t ideal but is no where near the problem that is the women’s restrooms. The boarding process is mildly confusing - there is no public drinking fountains but if you buy water you are not allowed to take it to your gate. This info isn’t posted anywhere and makes no sense bc you purchased the water after you were checked through security. Also this rule truly only applies to women. A stewardess showed preferential treatment to someone who looked more native than us and then didn’t apologize. I understood the customer was upset so the flight attendant was trying to pacify the lady/couple but at least apologize for being rude. Dubai airport very much favors men and I would never travel without my husband. I would fly Emirates again but it won’t be my top choice and I won’t be going back to the Dubai airport anytime soon.

Comfortable seats, good entertainment and nice crew. The flight was good so I could sleep from time to time.

The flight was supposed to have one stop in Dubai. But the return route was changed so we had 2 stops, one in Dubai and another one in New York with long hours until the next connection. I arrived in Seattle a day later which made me lose a working day.
