Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Nothing. The airline changed the departure time for the first leg of my flight so I could not check my connection and had to cancel my flight and rebook with another airline."
Cons: "Keep scheduled flight times."
Cons: "This flight was cancelled"
Pros: "Clean and friendly crew."
Cons: "No food or drink and a single checked bag was extra money."
Cons: "The airplane was super uncomfortable and it was a long flight. I’ve flown with Iberia to Europe in the past and this was my worst experience in terms of comfort."
Cons: "More space and reclining seats please!"
Pros: "Staff was very friendly"
Cons: "We wanted to eat and there was no sandwiches left."
Pros: "Food on board was really good in general and some of the crew members where so polite and helpful but the rest of them nop."
Cons: "The way the crew was serving the meals and offering everything was disappointing, in few word no good. Coffee, coffees anyone? Coffee, coffee! Please! That’s not a way for serving"
Pros: "Speed of boarding and disembarking. Comfortable seats."
Cons: "Slight delay"
Pros: "Arriving at my destination, safe, sound and on-time."
Cons: "The crew could have been a wee bit more friendly/looked like they didn't hate their job. The onboarding process was just short of disastrous."
Pros: "The food was nice."
Cons: "There was no water in business class toilets. The staff are not polite."
Pros: "Boarding and deplaning was done in a fast and orderly fashion. Crew members were polite and services were done in a coordinated manner. The food quality and quantity was good. The entertainment system and availability of options was very good. Seats were spacious and the blanket provided was very nice."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable, pleasant staff, good ent. good wifi and none of that loud chit chat through the flight like tha American companies."
Cons: "The only thing I was a bit disappointed was with the meal. I don’t eat red meat and requested it theough the website, but nithing special was arranged and I ended up eating pasta. Pasta is fine and I love it, but people that don’t eat meat need to have vegetables added to their meals, or at least an egg. And for breakfast the only option was a ham and cheese sandwich, so I didn’t eat."
Cons: "We have to spend almost one hour because of delay"
Cons: "JFK-Madrid flight got delayed by 3 hours which would cause me to miss my connection for Madrid-Split (~2 hour layover), I asked the Iberia representatives at JFK about changing the flight and they reassured me that “the connecting flight would hold for us” and “no need to change our flight”. To our surprise the connecting flight already left when we arrived to Madrid. It’s clear that this was a case of “not our problem” from the JFK Iberia ticket agent. Rather than helping us find a viable alternative for our flight (namely a flight that doesn’t arrive more than a full day later) before leaving for Madrid they shipped us to Madrid where there were poor/no options for getting to Split at the original planned time. I’m very upset that I’m going arrive more than a day late to my destination and that I was blatantly lied to by the Iberia agent at JFK, never ever going to book a flight with Iberia again."
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that the flight was delayed over an hour with zero explanation as to why. just sat in the hot plane with no reason or explanation."
Pros: "no stress, the crew was professional"
Cons: "all good"
Pros: "When I got off a previous flight, I had missed my connection. I was greeted with someone who had already booked my next flight. Also, the seat was fairly comfortable for a 2 hour flight."
Cons: "As great as it was that they booked my connecting flight, I wish I could have my luggage. It has been over a week and I believe that it is because I had such a short layover from my first flight to this one."
Cons: "Bad customer service. Food was stale and I threw up"
Pros: "All"
Pros: "Plenty of space for a long flight, left and landed on time. Overall very pleased"
Cons: "Only complaint is that there was not dairy-free friendly food option for either meal. I figured this would happen so I brought my own food and was glad I did"
Cons: "Not enough place on board. Very poor company"
Pros: "Flight was safe, aircraft was clean and luckily with enough room under the seat to store carry on bag"
Cons: "The fact that all the passengers boarding in "group 3" were forced to check in their carry-on bags if they did not fit under the seat; and retrieve those at the baggage claim area (not right after exiting the airplane) In my case I was able to store my carryon under the seat in front of me after pleading to the crew and gate members to let me try because of my connecting flights. There is no complimentary food service, even water is charged."
Pros: "The discomfort of the cramped seating overshadows everything"
Cons: "This was the 3rd time I had to take Iberia coach in Europe in 4 week. As horrible as the first 2 times. The rows are too close to each other. I can not sit straight. My knees hit the seat in front of me. I was not the only one measuring more than 6 feet. Other men equally were obliged to sit sort of diagonally. It a real torture. Horrible. Never again."
Pros: "No complaints everything was good No delays on time flights going and returning back"
Pros: "The crew is excellent"
Cons: "My luggage didn’t make it to Madrid"
Cons: "Had seat assignments, but the assignments were not honored at the airport, even though had paid external for early seat assignment."
Pros: "Premium economy was very comfortable on Iberia. Their advertisements are true. We also got a great fare. Checkin at Madrid was pretty quick and security moved right along."
Cons: "Getting on the plane was an adventure. Note clear where they wanted groups to go. Food was ok; drinks limited in choice."
Pros: "Excellent"
Cons: "Very good"
Pros: "Crew entertainment food."
Cons: "2 hours late. Missed connection in Madrid. Waiting 4 hours for next flight."
Pros: "Smooth boarding Professional and bilingual crew"
Cons: "Cramped quarters"
Pros: "Small, easy airport. Less picky security than some."
Cons: "Older, more worn-out plane."
Pros: "Pilot was great, soft landing, smooth takeoff"
Cons: "Small seats"
Pros: "Was surprised to be upgraded to business class, so it was effectively the most comfortable flight I've ever been on!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Take off was delayed for six hours and Iberia's representative in Madrid told me me missing my train to Valencia is not their problem and Iberia will not reimburse me for the train nor the Iberia flight I had to take to get to Valencia. I've been an Iberia's customer for many years. Horrible customer service and poor airline service. Shame"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Doctor recommended not to travel but no credit given."
Pros: "Iberia has started upgrading their planes and this one was quite comfortable for a long flight with good legroom and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We boarded 20 minutes late with no explanation, then took off another 30 minutes late with no explanation or communication at all. The flight attendants were not friendly or helpful. The food was mediocre. Our entertainment system was not working at all for half the flight, they reset it about four times to get it working. Once it was working, my husband's screen was not responding at all. Flight was smooth and pilots made up some time in the air which was appreciated."
Cons: "1 hour delay upon arrival die to no available gates"
Pros: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."
Cons: "I'm not sure if it's the European dryness, but though helpful, the flight crew did not looked friendly."
Cons: "They let me sleep through the free snacks and woke me when they came through with the pay-for snacks"
Pros: "Commuter flight. Got me where I needed to go."
Cons: "Small plane, no leg room, very little carry-on space. All I had is a small backpack and I almost did have a place to put it."
Cons: "Very limited room to move. Rather impersonal"
Pros: "It was on time. It was efficient."
Cons: "Should offer at least water."
Pros: "I felt rushed when eating. There was not enough time to eat when they were coming to offer more bread and coffee. They were in a hurry to pick up. Food was short"
Pros: "We didn't crash."
Cons: "No priority lane for frequent flyers at MAD, no lounge at IBZ to use if your return is on BA (thought that was the same company?) Rude employees. Flight still not credited to AA 6 months later."
Pros: "My flight was transferred from Kayak to Iberia to American to another third party who would not answer questions and who did not send any confirmation info at all. Boarding should be from the back first to speed it up. It was not. Crew did not have wide variety of refreshments. Seats were much too narrow and there was no leg room. Food helpings were much too small for a long flight. Controls very poor."
Pros: "Crew was very not ve however flight was delayed causing no us to run to our connecting flight to Miami."
Cons: "No free snacks were provided on this flight."
Pros: "The team in both Rome and Madrid to went above and beyond. They were polite and empathetic to our situation, which was not Iberias fault. And they went out of their way to get us home on time. They always stayed positive. My family of 6 really appreciated. They have earned our loyalty."
Cons: "Delayed flight. Misplaced luggage. Long lines. Poor staffing. Had to give up food vouchers for delayed flight given long lines just to pick up vouchers. Long lines due to poor staffing."
Pros: "I made it to Chicago"
Cons: "This was American Airlines, not Iberia. I paid $120 to upgrade my seat to row 17 so I could get off the plane early and make my connection. I was ticketed to row 37 without any notice and was told it was not possible to change. All I can do it request a refund from American. My screen did not work and I could not watch anything on the flight."
