When I arrived in Doha I was told by the transfer desk that I did not need to pick up my bags because they had been checked to my final destination. I even asked them to pull up my flight information and to confirm that, which they did. However, when I arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, my bags were no where to be found. No one has found them yet. I also called Qatar Air before my flight and asked about hotel accommodations for my layover because my layover was from 6:00 pm to 7 am. When I called, I was told that I would be given a complimentary hotel room because of the length of the layover. However, when I arrived I was told that I did not qualify for the hotel accommodation. Then, I was told that a hotel room would cost 250. When i arrived at the hotel, I was told the cheapest was 325.

To start off, i was flying with two other people and we were not able to get seats together, and the whole seating process with delta is really difficult even when I had called weeks in advance to see if they could try and seat us together. I understand with main cabin tickets you can only choose your seat as you check in, but it would be nice to be able to request seating with a person/group you are flying with. I was placed in the very back row of a busy flight, and noticed that the horrible smell from the bathrooms which made it unpleasant. As said above, I normally have a pleasant experience.. but being a delta sky member I feel as though i do not really receive any differences as to a non-member. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing.

I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience.

I checked the British Airways website prior to leaving the U.S. and it said small instruments were okay. I was able to board from San Jose, USA, with no issues. However, I was told at Heathrow that no stringed instruments were allowed at all, under no circumstances, ever, no matter the size, even Business Class, even First Class, even if other airports were not enforcing the rules. The rules that ARE NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE 2. Poor customer service: Due to the above, at Heathrow airport, I had mixed signals everywhere and had to check-in THREE times, twice to oversize, I was sent back and forth all over the place, finally having to go all the way through the airport to pay to have my item boxed. Most of the folks along the way were extremely unpleasant and rude and acted as if it was the craziest thing in the world that I would have a carry-on travel guitar. TRAVEL guitar, small, not full size, not needing any special treatment. Most of the agents, who knew I was struggling with this, did not help me, for example, I had to wait in line all over again, twice! There was one woman that tried to help me and put me to the front of the line on one occasion and the last agent was helpful as well. I did not get any names, which I should have, because at the end, I FINALLY had those two staff members who helped me (see liked comments). I still had to check my box, but the final agent really went out of her way to make me feel better about the experience because she could see that I was given the runaround. But the folks at Oversize and the pre-Security line, were absolutely horrible and rude. No excuse for it at all. None.

Cons: British Air overbooked the flight; I checked in on time but there were no seat assignments left. I went to the gate anyway to try; the gate attendant kept me waiting for a seat so long that the gate closed. He was not nice. His colleague booked me on a different flight to LCY airport (instead of Heathrow). But that different flight got diverted to Manchester. So the fast that BA overbooked cost me an extra 6 hours and $140 to buy a train & tube ticket to get back to Heathrow. The fact that there was not a single smile among the staff, and I had to argue to even get on the second flight, is inexcusable.
Pros: Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer.
Pros: The crew was very considerate of the fact that we couldn’t order special meal, but quite willingly offered as food which is totally the opposite of our the previous flight

Cons: We sat waiting for takeoff for 45+ minutes. I slept for most of that, but woke up to us taxiing for takeoff (instead of landing as I had expected).
Cons: 2 drunk guys speaking Russian I think totally ruined the flight. They were ridiculously loud, making it impossible to sleep. Drinking multiple wines, they got louder and louder and more animated and sloppy. Really gross and for a 9+ hour flight, not enjoyable. Eventually, a flight attendant gently told them no more to drink and was very good. But it was too late. I have flown a ton and have never heard passengers this loud, in a foreign language. In addition, one of them was quite large with a bald head, thus intimidating. We had a very long day and just wanted to rest and that was not at al possible.
Cons: The entire flight was boarded before the crew determined the engine would not start. We sat on the plane without AC in Chicago for nearly 3 hours. Ultimately the flight was delayed overnight causing me to lose an entire day of vacation in Italy.
Pros: Plane left and landed on time.
Pros: The only good thing was that the flight departed on time. On arrival we had to go into a holding pattern, then once on the ground, there was a glitch and we were held on the place for about 30 minutes. We did make our next flight, however, but some people missed theirs.

On my flight to London, a mother with a young child wanted hot water and the staff (middle aged British male) was trying to tell her repeatedly she should say "please" when she asks. She was asking politely so this behaviour was rather poor in my view.

Seating chart should indicate where the metal boxes are that affect leg room in certain seats so those with a disability aren't seated there.

Never happens when I book directly at ba.com - so clearly, they penalize people who book through an airfare wholesale site. In addition, they typically offer an upgrade promotion ($$) online or at time of check-in, but when I asked they said they weren't offering any - despite a colleague who booked directly on ba.com being offered one. Won't ever make that mistake again - not worth it.

Cons: We ended up missing our scheduled flight because the ground staff at the check in counter area was totally unorganized. We were transferring from a British Airways flight and we reached the terminal area almost 45 minutes befor the departure time. we just needed to get boarding passes . There was no signed counters were one could avoid the very long lines of people checking their bags. By the time I found a airline agent willing to help us (30 minutes befor departure time) she said that they had closed the flight for check in and could not issue us boarding passes. So at no fault of our own we missed our connection to Venice. So when I asked them to put us the next flight they refused saying that we should have arrived sooner for check in and that it was British Airways fault. Air Berlin staff has no concept of customer service and I wouldn't be surprised that this Airline goes out of business in the near future. They suck!!

BA booked me on the flight but failed to change my ticket from the original flight causing me to miss the flight from Kansas City. At the airport BA agent told me on the phone that I would have to wait 3 more days after I had already waited 3 days because BA canceled my original flight. Because of the flight cancelation I missed two days of work and because of the failure to ticket my following flight I almost missed a full week of work. The BA booking person seemed content that there was no way I could make it to Saudi prior to the end of the week. Fortunately, the AA agent was able to find a way for me to continue my trip on a later flight.
