From December 21, Mauritius has advised that travelers who have been in the UK within the previous 15 days will not be allowed entry to Mauritius.
Book airline travel and accommodation via the official Mauritian Tourism Promotion Agency website.
Travelers must present a certificate of a negative PCR test issued within 7 days prior to departure.
Travelers must have a proof of purchase of a travel package including accommodation, on a full board basis, at a designated hotel for mandatory 14-day in-room quarantine.
All arriving travelers will be placed in quarantine and have to undergo PCR tests on day of arrival, day 7 and day 14 of the stay. If at any point, a PCR test reveals that a person is COVID-19 positive, they will be transferred to a public medical institution for treatment.
Travelers are not allowed to transit.
There are currently 28 active cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in MU and 10 deaths as of Jan 21 2021

In Paris, but ONLY after I located my receipt on my phone, they moved us to the seats we had paid for."

Cons: "1. Although i requested Halal food in advance, when i booked my flight, non was provided. 2. I got to the boarding gate, 10 minutes before the plane was initially scheduled to take off. I was the second last person to board the aircraft because there was a long queue at Passport control with only one officer for a prolonged period. The man at the final boarding checkpoint, insisted that i was late because of shopping, and insisted on me catching a new flight the following day. He said that they had already filled up the plane with Stand By passengers, and my bags had already been off loaded. I had to beg him to allow me to board, and eventually he did. About 10 minutes after the scheduled departure time, the captain announced that they were waiting for one more guest, and the flight actually left about 20 minutes later then schedule anyway. This series of evens led me to believe that the man at the boarding gate was trying to elicit a bribe from me."

Cons: "This flight was on South African Air but under the auspices of United. The was business class on an Air Bus 330+xxx. It's a small, cramped plane. The seats have a limited set of controls --no control for just moving the back or moving the seat forward. The worst part was when the seat was flat out. Your feet keep getting pushed deeper and deeper into a narrow hole. Once in there you aren't able to move them. You can't raise your knees. For a side sleeper you have to keep your feet from going into the hole as you put the seat flat out. The attendants were not friendly and did the minimum required. Also there weren't as many attendants as on other airlines. There was a large selection of movies but not many that I wanted to see."

Cons: "The delay because of problems with loading the baggage got us to JFK late. And that was just on the plane after we had to stand in the longest line before boarding. I also couldn't really enjoy the entertainment (e.g. movies or music) because the headset didn't fit well into the arm of the seat. I could only hear voices when I held the headset cord in one position, and it was difficulty keeping it in that position for an entire movie."
