Cons: "The assistant that they gave us was communicating with the TSA officer in Spanish who did not speak any English. The problem was she was over 75 and she does not have to remove her shoes. Instead of explaining to her what was going on she just took her shoes, which made my mother upset mad."

Cons: "The connecting flight was cancelled while boarding was in progress at the start of the journey."
Cons: "Always too many people."
Pros: "Entertainment, food, comfort, competence of staff, cleanliness of restrooms - all good. We were seated separately per the booking, and at the gate, the staff there managed to get us together."

Pros: "Jams you up with connections in Charlotte."
Cons: "Always running to make connections."
Pros: "Absolutely no part of the flight was comfortable or enjoyable."
Cons: "The plane itself was clearly an older model, lacking many amenities I’ve come to expect flying coach. The overhead compartments were too small for larger carryon luggage, and no one on the crew alerted passengers to this. Thus, many passengers had to go against the traffic of those still boarding to find space for luggage. My seat was at the back of the plane so I had to spend close to 15 extra minutes walking back to the front against boarding passengers to find a place to put my luggage. A simple warning from the crew when I boarded would have prevented mine and many others unnecessary trouble simply boarding. During a very turbulent flight, the captain nor the crew made any announcements about turbulence, our safety, or our progress. Also during the flight, one of the flight attendants got into an awkward verbal spat with one of the passengers. Completely unprofessional and bothersome. Additionally, I had fallen asleep when dinner was being first served, but woke up before it was finished. A flight attendant approached me and asked if I’d like a dinner to which I replied “Yes”. The flight attendant never returned with a dinner for me, thus I did not eat the dinner, which I had paid for. Lastly, and perhaps most disturbing, was what transpired when a passenger had a medical emergency. With no warning, all of the airplane lights turned on and a loud “CODE RED” was announced over the sound system. Imagine being a sleeping passenger like myself, during a very turbulent flight, to be suddenly awoken to bright lights and a CODE RED shouted loudly over the PA. I’m not overexaggerating when I say that I was preparing for the worst. A truly terrifying moment that I am certain was shared with many others on board. To make matters even worse, as a flight attendant rushed to find a first aid kit (which she had trouble finding) she opened up the compartment over my partners seat and dropped a passengers ipad on her head. The flight attendant did return to apologize, but it was little consolation compared to the stress and panic the crew created. I have flown many times, and this was easily the worst flight of my life. American Airlines should be ashamed of the conditions they put their passengers in and they have lost two customers for good."
Pros: "Roomy leg room"
Cons: "Plane to start, delay loading, dlaying taking off.almost hour late arriving."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Food was terrible and the seats tight"
Pros: "I flew economy. We left the gate on time, the seat was comfortable, entertainment was varied, flight attendants that I came in contact with were professional and pleasant, food was hot and very good, pilots got me where I wanted to go, and that little container of ice cream - oh I love it! The plane was not completely full, which made the seating more comfortable than it would have been if the plane was full."
Cons: "I was ushered into what became a very slow line to board. The employee at the end of my line had to deal with a few problems so I ended up boarding close to the end, behind those with higher group boarding numbers than I. Having a single line up to the two boarding employees, would avoid that, albeit make a longer line to begin with."
Cons: "Why is coffee such an exorbitant request?"
Cons: "The plane was incredibly hot and humid while we were on the ground. The stewardess told us we had a broken APU but would not tell us what that is or if it was actually a problem. Someone pressed the call button during the flight but the stewardess couldn't be bothered to get up and the call light stayed on the whole flight. Eventually the plane cooled some once we were airborne but stayed too warm. It got very hot once again when we landed."
Pros: "No drama- always great flying from Long Beach"
Cons: "Really wish that there were power adaptors. Landed with a dead battery."
Pros: "Nice aircraft,"
Cons: "let down by unattentive staff and felt more like a budget airline with the fact that you have to pay for meals"
Pros: "Airport staff were so helpful, they helped my mom out that needed a wheelchair, the American Airlines staff were also so helpful changing seats"
Cons: "The food on the plane was not very good. Also having to pay for checking are bag was annoying. We thought using our American Airlines card would pay for the baggage but they said it wasn't covered ...."
Cons: "Free seats in economy class are way too squeezed for a 10 hours flight."
Pros: "Flight attendants were very friendly and attentive."
Pros: "Flight itself was fine"
Cons: "Check in was the worst. 1.75 hours just to check bags. Barely made flight when arriving 3 hours before"
Pros: "GSP easy to navigate- easy option for WNC travelers"
Pros: "More improved than the last trip I took with AA to Denver. Efficient boarding."
Pros: "Quick boarding and taxi. On and off the flight seemlessly."
Pros: "The movie, game and music selections were good. However, my son was only able to connect to the Disney movies. Something was wrong with his monitor."
Cons: "Food was awful! Service was hit or miss. One flight attendant was very curt in asking about beverages. They seemed to be impatient. Also, comfort level was poor. I am only about 5'2" but I thought leg room space was tight."
Cons: "Too many delays Seats too cramped Too much crowding at boarding ...need a single file roped off lines for boarding passengers by group numbers so there would be less shoving, K coming people down, and stepping on feet."
Pros: "Staff was nice."
Cons: "Again boarding and unboarding was very slow."
Cons: "The cabin crew for first class spent more time talking with each other and a pilot that was on our flight than with those flying. When they started passing out snacks they forgot the plates that had the napkins and utensils and were supposed to hold the snacks."
Pros: "That I arrived safely"
Cons: "I did not like the departure delay from 6:05 to about 9:50. Why did have to wait so long for a pilot to come, and then further wait for a flight attendant to arrive"
Pros: "On board flight entertainment did not work No kid friendly meal options Bags checked onto the wrong flight from PHL-DEN"
Cons: "The only negative aspect of the three hopswas a couple of gate changes prior to boarding... one at Dallas and one at Charlotte and the could not have been much further apart, new gate from the original gate... but it made for a leg-stretcher during a long day of sitting"
Pros: "Pleasant staff, clean passenger lounge and plane cabin"
Cons: "Wish standard seating allowed for more width, better way to avoid reclined seat in front"
Pros: "I fainted on my flight and everyone was really nice and helpful to make sure I was okay."
Pros: "Affordable first class seat - very unusual for AA"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "JoMarie was very helpful at LGB. And we eventually arrived at our destination."
Cons: "This was a horrible travel experience, the worst I have ever known. My uncle had died, so I had to search for the soonest and most economical flight in order to attend the funeral. Traveling with me was my aunt (his ex wife) and my cousin (his only daughter). Our initial flight was delayed 'due to mechanical issues' and they said we weren't going to make our connection in Phoenix. So they had to reroute the whole trip, which took about half an hour because all of the flights were full. So instead of flying from LGB - PHX - CLT - CAE and arriving Saturday night, we ended up departing from LAX (which we specifically were trying to avoid) almost 9 hours later. From there to DEN - CLT - GSP arriving Sunday morning. Because of this I had to contact the hotel and let them know that we weren't going to check-in until the next day, but I still ended up having to pay for Saturday night. Then, I had to cancel the rental car and make a new reservation to pick it up at GSP and return at CAE since the hotel was close to CAE, plus the return flight was through CAE. Also, wifi was an additional cost (which we didn't use because of this), the snacks were pitiful, and the seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. I have flown with JetBlue in the past, but on this occasion, last minute flights to South Carolina were prohibitively expensive. That being said, if I had known how bad the experience with American was going to be, I would have gladly paid literally double the price for the JetBlue tickets. And in the future, I will be flying exclusively with JetBlue no matter what the cost."
Cons: "seats were very uncomfortable"
