Hong Kong has restricted the entry of all travelers who are not Hong Kong passport holders, Permanent Identity Card holders, work or study visa holders, or British passport holders with “British Nationality (Overseas)” nationality with the right of abode in Hong Kong.
Starting on November 22, an Air Travel Bubble (ATB) between Hong Kong and Singapore will launch that will facilitate quarantine-free travel between Hong Kong and Singapore via designated flights. Additional COVID-19 testing is required. Further information can be found on the Hong Kong Tourism Commission’s website.
Travelers who have only been in China, Taiwan, or Macau in the past 14 days may still enter.
Hong Kong residents with an Identity card accompanied by a visa marked with “Permission to remain extended until” may enter Hong Kong within the validity of the permitted stay.
Hong Kong has included the UK to the list of specified high risk places on October 1.
Airline crew, government officials, spouses and minor children of Hong Kong residents, and personnel endorsed by the HKSAR government to engage in anti-epidemic work may also enter.
From November 13, travelers arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, with the exception of those travelling from mainland China, Macao and Taiwan must have a confirmation in English or Chinese of a hotel reservation in Hong Kong for at least 14 days.

Starting on November 22, the ATB travelers must have tested negative in mutually recognized tests taken within 72 hours prior to their departure. They must also have no travel history to any places other than Singapore or Hong Kong in the last 14 days prior to their departure. The ATB travelers must travel on designated flights to minimize risks. All ATB travelers must undertake COVID-19 tests again via a designated lane at the airport upon arrival at Hong Kong, while awaiting the result they must stay in a restricted area of the airport where they can't leave until they receive a receipt of negative result.
All travelers eligible to enter Hong Kong must wear face masks, present a completed Health Declaration Form to the Department of Health upon arrival, and must undergo 14 days of compulsory quarantine. Certain groups of people traveling from mainland China, Taiwan and Macau may be granted an exemption from quarantine requirements by applying in advance to the Chief Secretary of the Administration. Transiting between flights operated by different airlines is now allowed. Transiting through Hong Kong from, but not to, mainland China is now allowed until October 15. Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews

Pros: "Food options were good. We got 3 meals."
Cons: "I paid $70 for what I thought was Updating my seat to bulkhead section and it ended up being for me just selecting my seat. Epic fail."

Cons: "Provide more options for food. There were 2 vegan meals out of 3. Self serve counter provide more seats options and provide change seat function"
Pros: "There were 2 crew members who were very helpful and nice."
Cons: "The movies were kind of poor but the worst part really was the service. Most were not willing to help me at all (I was traveling solo with a baby and carry on baggage + a car seat). One stewardess even told another passenger to carry something back for me since the crew was too busy."
Pros: "Entertainment options were great! A huge selection of movies for all."
Cons: "The food was not great and they ran out of options when they got to the back of the plane."
Cons: "Boarded onetime, maybe a little early, but still departed 25 minutes late for no apparent reason. This caused me to nearly miss my connecting flight. Got to the gate just as they were about finished boarding."
Pros: "seats were nice, upgrade appreciated. one crew member was very nice and personable."
Cons: "some crew members simply approached each task as something to be completed and we not very personable or friendly. Annoyed it seemed to have to interact with passengers. Wish I could remember her name ..."
Cons: "Please have better seats in normal economy that’s friendlier for people over 6’. I’m 6’4” and I’m still having body pains from being jammed into a small seat that went foward as you lean backwards. So I couldn’t be comfortable for 16 hours of flying. KLM, United, LOT all for example have much better"
Pros: "pleasant crew"
Cons: "No in flight service"
Cons: "I’ll never fly American Airlines again. Staff was rude and food and entertainment screen did not work"
Pros: "Flight was on time, arrived just a few minutes late, and newer aircraft."
Cons: "Seat didn’t redline, food was marginal, flight attendants just did their job, nothing to write home about. It stands to reason: economy seat, economy food, economy entertainment, economy sleep, economy experience."
Pros: "Starters, the flight was co coached with American airlines which is one of the worst airlines I've traveled so far. They lost my bad, and so far no one can help me locate it. Changed my flight without noticing me, made me run around the airport like crazy trying to catch the connecting flight just to find out that AA airlines already changed my itinerary."
Cons: "Everything. Poor service, rude flight attendants, unhelpful staff."
Cons: "that my flight got cancelled and wasn't going out until Saturday and I would have been less than 24 hrs in Boston"
Pros: "Flight attendants"
Cons: "VERY cramped"
Pros: "Seemed like a tiny bit more leg room, lots of good movie choices."
Cons: "Food was bleh."
Cons: "The flight from Miami to Sao Paulo was delayed, therefore, I lost the flight from Sao Paulo to Asunción, those from Latam did not give me any solution and they sent me to the people of American Airlines saying it was their fault. I traveled 3 hours through the whole airport and they did not give me any solution, no new flight."
Pros: "Entertainment is good, polite staff"
Cons: "The food was horrid, the seats are short for leg-room, although this was American Airlines Operated by Cathay."
Pros: "Nice crew Spacious plane"
Pros: "Great flight overall"
Cons: "Dinner could have been more occidental"
Pros: "American did transfer us to another flight after several hours' delay."
Cons: "Lack of scheduled flight crew caused a 2 hour delay causing American to re-route us via Chicago in lieu of Phoenix. Still, arrived 2 hours later..."
Pros: "upgraded to business, which made for a nice ride home."
Cons: "seat and monitor seemed to have minds of their own, but only caused a minor inconvenience I'm frustrated with AA's information on movies, which is questionable and unrealable. For example, the recently released film 'Coco' was listed as PG-13 and not included in the "Disney" category. "Justice League" was listed as R. There are several other examples of misinformation in their movie listings. For parents who use the ratings as one piece of information to guide their children, it would be nice to have correct information when making selections. this problem is not new; it's been this way for over a year now. I hoped that over time they would get it right, but alas, it remains inconsistent at best."
Cons: "The desk people were aggressively unhelpful when I asked for advice on getting a jacket back that I had left my previous flight (less than an hour earlier). They treated me with derision and ridicule because my previous flight was with a different airline, an airline that is closely enough associated with American that they booked me on an American flight. It should have been possible to at least talk to someone that could address my situation but now I'm stuck with the likely loss of something important to me and a strong dislike of American airlines. I'm probably just salty because it happened yesterday though. I'll get over the jacket eventually and probably fly with American again. But I will always resent them."
Cons: "Tiny seats. Very uncomfortable for 17 hours."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Rude customer"
Pros: "seat and seating was nice, boarding was efficient, movies okay"
Cons: "while the dinner was okay, the stromboli which came as a snack of sorts was terrible and caused me to be "on the run" for the next 12 hours. the last five hours of the flight and then at home were awful"
Pros: "Boarding was simple and efficient Seat was better than usual"
Cons: "Dinner was okay, the mid-flight snack was awful and made my wife sick, breakfast was better. Entertainment console crashed four times, first crew member didn’t seem to care (aloof for most of the flight), other attendants seemed marginally more interested. No one checked back to see if the problem was resolved. Flight attendants seem to be in “check the box” mode doing only what was necessary."
Cons: "It wasn't Cathy Pacific operation."
Pros: "En general el proceso fue sencillo y el vuelo a tiempo."
Cons: "Al momento de hacer la entrega de equipaje en Miami no había personal de la aerolínea brindando información, fue confuso."
Pros: "Crew was friendly, seats were comfortable."
Cons: "Didn't receive any snacks for the flight Had to pay for any use of wifi. Entertainment used to be provided along with trip."
Pros: "While it wasn't Singapore Air ultra quality, the staff did a nice job for an USA-based airline. I appreciated the option of watching first run movies. There was one I wanted to see but would never have made the time to see it in the theater. Done."
Cons: "Sadly, I am a big guy (2XL to 3XL). Halfway through the flight, my left thigh was throbbing from the pressure. I cannot afford first class travel so this will presumably be an issue until I drop the weight."
Cons: "Never made it to San Juan to catch my cruise. To top things off I was a ship for two days without my luggage and underwears. Never again!!! Thank you JetBlue!!!"
Pros: "Boarding was quick and easy, no problems or hassles. Seat reclined and was reasonably comfortable. Left early, arrived even earlier."
Cons: "Crew was more robotic than human, which is bexoming a trend on AA. No smiles, no acknowledgment, just doing the job of handing out food and picking up trash. No personal touch whatsoever. Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."
Pros: "Exiting the plane and finally getting out of cramped seating!"
Cons: "Seats were very small. Touching the person next to you is uncomfortable and awkward! I am not looking forward to the long flight home."
Pros: "We made up time in the air and landed early. Seats were very comfortable."
Cons: "We landed early but had to wait a half hour to be able to get to an open gate. Then when arriving at the gate the jet bridge was unavailable so we waiting on the plan for an hour after touchdown. Then during my baggage claim pick up I found it open and spilling out into the bin and it was the first time I used this suitcase. Overall, I don't think it was the airlines fault but the airports fault at LAX, however all of these thing combined made it a less enjoyable flight/experience."
Pros: "1st Class cabin was comfortable but below business class product of most premium competitors from Asia and the Middle East"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 5 times for 6 and a half hours in total. Poor communication from the airline. Had they been honest and up-front about the delay I could have been re-booked on another flight. This delay caused me to miss an important factory meeting and will require another trip to Asia sooner than originally planned."
Pros: "everything ran like clockwork"
Pros: "We boarded fast and the flight was smooth. The crew was very friendly."
Cons: "The sears were a little uncomfortable. They went terrible but my back started to go out on my 2 hour plans ride."
Cons: "I bought Japan Air but it was American air.. I'm not buy tickets any more!!"
Pros: "The smooth flight."
