Top airline flying from Maine to Toronto
Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "No entertainment"
Pros: "Larger seats than Alaska Airlines, which is what I typically fly."
Cons: "They would have gotten a better rating if my luggage would have shown up. Instead, I was told to wait in a "holding pen" for my luggage to show up so I could clear customs. After waiting for 30 minutes, I went to the Air Canada desk and was immediately told my luggage was not in Toronto. They were easily able to verify it but didn't figure it was important enough to tell me although for most of the time, I was the only one waiting in the room. My luggage did arrive two days after I did."
Cons: "We took off 1 to two hours late"
Pros: "Empty plane"
Pros: "An Air Canada rep over the phone"
Cons: "Gate agent, zero entertainment (and no warning that we should download an app inside airport), poor food, flight attendant wouldn't bring coffee to us (made us go to the back)"
Pros: "We actually arrived alive."
Cons: "We arrived into London so late that we were forced to take a taxi at a huge expense. During the 3 hr delay the only food provided was a small bag of pretzels and water."
Cons: "Misinformation on baggage allowance for Tango flights."
Pros: "Very cool service, nice, modern aircraft, entertainment system"
Cons: "Small leg space in economy"
Cons: "We almost missed our connection and no concern, communication, or assistance from crew. They should allow close timed flights priority thru process."
Cons: "I was not able to board this flight. And it was such a disappointment and a shocking first for me. I reached the airport and on being checked at the counter, I was told that I cannot board because I don't have a Canadian visa. It was shocking to learn that I needed visa for a 1.5 hour layover. The website should give a prompt or should share the requirements. And all my ticket money got wasted."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Food , uncomfortable ,"
Pros: "Everyone was very courteous to us. Very little turbulence on trip. Flying is very easy today more than Even 5 years ago. I will fly again on Air Canada"
Cons: "Small basic meals"
Cons: "Pushed call button twice as I could not get entertainment system in business class to work, never came"
Pros: "The crew was really nice."
Cons: "The didn't include a meal or any wine/beer as most international flights do."
Cons: "Staff was useless. Made all international connections via my cell phone."
Pros: "I thought the crew was friendly."
Cons: "The seats were incredibly small and uncomfortable. No snacks were offered."
Pros: "At least there was food tho only banana bread for breakfast"
Cons: "No movies or entertainment for overnight flight"
Pros: "I enjoyed the entertainment option."
Cons: "Wish there were more choices for new movies."
Pros: "Quick flight, well-done!"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled and they did not bother to inform us! Ended up flying on United and arrived 6 hours later than planned."
Cons: "Flight delayed. Attendant told us to come back tomorrow and we could get on the same flights just a day later. Really?? not that stupid. Had problems getting a room overnight - management said we weren't in the system. Gentleman at air canada desk very rude - even told his partner in front of us he couldn't stand this part of his job."
Cons: "Short movie list"
Cons: "Flight was great. Kayak was a nightmare to work with."
Cons: "The fight itself was fine. Not great. Not terrible. But the airline lost my son's suitcase and has been entirely unhelpful ever since then. Now we have been stuck in a foreign country without clothes and toiletries for 36 hours and Air Canada's "helpline" has been anything but helpful. They can not find any information on the location of the suitcase and hope that they will find it in another 48 hours. Rediculous!! I will never fly them again and suggest that you save your money, effort and vacation by flying with another airline."
Pros: "Decent flight"
Cons: "Delays are part of travel, but they're ridiculous and I am unhappy with the delay leaving Minneapolis. It caused all sorts of problems down the line because it caused me to miss my connection, take different flights, and come into Munich much later than I had expected. Also, you Canadians don't have Sudoku in your magazines. Why?"
Pros: "How quick it waz"
Cons: "How close the seats were"
Pros: "All services and most of all excellent customer services."
Pros: "Friendly crew. Very smooth flight. Easy to navigate terminal."
Pros: "Leg space, arrival on time"
Cons: "Had to pay for food and cheap earbuds"
Pros: "Airplane was clean and crew was nice."
Pros: "Glad for this new route. Will make Europe easier to access from PDX."
Pros: "Plane arrived pretty much on time. Boarding was uneventful."
Cons: "Plane too low to use jetway at Pearson. Epic walk from US gates to immigration. Insufficient leg room if you're over 5'10", but that's how it is these days."
Pros: "I liked the way they handled the rain delay. Although inconvenient, they were transparent with the process"
Cons: "The lack of certainty whether we were removed or stilling our connecting flight to delay."
Pros: "The entertainment. The first meal was decent."
Cons: "The crew was really rude, didn't respond to the call light, and took 2.5 hours to present headphones to everyone. I thought they were joking when they brought out a third of a sandwich for the "snack"."
Pros: "Schedule ok"
Cons: "Pitch was miserable Attendant said bit was a low cost carrier so no tv in seat We are over 6 feet so never again"
Cons: "The flight needed canada transit visa and you guys dint even said me. Moreover when I contacted vayama as my bookings were proceeded by them even they dint helped me and then I had to cancel my ticket. I expect you to refund my money because of your fault I could not board the flight and had a horrible experience"
Pros: "On time good staff"
Cons: "Legroom - amazingly cramped, and I'm only 5'10""
Pros: "Bos->Toronto Good Air Canada at Boston Logan airport has there own gate area with only 3 gates. This reduces the security line for faster security check. However this also causes problems with PreCheck. See below."
Cons: "Bad There is only one line for security at Air Canada Boston Logan because of the small volume at this check point. Because of this, PreCheck passages need to hold onto there bording pass as they go through security. The first security person who checks ID and boarding pass only told my wife not to take off her shoes. He did not tell her to hold on to her boarding pass, so she put it into the bin for x-ray stuff. So later security personnel then told her to take off her shoes and gave her a body scan because her boarding pass was already in the x-ray machine. I always hold on to my boarding pass thru security but had to take my computer out of my carry-on."
Cons: "No complimentary snacks and all available food extremely expensive. Would not use this airline again if others were an option."
Pros: "Movies were great."
Cons: "Having to pay extra for a window or an aisle seat."
Pros: "Good flight and on time."
Pros: "The crew was good!"
Cons: "I wished that there were opportunities given for beverages. I also would have liked more explanations on how to connect to the entertainment."
Pros: "We checked in late and therefore weren't able to get seats together. At the ticket counter, we asked to get put together and were able to get these seats."
Cons: "As with all coach seats, they were cramped."
Pros: "Free snack"
Cons: "Very crowded, small seating and legroom"
Pros: "I will fly Air Canada again but will probably drive to Toronto to catch a plane, rather than take the connecting plane out of my own city. There's a Tim Horton's at the airport!"
Cons: "Flight from our small city was late leaving and we didn't find out about the delay until close to the take off time. The reason given to us was that there was too much air traffic in Toronto. Couldn't this have been planned better? Not the fault of Air Canada."
Cons: "Even though this flight was operated by CA and booked through Ethiopian, they would not honor my two checked bags. However, the guy behind me - also going to Ethiopia - they allowed two checked bags, no charge. I always feel like they aren't willing to budge or look up the rules or even just be nice about baggage. I'd rather not give any more $$ for baggage that i'm actually allowed."
Cons: "Over 1 hour waiting on phone and disconnected. Terrible. Check-in people didn't even say one single word of apology. they suggested call Air Canada."
