Nice airplane, quick boarding, excellent crew. The entertainment choices are very poor comparing to previous trips with LH. Food was horrible, neither one of us ate it.
I will never book kayak again, it looks everything was fine, but when I got to the airport the informed they inform me that I have a reservation but not a ticket. I try to contact kayak never can go through anyone after over 1 hour of trying we discovered thar although they took our credit card information. The card was never charged and we have to buy a whole new ticket.

The seats, even in the basic economy, which we had,reclined and were comfortable; good legroom. Food and drink offerings were standard. Amounts were small, but everything was the right temperature. Restrooms were clean and well equipped. Movie offerings, not many newer releases. Nothing like Sky news, so you couldn't check weather or current events. Crew was courteous and attentive,"
Cons: "Boarding at Frankfort left much to be desired. First off, the equipment was not ready; we waited 45 min. to board after we got to the gate (early) and due to turbulence over the Atlantic, the pilots could not make up the time. We are senior citizens. We, along with about 25 others in our category, responded to the call for us to get in line to board, stand for 30 min. The gate personnel did not provide any information that boarding was NOT imminent at that point, so you had to stand up to keep your place. Finally, once the boarding for people needing assistance began, we got to choose between using 2 flights of stairs (a faster way to get into the plane) or an elevator to board the plane. (Hello! We have trouble with things like stairs; don't you know that?) The elevator accommodated one wheelchair and 2 or 3 people at a time. More waiting in the jetway to get down to the plane! The whole boarding process took 90 min. from the time we stood up to the time they closed the doors. Bad grades for the the cleaning crew making us wait so long, for the gate personnel for keeping us in the dark and the disorganized process boarding. Nobody cared about our discomfort, not what we would have expected from LH. Consequently, we've revised our opinion of Luthansa. Maybe next time we'll take BA."

They than reclined the seat back and my seat was broken do I asked them to put the seat forward and they ignored me. I informed the cabin crew that they weren't being considerate after all I gave up my seat to them. The cabin crew told me I could leave my 4 yest old and 3 year old alone and move to a new seat."

Pros: "This was a long flight but it was made comfortable by the airline and crew. The seats weren't terrible and I was actually able to recline some. I loved the headrests that adjust to whatever height you want. I also loved the remotes with the TV screens because I've never had that before and my arm gets tired playing the games! The crew was very friendly. The food was good and many drinks were offered frequently which was nice."

I was able to eat basic carbohydrates but no protein sources other than the almonds I always travel with. When paying $1000 for a flight I should be able to sit with my husband and eat some food. Also the TV screens are very difficult to use, not responsive to touch."

Cons: "On my way to Europe BA lost my custom made titanium crutches that cost over $750. They were moved without my consent to the holding of the plane, with checked baggage. The crutches were not tagged when moved without my permission and are now lost with very little chance of finding them. In the three weeks since they have only replied to one of my emails to say they will not provide compensation even to replace the crutches. It disheartens me they have a lack of care and urgency for equipment that is so vital for daily mobility in people's lives."

Cons: "Hey there good Air Canada folks. I'm a full-time, working, touring musician. I enjoy flying your airline overall, but touring with an acoustic guitar and/or a banjo is constantly stressful. There are clear guidelines about your policies for musical instruments posted on your website, yet your employees never seem to know them. Please have something posted for them at the gates, so I don't have to convince them EVERY TIME that it's okay for me to carry on my instrument in a soft case. A side note: Since airlines started charging for baggage, people are desperate to carry on as much as possible. This means there is always a struggle now against people with a bunch of clothing and personal items in their rolling luggage, to fit the instrument that is my LIVELIHOOD on the plane. Please find a way to make touring with Air Canada easier for musicians. At least return to gate check policies."
Pros: "Im not impressed with air canada. Every time I fly with them there is ALWAYS a delay. I understand that they cant help weather. But when your flight gets delayed over an hour due to their own computer system failing on the way to newyork and to not be compinsated at all its not acceptable. Even on my way home from newyork we were supose to board at 7:55pm and ended up boarding at 9:40pm. they decided to pick and choose people to be boarded on the earlier flight that was right before mine. Not at all fair. I used my whole 30 minutes free wifi (that cuts in and out constantly)before we found out about the delay then I was left with nothing. Not cool when you cant contact anyone. Also REALLY ANNOYING. and the staff are rude if you ask them anything. Then on the plane i wasted 5 bucks trying to buy wifi since you guys dont even have it on your planes for free like delta does. Even then you pay for the worst wifi on the planet where your messages take a half hour to go through and over my whole hour and 10 minute flight i had 3 messages because of your horrible gogo wifi. Waste of money. Overall this whole air canada experience made me want to rip my hair out and stressed me out to the point that I dont want to fly again. I will more then likely not fly with you guys if it can be avoided"

Pros: "When I finally got to the US Customs agents they were actually quite nice. This has been my experience with US agents in Vancouver and Philadelphia as well. Yesterday they were especially cordial, while at the same time quite professional. Made me proud to be a US citizen."

I've come home from Vancouver many times before, and most times I fly direct to the USA from YVR, where things are much better. Don't think it's Tornoto's fault.....but, yesterday's experience with the security line makes it unlikely that I will come back home this way again."

They mentioned that "this flight never existed" I had taken a day off of work to be there and I also had a meeting, however, my flight had been cancelled. Also, the costumer service representative mentioned that if I left th airport, they would not let me back in. They would do 2 security checks on me. After all of that! When I asked the check in lady at air Canada they mentioned that flight was not cancelled and not to look at the boards at the airport because they are incorrect! Horrible service. When we asked for a suggestion on where we could go in the airport to kill several hours (eating, drinking, watching TV), were were told by many that the airport is bad and we're given conflicting or poor answers. Intimately the advice given put us having to go thru security and Custims again (even though we already had) and that process was extremely disorganized and time consuming."

I have been a nurse for 24 years and i simply asked for a cool cloth for a gentleman sitting next to me that was feeling ill and very pale. India returned with 5 emesis bags and no cloth and never once came back to check on the gentleman!!! I really wish it was not a full flight because i would have advised him to puke all over everything. How hard was it to provide a cool cloth?? Really? I know first class has wash cloths and that was an easy request. And the fact that she never came back to see if we needed anything or to tell us she did not have a cloth for him. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will think twice about flying Air Canada again. Thank god for good citizeans willing to help strangers in a time of need."

3 of us 4 could not check-in online and were suggested to do it with the airline at the airport. When we arrived to the Iberia counter it turned out these 3 people were not on the passengers‘ list, simply did not have a ticket. We had to buy 3 tickets on the go for more than 900€ to take that flight and avoiding to lose other trips from Madrid. PLEASE, CONTACT US for discussing this event and returning our money.

The crew was the most friendly ever! Just made no sense the fact that we couldn’t get the bearding pass on a timely manner due to issues with CDC site, it was caused not by the AA WORKER, she was great, but something wouldn’t work in the system and it took us over an hour till we could get our boarding passes. And makes no sense to us why we couldn’t seat together. There were plenty couples separated and we had to swap seats. It was a long flight so you’d rather sit w a partner. So if there’s anyway to allow us flying coach to pick our seats ahead of time like most airlines that would be wonderful!, this way there wouldn’t be surprises at boarding.

There was delays on my departure flight and return flight both due to mechanical issues. The flight crew has us fill out re-entry documents on the return trip from Portugal to US that were unnecessary since the airport has kiosk to take the information. This made the disembarking very stressful.
My original flight had been canceled and they got me on a better flight with a shorter layover. I spoke to Roger on the customer service line and he was wonderful.

The plain was supposed to departure at 6:30pm and I got there at 6:20pm the agent at the gate told me that the doors were closed and she gave me a plain ticket for the next flight to San Francisco."

I was in the bathroom 3x during the flight and I usually don't use the restroom more than once during any given flight. I didn't like that when asking for a drink of water, they only give a half full cup of room-temperature water. On an 8 hour flight, I get dehydrated and could drink 2 water bottles alone. I don't like to be a nuisance to the attendants so I only asked for water twice. I just wish they would provide small personal bottles per customer. I also have never flown on TAP before so I wasn't aware of anything like how to call an attendant using the touch-screen or even that watching movies was free. It should be said over the intercom at the beginning of the flight."

Cons: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."
