How can you have a complimentary lounge for people missing their flight but not allow people in. I guess because we were only economy. When asked could we pay for an upgrade to business class, the attendant responded with "oh, its expensive" I didn't ask how much, I asked if we could. I never felt so insulted. The food was terrible. By the time they got to us, our food was cold and they ran out of the menu item we wanted. I have no intention of flying Qatar again. I will stick with Emirates"

Cons: "Hello- The system for online checking was down (I think) it took a lot of time to check in. By the time we got to passport control, there was a huge line and an hour and half was left before take off. Anyways we joined the line. Half way through, 45 min before flight (flight was eventually delayed for an hour I think but we did not know that at the time) we realized that we were definetly going to get late and were looking for any Emirates person (whilst in line) who could guide us. Eventually someone did came and told a group (some way ahead of us) that people flying to Lahore and Karachi can go to another office for passport control (we ran to that office). I believe instead of sending 1 person to a line of say 300+ people to fetch for people for Lahore and Karachi can devise a contingent plan for these kind of situations. Maybe use a hand held digital board asking passengers with Flight no:XXX to head to a place so and so. Maybe megaphone can be used. Instead of passenger anxiously trying to get to 1 person whilst keeping in line to get some important information. In flight I used the button twice to call a crew member for some juice and water. But nobody came. But that might be understandable as there was a lot going on some 1 hour after dinner I think and is not a big problem. Don't know what kind of coordination they have with Dubai airport staff, seemed least bothered."

As prepared for departure, blankets and pillows were distributed amongst the passengers. Once in flight, dinner and in the morning, breakfast. And, throughout the night, the flight attendants attended to passenger requests for beverages and snacks. The plane was clean and, maybe I need to compliment my fellow passengers also, for the washrooms were clean and well maintained. We arrived on time and the trip seemed rather short with the entertainment of movies, news and inflight updates. Cons: "I was given a seat between 2 men and it was most uncomfortable. I am not sure why seating is not done more sensitively for passengers. I requested an aisle seat but never got one. Also, there were no vegetarian options for those who didn't book a special meal in advance. I am a star alliance member with Qatar and love their service. I didn't think Emirates would be below that standard because I have heard a lot about the airline and decided to fly them for a change. I was told that if there was any vegetarian option left behind I would get one but the steward didn't even have the decency to come back to tell me there wasn't any left. For the breakfast the steward was much nicer and was able to provide me with a vegetarian option."

WHen landed in DXB, There was a long walk form the plane to the gate where you can find a stroller in the airport( which is only a single stroller) and having 3 kids which does not help. Why not give strollers at gate just like all other airlines! I was prepared and had the double stroller with me! Never again on Emirates with kids!"

It is very frustrating to see that I was forced to pay US$ 175 for an excess of only 9 Kg. Even after I told him that my other luggage didn’t have the maximum weight he insisted either to throw away my items or pay the amount. The supervisor was ready to either not let to board the flight or leave my luggage. I could have appreciated if either charged only extra 9kgs or move the excess volume to check in luggage that was not full. The supervisor was not ready to listen and he constantly treats me in a disrespectful manner. Given to the mistreatments I had I have vows not to travel with Emirates anymore and also advise my friends and colleagues not to use it. Cons: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."

First we were told it was cancelled and would be put up in a hotel, but on the way the wheelchair driver was asked to return to office and drop us at a gate. At this gate the departure time kept changing every hour or so without any plane at the gate, or staff. This lasted till next day about 3 PM. For this long period There was no water. The was no assistance to bathroom or food or water. All the passangers were upset. They organized and went to talk to the Airline personnel. They returned frustrated since none of the Airline staff knew anything."

Even though we had confirmed veg meals multiple times with the airline prior to boarding, they still did not know that we had a specially requested Meal. After notifying the crew of this, one member gave us an extra meal. Another extremely rude staff member then proceeded to yell at us for eating meal. This was extremely uncalled for and has severly ruined the reputation of this airline in our eyes. The customer should still be addressed with some common courtesy and not be treated as if they are beneath the crew members, as if we are at fault for the crew's own carelessly stupid mistakes and lack of organization and proper communication"

I requested them that I can buy a bag and can divide the stuff in two bags. But supervisor who seemed Indian was really racist and he kept insisting that we are flying in 5 minutes. Either you have to pay penalty for this hand carry or you can cancel your flight. I have never ever seen this kind of behavior from anyone specially from a supervisor. I ended up paying $300 extra for only 2 kg extra weight in my hand carry. I would recommend my whole family and friends not to choose this airline anymore."
