In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C.

Cons: Your incompetent agents messed up my reservation multiple times. They called my home and emailed asking for a payment, even though my client bought the ticket for me. Then, when I was checking in I realized my name was wrong even though my client has a document that proves she typed the right name. Finally, and AGAIN KAYAK, I arrive at the airport and Turkish Air says the ticket is booked but not ticked. So I had to jump on a 30min wait over the phone trying to solve issue after issue. Never doing business again with Kayak.

Cons: The guy that checked me in was very rude and wasn’t smiling at all and then he showed my passport picture to his colleague and they both started laughing. I was trying to use the restroom on the plane but there was a person in there for a long time; I waited outside patiently and then when I got in I brushed my teeth and used the toilet. It didn’t take me that long but the flight attendant knocked hard on the door but she didn’t do that for me with the other guy. I didn’t feel welcomed at all from the crew honestly.
Cons: Seats are too cramped and not enough leg room. Plus our seats did not recline which is painful on a 10 hour flight. The flight attendants and front desk workers had an attitude as well.
Cons: Had to stay overnight in the lounge zone. Hotel inside the airport wasn’t available. Outside you have to spend sometime at the multiple lines, buy visa, get the voucher, take the shuttle bus... By the time you done with that, it’s time to come back. Didn’t expect that for the business class ticket holders.

Cons: Late into the flight there appeared to be a medical emergency taking place just a few rows ahead of me. No announcement was made; it was as though we were expected to ignore the situation. But with the lights in the cabin turned on, a small crowd gathered, and the passenger being vocal in his distress .. . a brief announcement would have been nice: Situation under control, no need to worry, flight will continue as scheduled. The passenger had a relapse a few hours later - again no acknowledgement from the crew to reassure those of us who could hear his cries of distress.

Cons: I booked my flight with Turkish Airlines for June 28th at 11:05 pm. A few hours before my flight, there were bombings in the airport in Istanbul, which was where I was flying into. I tried for hours to contact Turkish Airlines and their phone was disconnected. I could not reach anyone to try to re-schedule a new flight or to ask if the flight was going to be re-directed. I received no information and ended up having to book a new flight for the next day. After my flight had already left Turkish Airlines posted on their website an alert. I am shocked that it took so long to post any information and I am very upset that I was unable to reach customer service. I will NOT be choosing this airline to fly on again.
Pros: This was my first time flying with Turkish Airlines, and I had a great experience. I travel internationally a lot and it has been by far the best airline I have been on. I love flights that give you a hot towel when you arrive, so that was a big plus in my book. The flight stewards were so helpful both on and off the flight. The food was delicious. Movie selections were freat ad well.

It was frustrating, irritating, uncaring crew checking in, and a bit rude. Then on of my checked luggage was lost enroute - which made getting off the flights even later which made me miss a meeting that I was scheduled to be at. All because you didn't have the crew needed to check in.

Pros: I haven't traveled by air for a number of years, it had gotten to be so crazy at checkin. Well imagine my surprise when I was checked in within five minutes of arriving at the airport. KAYAK took care of everything. All the flights were on time, I received email updates along the way and I am so happy I'm planning my next trip already.

Cons: Having to change my seat to accommodate a rude belligerent passenger, who had taken my seat, refused to move until spoken to by steward. She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced.

Cons: We had booked business on our flight to Milan, and it was extremely disappointing that on this sector they put us on the last seat in the back of the plane. There were plent of seats on this flight that had extended legroom. A bit of a mystery, why Westjet elected to put usin the last seats on the plane?
Cons: Very slow service. I wanted to by several goods from duty free. But crew served only first 20 rows of aircraft.
Pros: KLM Is an impressive flying experience. We enjoyed the comfortable seats, the in-flight entertainment, and the food. The flight attendants are top notch as well.
Cons: The only complaint I have regarding my most recent flight was the incredibly rude service staff whom we experienced at the front counter at check-in. After a harrowing cab ride to the airport in which our driver continuously ignored my request to follow the GPS insisting that he knew faster shortcuts, we arrived 40 minutes later than intended. Additionally he dropped us off at the wrong terminal such that we finally arrived at the KLM gate an hour later than we had planned. This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience.
Cons: Our flight from Nairobi to Lusaka was cancelled for some reason and we did not find out until we happened to log into the website to double check our itinerary. They automatically rescheduled the flight only giving us 25 minutes to reach our next flight...impossible. so, after calling, we were re-booked again and forced into a 13 hour layover in Amsterdam. Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them.

Pros: I have used Kayak for years without issue. This time I was flying SAS for the first time. The plane broke and so that was the first huge delay SAS had terrible customer service. They reminded me several times that I was not a preferred customer and that I had bought my ticket through kayak. This is the reason they gave for lack of help. It was frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure how they expect to gain repeat customers if they treat first time customers like that.
Cons: Everything. Our flight was delayed from our departing city because the plane was leaking water on the floor and they had to send in a special cleaning crew to try to stop it. We were not given the seats we pre picked months before when buying the ticket. The ac was broken for the first half of the flight. Then, we missed our connecting flight because of the first delay. Once we got onto a new connecting flight, it was also delayed and once again, we missed our last connecting flight and are not making it to our final destination today.

Cons: Surprised that Asian airlines typically havr larger and more comfortable seats. The SAS flight was fully booked and you could feel the cramped-ness of it. Also we weren't given the choice of what to have for our meals and were merely handed our food. Lastly, the flight was very, very uncomfortably warm.

Pros: I was running late to my flight, and I found the SAS customer service line exceptionally helpful in helping me make the right decisions regarding how best to deal with the risk of missing my flight. In the end, I made my flight in time, but I found customer service critical in making the best decisions regarding my pre-flight transportation. Additionally, the flight was smooth and enjoyable.

Cons: Normally, I am not picky regarding airline food. In SAS's economy or "Go" class, there is no choice of food. I can think of plenty of dishes that would be appealing to many people. Yet the meal that was served, beef stew, posed a problem as I don't eat red meet. Since many people also do not eat beef due to religious beliefs, I am appalled by SAS's decision to only serve this dish to its economy class passengers. As I ordered my ticket through Kayak, I didn't have the option to request a special diet, nor did I think to do so as airlines generally do not serve serve a beef dish as their one and only.

Pros: Boarding was easy, I'm a Star Alliance Gold member so was able to get on board first. There were significant delays leaving Dulles and our connection was tight, but SAS held the flight so I give them props for that.
Cons: The crew was grumpy and unhelpful, but I can usually overlook that. What really got me was this: YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR BEER & WINE ON THIS INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT! Never in my 25 years of international travel have I seen this from a mainstream carrier. For this fact alone, I will never fly this airline again. You also have to pay to pick your seats in advance.

Cons: Our plane arrived at IAD late due to a minor mechanical that was repaired at its previous destination. Consequently, we departed IAD almost two hours late, causing us to miss our connection in Copenhagen. Norwegian Air had a flight leaving shortly from Copenhagen to Rome, but the transfer agent told us SAS "does not re-book with Norwegian." Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing.
Pros: Technically, since the first leg of my flight was changed I no longer flew this route, but it was through the same airlines and they fixed my issues no problem.

All in all, the flight attendants were rude and unwilling to accept any ownership in the poor conditions of this 9 hour flight.

Cons: Started off by being 40 mins delayed. Not bad, compared to the 4 hour delay I had going to Vancouver. Flight was super uncomfortable. Upon arrival to Toronto. The gate had ice on it. So we had to wait in the plane for over an hour before we could get to a gate and off the plane. And then the entire plane of people (300-400 people I believe?) had to wait for our bags to come out for TWO HOURS! Meanwhile flights from Vancouver that we’re supposed to leave after us , left before us, got there before us, and got their bags before us. Horrible trip. I could not believe how unprofessional and unprepared Air Canada and the Toronto airport was during the holidays!
Cons: The aircraft was so small there was not enough room for even most standard size carry-ons. The crew were not patient and gave passengers attitude for trying to bring their carry-ons onboard. On the way back from Toronto, we were sitting on the runway for more than one hour waiting for "de-icing". If this is a recurring thing, why not time the arrivals and departures better to avoid making people sit there, disconnected from everything and waiting? Also the screen on my "entertainment center" was broken but thankfully I had my own book to read. Air Canada has not had the most welcoming crew or most up to date fleet in my experience; I fly with them mostly because of their cheap fares. I guess "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch".
Pros: I usually have a smooth experience with Air Canada. Haven't had any problems on board. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with my baggage.
Cons: The check-in person said my baggage (oversized, and a keyboard) would make it through to my final destination even though I had another flight on a separate reservation. I specifically asked because I wanted to know if I needed to pick it up when I landed after the first leg in Toronto. He said I'd only have to go through customs and my bag will make it all the way home to Vancouver. Well, I felt weird about it and when I got off in Toronto I noticed that my baggage receipt said Toronto on it (not Vancouver). I decided to forego the connections gate because I was unsure. Lucky that I did because lo and behold, my keyboard bag was waiting for me at baggage claim. Had I trusted the check-in guy, I would've possibly lost over $1000 worth of equipment. That's not something that can easily be forgiven.

Cons: the cabin of the plane on the return flight didn't have any air conditioning running during boarding and it was uncomfortably hot because it was about 85F outside. the crew only bothered to inform us of the issue when a poor hungover guy behind me asked about it because he was suffering... as were we all. plane didn't get comfortable until over 30 minutes in, at which point we were beginning our descent anyway.

Cons: The flight was delayed. Not necessarily the crews fault. But frustrating as our flight both to and from Washington was delayed both ways.
Pros: There were a couple guys sitting behind us who kept asking the stewardesses for more beer and more wine. And the stewardesses kept giving them for what they asked (free). These guys became loud - as drunks do. It was annoying as we couldn't hear the movie we were watching because those guys were so loud. Any alcohol being served out of meal time either should be charged or put a limit of two max.
Cons: Terrible flight. I should have driven instead. Flight was suppose to land at 12:30pm but due to computer malfunction we landed at 7pm.

Perhaps the staff should be managed better the timing. Lucky yyz is my destination, otherwise i would have missed the connecting flight. Waiting for 30 mins is too long. Also the staff stopped for another 10 m in ns to take care of something else. I thought one staff should only take care of one passenger at a time. It showed unprofessional gesture. Btw I didn't get ckeck in email for my return flight to YYZ.

Cons: My girlfriend and I booked our flights about 10 months in advance and had selected seats next to each other for all of our Air Canada Flights. Somehow all of these seats were changed without an update to us. We did not sit together at all on any of our flights and were put in middle seats, which is not what we originally requested. We were both very upset with this as some of these were long flights.

Pros: This was an economy flight for the weekend. Everything was perfect except I believe the airlines policy of charging for checked baggage is leading people to take advantage. We were delayed briefly just for people trying to get way too much carry on baggage into the overhead compartments.
Pros: nothing particularly spectacular. The entertainment on the place is much better than most (since most don't have it) for such short flights.
Cons: The place was delayed for over an hour for a 'maintenance issue' - what I dislike is lack of information being shared from the plane to people at the gate. Also when we are delayed for the airlines fault - customers should be given something - anything - a small voucher, or even a drink ect., this is not a weather issue. I think airlines have too much power making most terrible at customer service - air Canada is one of the worst ones.

Since I go to Canada only rarely, I ended up essentially losing the money I spent for train fare and having to pay another $145 for the rental car. Got to Quebec at 11:30 p.m. instead of 3:55 p.m. Not happy.
Pros: 1) Skycap service for boarding at Reagan National was exceptional. I requested wheelchair assistance for this return flight and the attendant gave 100% service, getting me through security and on to the boarding gate lounge area in short order. He was very pleasant and very helpful. 2) The pilots did a good job of flying, The flight was smooth as was the landing. We left Reagan a few minutes late but arrived at Pearson 16 minutes early. I liked that!
Cons: 1) I paid extra money for a "preferred seat" because my recent hip replacement surgery required that I have ample leg room while sitting. Leg room for the first row econonomy seat I got was barely adequate. I felt cheated out of the $15 I paid for the seat (which should have been complimentary, in my opinion 2) Food service was terrible. For a 1 o'clock flight, having to get to the airport 2-3 hours ahead of departure, meant that I was in need of some serious food, not the tiny package of pretzels and the cup of tea I got. Even a couple of cookies or a muffin would have been a better offering. 3) The wheelchair assistance that I requested did not materialize for me on arrival at Pearson. I felt so cramped from sitting that I was eager to get up and try to walk, no matter how slowly, the distance to Customs and through to the exit gate to wait for my ride home. That's what I did, and I never saw a wheelchair attendant coming with a wheelchair as I exited. That is poor service! I am comparing this to the excellent service I got with American Airlines on the first leg of my trip from Toronto to DC.
