The flight was just fine

The main problem was that when I checked in online, I tried to add on more piece of luggage—for a total of 2 checked in. But the computer ended up totaling it as 3 pieces of luggage. There seemed to be no way to change this online. So I asked them to change it when I got to the airport, but they wouldn’t. What was done couldn’t be changed. Another issue I have is with this review questionnaire. They are questions for rating the food and entertainment which the airlines don’t provide anymore. These should be removed from the survey. They should, however, ask how was the process of making the reservation, check-in, and customer service in general. Both from the airline, and any third party service like kayak or kiwi. I’m not satisfied with kiwi as they were closed when I tried to call them. So I had to just fend for myself and spend money needlessly.

Interjet refused to cancel a flight to JFK on January 4th 2018, JFK was closed that day until the next morning because of a Hurricane Blizzard in NYC. All flights to JFK were cancelled that day, nontheless Interjet maintained that our flight was "On Time" even though this was clearly impossible. They obviously refused to cancel the flight so they could run out the clock on their customers, refuse to re-book anyone, force everyone to sleep in the airport overnight til they could sort out their flights home. We were forced to purchase new flights home on a different airline, at great expense. This is a desperate and criminal manipulation of airline regulations, and we do not accept this behavior.

Very poor policy alerting and supporting customers when my flight was camcelled due to a snowstorm at JFK. No notice. No meaningful communication as to next flight. Had to visit the airport 3 additional times in person before I was accepted on subsequent flights. Phone customer service offered no help accept to assign a useless ticket for 4 days later. Once on board everything was what you'd expect from a budget flight. Nothing more. Seats were basically metal frames with some fabric attached. Poorer then the usual coach class but nothing I'd really complain about. Also if you order through Kayak, interjet treats you differently then direct customers with 1-2 hour hold times on the phone. You become second class. Kayak does zero advocacy and puts all the work of rescheduling and fighting for a seat on the next plane completely on you. Be aware.

We got to our destination

Everything else. Check-in was horrendously slow, customer service nonexistent, they checked in our carry on so they could charge for overweight, and I was forced to board while I was waiting for food only to wait a whole another hour before we actually took off. Flight was delayed 1.5hrs

If you want to ensure that you don't make it to your destination on time, fly Aeromexico / Delta (Sky Team) and you will get your wish. We flew from San Francisco to Oaxaca with a stop in Mexico City. We got to SFO and the Delta agent at the Aeromexico desk gave us tickets that said STB for seats on the Mexico City - Oaxaca leg. She assured us that they do this for our own good. BULLSHIT. She gave my seats to my friend who checked in minutes before me. (we were in a group of 10 friends) In the end, 4 of 10 of us got stuck in Mexico City and had to wait for another flight to Oaxaca because we had no seat assignment. They told us that they are allowed to legally overbook the flight and they sure do. When we returned home, nearly the same thing happened and 2 of us had no seat assignments. Luckily everyone got on the plane but how can you fly with an airline that most assuredly will give away your seats. You just show up to the airport and HOPE to get on the plane? That has never happened to me flying in the US or all over the rest of the world.

Could not get boarding passes for connecting flights from Mexico City with your PARTNER airline Delta. Some people in our party were able to get the passes and some were not. Baggage was tagged only to Atlanta and NOT to the destination city, BOSTON. In Mexico City were were very stressed by having to find the DELTA desk and to obtain the needed boarding passes, There was a very short time window between the flights and it was a mess.

The whole experience! Customer service was excellent and the staff were very polite, helpful and curtious. We were apprehensive (because it is a new company) we are so happy we decided to book with Interjet. We will be sure to fly with Interjet again!!

We wish you had more destinations. We would have booked our return flight but we are flying out of Merida Mexico. We are considering taking a bus back to Cancun so we can fly back to Vancouver BC Canada but we will wait and see. The check in baggage price seemed high but we take that back as we were both allowed our carry-on without a fee, so $34.00 was more than fair! Thank you for such great service! I was flying to Mexico City on the second day after the snow storm in NY, I couldn't check-in online in advance as its web page said that I had to check in at the desk 3 hrs in advance. When I got to the airport, the line was not very long at the check in desk at first, but moved very very slowly. When I finally got there, I was told my flight had been cancelled and they moved me to a flight 5 days later. While I understand that it is tough for airlines since quite a lot of flights were cancelled the previous day due to the storm, but moving my flight to 5 days later without any email/text communications is totally unacceptable. Or even if they had allowed me to check-in in advance, I could have know the status better before heading to the airport.

they delayed from 04:45pm to like 11:15pm, the worst part is, they never tell you when the flight is gonna take off. so we just waited without knowing if we can leave nyc or not. Landed on mexico city airport around 4am local time, and took another hour to finally get out of the gate. btw, the entire mexico city airport is so smelly at that time. first time here, really really bad experience.

They had good movies in the plane

There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future.

Once in Mexico problem started accuring the flight from Mexico to Oaxaca was a problem aeromexico wanted to charge my mom an extra $1000 doller on top of the 600 that I paid for the round trip ,just so she could leave Mexico city to aeromexico. My mom had to buy an aditona ticket just so she could get to Oaxaca from belta. Thanks to belta she was able to get to her destination. But now she has to tickets that I paid for that she can't even us. All in all I don't recommend this airline

While I understand that it is tough for airlines since quite a lot of flights were cancelled the previous day due to the storm, but moving my flight to 5 days later without any email/text communications is totally unacceptable. Or even if they had allowed me to check-in in advance, I could have know the status better before heading to the airport.

The plane was late coming to Mexico City, so we left later than scheduled.

One piece of luggage was left in Mexico City, but they got it on the next flight to Oaxaca and delivered it to where we were staying a few hours later.

Very poor policy alerting and supporting customers when my flight was camcelled due to a snowstorm at JFK. No notice. No meaningful communication as to next flight. Had to visit the airport 3 additional times in person before I was accepted on subsequent flights. Phone customer service offered no help accept to assign a useless ticket for 4 days later. Once on board everything was what you'd expect from a budget flight. Nothing more. Seats were basically metal frames with some fabric attached. Poorer then the usual coach class but nothing I'd really complain about. Also if you order through Kayak, interjet treats you differently then direct customers with 1-2 hour hold times on the phone. You become second class. Kayak does zero advocacy and puts all the work of rescheduling and fighting for a seat on the next plane completely on you. Be aware.

All flights to JFK were cancelled that day, nontheless Interjet maintained that our flight was "On Time" even though this was clearly impossible. They obviously refused to cancel the flight so they could run out the clock on their customers, refuse to re-book anyone, force everyone to sleep in the airport overnight til they could sort out their flights home. We were forced to purchase new flights home on a different airline, at great expense. This is a desperate and criminal manipulation of airline regulations, and we do not accept this behavior.

The whole experience! Customer service was excellent and the staff were very polite, helpful and curtious. We were apprehensive (because it is a new company) we are so happy we decided to book with Interjet. We will be sure to fly with Interjet again!!

We wish you had more destinations. We would have booked our return flight but we are flying out of Merida Mexico. We are considering taking a bus back to Cancun so we can fly back to Vancouver BC Canada but we will wait and see. The check in baggage price seemed high but we take that back as we were both allowed our carry-on without a fee, so $34.00 was more than fair! Thank you for such great service! plane is new

they delayed from 04:45pm to like 11:15pm, the worst part is, they never tell you when the flight is gonna take off. so we just waited without knowing if we can leave nyc or not. Landed on mexico city airport around 4am local time, and took another hour to finally get out of the gate. btw, the entire mexico city airport is so smelly at that time. first time here, really really bad experience.
