Cons: "Flight was delayed out of St. Louis causing several of us to miss our connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Portland. Delta was of very little help in assisting us in making a connecting flight. They could have at least helped with travel arrangements and provided us with a little food, a pillow and a blanket as we waited in their terminal for the next flight on their airline which was a several hour wait. I understand these things happen but the passengers didn't cause the problem and Delta needs to take care of people better if they expect to earn repeat business."

Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Food, there has got to be something else out there other than pretzels, I understand why we do not have peanuts, but a little bit more variety would be very nice. I understand there's a cost tractor, but often pretzels tend to be fairly stale. Short flights entertainment."
Cons: "i decided to purchase a separate direct flight at a different time instead of changing my flight, only to be informed later when i tried to hop on the back end of my original flight, that they had canceled my ticket since i hadnt boarded on the front end of that flight. i had spoken to a customer service rep about my option before purchasing the extra ticket, and she did not mention that this would be an issue. then i had to pay extra to get back on my original flight."

We were booked on another flight 8 hours later which meant we got in late enough that I had to miss another day of work. The Spirit agent at the gate in Las Vegas was also extremely rude. I also didn't get any phone or email updates."

Pros: "All went well. We took off on time and landed 9 minutes early. Our bags came out shortly after we got to baggage claim. The bags were not damaged in any way."

Cons: "I was charged $10 twice for my bag and $10 for my seat, going and coming, since it wasn't a non stop. What a rip off. I had to get off the plane and get back on the plane and sit in the same seat and be charged another $10. NOT A GOOD way to treat customers if you want them to return."

Cons: "It was not clearly conveyed when purchasing the ticket that baggage fees were not included in the base price. Thus, we not only had to pay to check 2 bags and 2 carry-ons for 170$, we also had to pay an extra 100$ because our checked bags were "overweight" at 50lbs (they only accept 40lbs bags) - and this was only ONE WAY. We will have to pay that $270 on our return flight as well. Ultimately our baggage fees cost us 4X more than our two ticket fares combined! Now I wouldn't call that a "bargain" by any means - we could have gotten two first-class tickets on delta for the total amount we ended up paying. We will never fly spirit again and will ultimately think twice when booking through kayak. What a bummer."

Cons: "It took over 48 hours to get from Detroit to Denver due to weather and security issues. The fact that these issues came up is not necessarily the fault of Spirit but Spirit did not offer any conveniences or accommodations while I had to wait for the issues to be resolved."

Spirit overall has poor customer service but this shocked me. Although Olivia who worked that same evening was amazing. I've been flying for 25 years and had never had an issue with any of the dozens of airlines I've been on even more budget airlines than spirit. This is my second time flying Spirit and I will NEVER make the same mistake again."
