Cons: "I liked everything except the airplane itself, which I hated. I was fortunate enough to get an exit row on my long flight going over; I did not get lucky on my way home. The flights between Zurich and Brindisi were more comfortable than the long haul flights. The long haul flights are abominable and should be outlawed by governments as they are currently configured. The boy next to me literally could not fit his legs/thigh bones in the space provided by his seat. I did okay as I am not tall, until the woman in front of me decided to lean back. It is not her fault, however, though I thought nasty things about her and periodically tried to dig my knees into her back to get her to lift up her seat. The fault belongs entirely to Swiss Air, which chooses to treat human customers as steerage. The only thing that made the experience worse was the impossibility of choosing my seat online for my return because I had only a smart phone with not-great wifi available. Choosing one's seat should not be dependent on having good wifi and a computer, however. It is bad practice to "sell" seat choices. The families around me were not able to sit together because of this shoddy, greedy practice on the part of the airline. It is also not fair, subsequently, that other passengers are faced with giving up the seats they've chosen, or been given, to assist families in sitting together. Honestly, the extent of the greed on the part of airlines nowadays is astonishing. What used to be a thoroughly enjoyable way of traveling has become an ordeal at best."

Cons: "Because there was no way for us to check in early or online and they did not send us an email directing us to do so, they put us on standby even though the flights were paid for months before. We couldn't sit together--they wouldn't even try, they let the computer do it randomly as we boarded. They put my son through ridiculous strip search security measures, and when my passport fell into to the steel bullet of a garbage can, they didn't help and my son and I figure out how to go through it to get my passport. They could not have been more unhelpful. Plus the food was terrible, and delays both in taking off and getting to the gate. I will NEVER fly Swiss Air again."

Cons: "We got to Rome airport 4 hours before to not miss flight! They booked us with 45 min to connect in Zurich. Then flight from Rome kept getting delayed with no explanations. We got to Zurich with 30 minutes to go. We literally ran to get to gate E. We got no help from Swiss employees and got to our gate with 10 min before flight. They said gate was closed. Went to transfer desk, next flight was next day at 1 pm. Missed very important meeting at work that I had planned around for months. Very upset and disappointed. Felt they could have helped us a lot more and got us on our flight."

Cons: "I had such a miserable experience getting to Florence on Swiss Air that I sent a letter of complaint WHILE ON VACATION!! Really. It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

Put on the spot to give up my seat for a couple with a 6 month old infant due to the fact that the attachable bassinet had to be in front of the D seat. Neither the parent or myself felt very good about my displacement."

I am flying with swiss every month between Zürich and New York but a lot of Ines I get a shitty seat even if I am silver status As a frequent flyer I expect a priority handling which is not the case . No upgrade poaaibility due to wrong booking class (even if flights are very expensive) if this continues to go that way I will change airline alliance This is more a miles and more issue but it is really annoying me in a way that I really consider changin"

Pros: "The larding was terrible. I came in a wheelchair but am able to walk short distances. I spoke to man at the gate about boarding early and he said he would come and get me. But he did not and I had to push and shove with everyone else as their is no plan. Awful! Service was good. Lots of water and juice brought round in the night of"

Then during the flight they kept the air flow down to a minimum so again it was boiling hot. DON'T FLY Swiss Air if you like normal temperatures!"

Cons: "My entertainment system would not turn off, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I asked a flight attendant for help and she said she would reset it. However, the reset did not work and she never came back to verify whether or not it had solved the situation. I finally gave up and put a blanket over the screen. Furthermore, the meal service was very slow. It seemed as if most of the staff was very young and likely inexperienced. Perhaps it would be better to mix younger, less experienced staff with more seasoned staff. I flew three other Swiss flights during my European vacation and the service was much faster. Incidentally, most of the staff on these other flights were older and probably more experienced."

A five or 10 minute wait would have been one thing, but a 45 minute wait is another, particularly if there are older passengers or small children who have to wait."

The connection gate staff were rude and forced me to check my hand luggage (even though I am disabed and first to board), which had all my medicines in and my computer. The flight wast full and didnt see any other bags gate checked, and there was a bunch of room in the overheads, they werent full. Then to add salt to the wound when we arrived our luggage was dripping water (and it wasnt running at our destination it was at the connection) several clothes were ruined or needed cleaning. As I was on the way to my fathers funeral this was an added pressure that I didnt need."

When the hostess came, she spoke to the white lady sitting next to him, the person told her it is not be that ranged it is him. He wants water, she walked away did not speak to him and never gave him the water. The only food they served was pasta. If you don’t eat that no other options. They will pump you off a flight that you purchased because they are over booked and expect you to be ok with it. No customer service at all."

My entertainment screen froze about 2 hours into the 9 hour flight and they couldn't/didn't reset it though I asked several times, so I read a book instead. I will say this was the exception flight out of the other 3 I have had with Turkish. On those, I encountered no issues."

The price was also very reasonable, unlike United or some other major carriers. It says something about your airline when I decide to fly through Istanbul, coming from Rome, to go back to the US. It's a longer flight but it's a worthwhile one. Thank you and keep up the good work."

More leg room needed for Americans & Europeans above average height. Larger water bottles should be passed out before sleeping hours. Each passenger needs a personal fan. Temperature was too warm. Gate agents in Istanbul had a very confusing set-up to get on plane. Gate agents not empowered to help passengers with all issues that arise. We left item at gate in Catania, & gate agent unable to offer any help or detailed guidance to help us work to get it back."

Cons: "Even in "world business class" the pods are very small and cramped and there is no room to put a carry on bag even something as small as a headphone box. Also the business class bathroom was very small, very disgustingly dirty when we boarded (someone tried to clean it a bit) and dirty and small throughout the flight. The bathroom does not have ventilation and the toilet basically does not have any liquid for flushing!"

I selected our seating at the time of purchase, checked 24 hours in advance & checked at the front desk before going to our terminal and we still had the seats I selected at all those points. I heard names being called while we waited for our plane, but ours was never called. It wasn't till we boarded that bells started going off & our seating was changed. I spent 8 1/2 hours in pain!"

Also mt destination country was not in the list of countries and there was no way to fill it in. The check- in agent in Cairo was cheeky and unhelpful. I was told I couldn't get the aisle seat assignment that I had selected online when attempting to do the online check in. The crew also stated I couldn't switch to an aisle seat because " we are completely booked" although all 3 rows in front of me had empty aisle seats all the way from Cairo to Frankfurt so I was stuck in a middle seat which the person in front completely reclining their seat for 4 hrs. At 5'10" it was not only uncomfortable but a painful flight. Things improved somewhat from Frankfurt to Miami but was still pretty tight due to the reclining seats. Luckily I got an aisle seat on that leg and the middle seat next to me was open. There was no entertainment on the Cairo to Frankfurt leg."

And it was for an adoption appointment with a judge in Riga, and we barely made it."

What's wrong with vanilla or chocolate, a more neutral, well-liked flavor? The dinner was over spiced and looked unappetizing. The breakfast look like someone threw up. I hate to sound so negative, but it was really awful. The flight, itself, was fine. Nice crew and smooth trip."

Pros: "A fast, smooth, and easy flight with a polite and efficient crew. The Frankfurt airport needs some type of internal transportation or reorganization because the size and shape make it a challenge to go through passport control and find your gate in time to transfer."
Cons: "The snack consisted of sugary packaged cookies. After waking at 6 a.m. to catch my flight, I would have preferred plain yogurt with fruit or muesli, or at least a nutritious nutty bar such as the KIND brand. The boarding consisted of everyone standing in a disorganized line next to another long line so that I was not sure if I was in the right place and felt nervous as the time to board drew near. Staff did not seem to be communicating what was happening and were not circulating. I had to ask fellow passengers if I was in the right line and on the right bus. We pushed away from the gate early. This worked against me at the beginning of my vacation when I missed my flight by 5 minutes due to the disorganized nature of the Frankfurt airport and its massive size."

Pros: "Got to sit in the top deck of the A380; Luftansa sets aside a small portion of the top deck for economy passengers. Flight was much quieter for economy passengers than on any other plane I've ever flown because the top deck is further from the engines. It was an extraordinary flight."

Cons: "On my flight from Seattle to Frankfurt I had one stewardess repeatedly skip me. She was a bit older. I thought after the first overlook she would take extra care but did not. This resulted in me having to ask the crew to repeat their previous steps just for me. "Hi, I know you are serving coffee but I wanted red wine". She was a bit clipped about having to repeat steps but what was I to do? She never looked up enough to see my hand and clearly didn't look at my face. She also didn't pick up my hand towel. I essentially had to rely on the rest of the crew but the care from this lady started to feel purposefully negligent of me. The rest of the staff was friendly and efficient. I also thought we were supposed to get an appertiff...one was never offered. Couldn't check in online. Was fine once I got to the countr but could you trade space with Asia air? It makes sense to have them at the end as they have a huge hoard of people it would be nice not to have to go through and several spots to check in. Check in at the desk otherwise was smooth and professional."

Cons: "I was seated next to a family with an autistic child. Because they had checked in late, they were seated separately. The autistic child was unsetted by having to sit separated from both parents, causing quite a commotion during the whole flight. I couldn't rest during the whole flight. Lufthansa should do a better job with accommodating the needs of special cases like this, preferably when they book the flight or before they board. SFO boarding was slow and confusing. There was a backup being caused by having to seat 6 or more passengers in a wheelchair. Then, I followed signs for boarding in Economy, which was at the front of the A380. I was forced to the aisles to the back of the plane, where I prompty collided with other passengers that were boarding the rear entrance of the plane. Why wasn't I just asked to board from the rear entrance to avoid the congestion?"

Cons: "Seat pitch is miserable, amplified failings in food and internet access."

Cons: "I had tried to postpone my return date, but found it extremely inconvenient dealing with vayama, the service Kayak linked me to. I had to call them at their Amsterdam office to arrange a different itinerary, only to be emailed in the middle of the night with the news that that itinerary was no longer available, and a replacement one would cost much more. Sadly, I was not able to deal with Lufthansa directly. Doubt I would use vayama again."

So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."

Cons: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

Pros: "Comfortable flight to Amsterdam for vacation in UK. More meals than expected. Also wasn't expecting some of the comforts offered to "regular" class seats like eye masks, ear plugs, pillows and blankets. It was an overnight flight, so maybe that should have been expected, but I don't think we had those 4 years ago when traveling overseas."
