Boarding was also challenging as multiple people had to walk to the rear of the plane to store roller bags, and then travel back 'upstream' to their seat; one of the flight attendants became slightly testy when assisting these passengers back to their seat."

Cons: "As I came into the airport I went to a kiosk to check in and the attendant at the kiosk basically took over my passport and started pushing buttons that I never asked her to push. I eventually got my boarding passes only to find I wasn’t assigned a seat for the first flight and I will get it later at the gate. After getting through security my name was called for a extra security screening which I thought was interesting since I have Global Entry and am an American citizen. Weird. Because my name was called I had to get to the gate early. Upon arriving to the gate the gate agent confirmed I have extra security screening and she would assign my seat soon. After waiting some time she assigned me to a middle seat in the last row of the plane! After boarding someone came and sat next to me that was overweight and should have been charged for 2 seats. With such a long flight it’s the least American can do."

We barely made our connection to London. People who are 59 should NOT have to run through a huge airport! We spent a lot of money and planned this trip for nearly a year. There were no updates from Kayak. I will use Expedia from now on."

Cons: "Gates are way too far apart in Miami and the golf carts to get between areas seem to require reservations and long waits. Ridiculous. Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). American stripped my group of our seat assignments (which we had selected 6 months prior) without reason and with minimal apology. No solution offered. Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed."

They were asked to step in to fly to Denver instead---20 minutes after our scheduled takeoff time; not horribly late, but seemingly disorganized, which leads to all kinds of thoughts about AA overall competence."

Cons: "This was almost a six hour flight there were no televisions available the flight was oversold and there were people on standby there was very little Lego room we were only offered snacks and drinks the crew was stressed we left late because we were instructed to check our carry-ons but that was not enforced until people were already on the plane getting on the plane and getting off the plane took a very long time there was very little leg room it was difficult to move around the plane because it was such a small plane the crew was very stressed out. I am very upset about this flight and will not fly with American ever again."

Cons: "Initial flight was cancelled after 2 hours delay. My next flight was scheduled the earliest possible by AA which was 24 hours later. No transportation,hotel or miles compensation for this. I had work and responsabilities the next day. TThe scheduled trip was supposed to take off at 7:45. Boarding started late and was very slow. My bag fit the meassurements and still was forced to check it (which I did not want to do as I did not want to be waiting an hour for my bag at my arrival as I had work early the next day. In addition there was airplaine traffic as it was "rush hour" instead of flying at 7:45 we departed almost at 9pm!!!! Have to pay for food Quality of tv monitors very poor And in an uncomfortable position No movie options No wifi although stated the aircraft has Non functioning electrical plug"

I never received a check in notification email. It took forever to check in at the airport because the the kiosk took a while to pull up my reservation after asking for additional information. I got stuck with middle seats on 5 hour plus flights when I had actually checked to confirm I could still select a window seat before I booked and did indeed select window seats when I booked."

One of the crew members on our flight he was extremely rude and had no interest in helping you with putting your carry on away and if you have to put any effort he automatically says "you have to check this in" luckily my boyfriend got up and arrange the baggages easily and done. James was obnoxious, rude, and very unfriendly. The entertainment was absolutely terrible. It was a 10 hour flight the movie choices were slim to none. When I took a flight from New York to China and rode United Airlines we had every movie selection imaginable."
Pros: "I was very impressed with the ease of check in and the very professional staff. One woman in particular stands out, she went out of her way to make sure everyone was satisfied. She even remembered my name after meeting me only once, and the flight was fully booked. I really liked the monitors at every seat and the choices of free in flight movies."
