The United Kingdom has reimposed national lockdown.
From January 4, National lockdown in England is in effect. Traveling away from home, including internationally, is restricted from England except in limited circumstances such as for work or for education.
Foreign nationals are subject to the ‘Stay at Home’ regulations. They should not travel abroad unless it is permitted.
Different rules apply in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Travelers must follow all the rules that apply to them.
From November 20, Scotland restricted cross-border travels within the UK, only essential travels—which includes health reasons, work and for study—will be allowed to enter and leave Scotland. People living within Level 3 or Level 4 lockdown areas in Scotland are also not permitted to leave their area, and banned from traveling overseas, though people in Level 0-2 are not.
Travelers who have been in or transited through ared list travel ban countries in the past 10 days are not allowed to enter The United Kingdom with the exception of British nationals, nationals of Ireland, residents of the UK.
Certain areas of the UK and Crown Dependencies may have specific travel regulations. Check the relevant page for information related to travel to Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Shetland, and Orkney.
All travelers entering the United Kingdom must present a completed "Public Health Passenger Locator Form" to immigration upon arrival.
On January 18, all travelers to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, including UK nationals returning home, must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR, antigen or LAMP test result taken within 3 days prior to departure.
Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena), will not be in scope of the regulations. Children under the age of 11 will also not be required to complete pre-departure testing.
Until January 21, travelers from Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia or Barbados will also not be in scope of the regulations.
On January 18, travel corridors will be suspended, all travelers arriving in the UK from any foreign country except Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man are subject to 10-day self-isolation. Travelers can take a test on the 5th day of their arrival, if the test result is negative the self-isolation period will end as soon as they receive the result, they must continue to self-isolate while awaiting for the test result. If the test is positive they need to self-isolate for another 10 days. Count the 10 days starting from the day they took the test, or from when they first had symptoms if that is earlier.
From February 15, British nationals, nationals of Ireland, residents of the UK who have been in or through a red list travel ban country in the past 10 days must quarantine in a government approved hotel for 10 days. They cannot use the Test to Release scheme.

All travelers on flights to the UK must wear face coverings on aircraft and on public transport upon arrival thereafter. Passengers using taxis and private hire vehicles should also use a face covering for the duration of their journey. Drivers may refuse to transport passengers who do not follow guidance for safe travel.
From March 8, passenger traveling abroad will need to carry a new travel declaration form stating that their trip is permitted under UK national lockdown rules. The form must be downloaded, signed before travel, and carried or downloaded onto a mobile phone. Passengers who do not have a valid form may be denied boarding.

Cons: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

Unfortunately, the Delta 767 doesn't offer any upgrade for a wider seat beyond Delta One, and my employer won't spring for that. Too bad there isn't a premium economy option. Also, the entertainment unit in the seat next to mine malfunctioned, which you wouldn't think would impact me that much except that because it was "seeing" touches randomly throughout the flight, the screen would turn on, off, brighter, dimmer, play random stuff, and just generally be as annoying as possible to everyone nearby throughout an overnight flight."

A pleasant flight overall with my first impression being an airline with current popular music playing in the background and flight attendants cheerful. Since I was traveling alone, I opted to not purchase my seat prior to my flight date, instead I chose my aisle seat within 24 hours for free. I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."

VA bag weights are less than Delta and the seat was incredibly cramped. We both had to sit with our legs bowed to the side as the seat ahead was so close. For nine hours we were cramped and could not sleep due to only be able to squeeze into one position. To get into the seat I put on leg in and then sat on the armrest and then brought my other leg up and then lowered my but into the seat. I am not even 6 feet tall and had this issue. So due to the difficult online check-in and seat selection and to the cramped seats we will never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"
