Boarding was too soon because we arrived 10’ after boarding began and they were already giving ‘final call’. We just made it. We were at gate 35 minutes before the flight. Also, the departure communication board did not list the flight at all so we didn’t know boarding had already started.
Boarding and deviating was mediocre. At boarding they have not prioritized Business class. During debarking they prioritized premium economy. Also bus rides both times.
The vietnam airlines app was not able to allow checkin with the confirmation nor with the ticket number. This led to quite a bit of consternation. Speaking with a colleague from Hanoi, he did tell me that their app is not the best. It may be best to inform travelers to only use the link and to plan on checking in at the airport for this airline. The check-in was very easy and the staff were excellent.
Average, not more then that. Cannot compete with Singapore Airlines
Poor. Flight was delay without prior notice. Poor boarding. Poor meal service. Plane was dirty and smelly. Does not worth the money.
The check-in process was great, and I cannot remember the name of the supervisor, but he was good and told us about the transit process very correctly and efficiently and kindly. We were given down access and the overall process was very efficient.
Ensure there is a choice of food for all customers and also enough food
No space in between the seats as per them the average height of human is 5’3” and weight as 55, so seats are designed as per the same. Also, the aircraft was dirty and full of insects
Technical problems checking in. Had to wait a long time while they got things ready.
The flight was delayed and changed of boarding gates without notifying the passengers; no updates on electronic boards. Everyone had to wait for a very long time and tired. No food was served even though our ticket covered a dinner set. I got to my hotel after midnight. Terrible experience with this flight
Flying from Koh Samui to Ha Noi with a layover in Bangkok. Vietjet cancelled flight. When I went to the counter they told me to call from r information. I asked for the number and they said they couldn’t give it to me. Be a little taken back I asked him to repeat that while I was recording on my iPhone. He told me that was unacceptable and called the airport police. I deleted the video but had to deal with a big hassle. Then booked with a different airline. Vietjet wouldn’t refund the ticket. Luckily Chase Sapphire didn’t have a problem with refunding me. Vietjet blows!
Terrible customer service. My last choice to fly now if there is no other options.
The flight was OK, but you need to warn passengers going to Vietnam that the full first, middle and last name needs to be in the issued visa, At least 5 passengers on that pane did not have that. We all had to pay $298 each to some agent to amend the visa. At least one lady could not and was left behind.
VietJet is a discount airline like EasyJet, Flair or Spirit. I flew 3 flights in 2 weeks and all were Airbus 321's. 2 of the flights left and arrived on time and 1 left and arrived about 45minutes late. Seat pitch in economy is 29" but exit row seats have super-generous leg room. There are no power ports or entertainment of any kind. Food is best purchased on-line before the flight but there is a limited selection available in flight - cash only. The aircraft are clean and the airline is run as well as any other airline that specializes in economy passengers.
If there could be simple free food or snack or some entertainment.
Flights on time is good. Crew should take care of passengers more.
Seats too small and tight. Flight attendants don't know how to deal with family with noisy kids on board.

Not a lot of leg room for a long flight. Felt crammed into seat
This was the worst flight (domestic or international) I have taken till date. Check-in and boarding experience at the airport were fine. I understand its a budget airline, still some basic stuff was missing. It's an international flight of almost 5 hours duration however, not even water was served to the passengers. If you need water, you have to go to the Crew Station and ask them for water. I asked him to fill up my own water bottle to which he denied and instead told me that I can have 1 Cup of water. When I informed, that we are total 4 family members needing water, he asked me to bring everyone to the Crew Station. Which I really don't understand. The cabin AC was not working or the temperature was kept at such a high temperature that I (and many others) were literally sweating. When I requested the cabin crew to reduce the temperature, my request was ignored twice. Finally I again had to go the front of the aircraft and ask the crew member to set it to 23. Then it was adjusted and we felt a little better. Overall a disappointing experience. They need to improve on lot of things while still keeping the cost low.
