You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."

But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

Cons: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Pros: "The planes were on time. On our way down to Cozumel. The pilot let me 4-year-old son see the cockpit. Which was AWESOME, they were great As well as the flight crew on the way down. The trip down was terrific, If AA had this level of service all the time I would fly with them all the time."

The check-in process was slow and i was overcharged for my bike, On the way down it was $25 the same price as previous AA flights, On other airlines, it also just counts as a piece of luggage. On the way home i was charged $150 oversized luggage, yet it was <50 lbs and within the size limits. The flight crew was not overall friendly. Very business like and not warm at all. If they were a restaurant i would not be returning. The locks on my bike case were both broken off. the case was not locked. Nor was this done by TSA as they would have left a note as they have previously done."

Cons: "Lost connection because previous flight was too late , had long wait. The space in the seat on the plane were quite small and the plan looked old, or not updated. It didn't have individual screen monitor for entertainment , which I think nowadays is expected; especially for a coast to coast flight."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours, then moved to the next morning at 6am. Before we got to the hotel, the flight was pushed back to 8am. All for mechanical reasons. We've flown this route before, and have had an abnormally high number of mechanical issues. They seem to use older planes for these shorter flights, and it really shows. Technology could really help ease these situations. American's app does not allow you to look at rebooking options, so we had to stand in line for a solid 30 minutes to speak to an agent. Since it was the last flight of the night, there were only 3 agents there to help an entire plane's worth of people. Calling American didn't help. They couldn't help with hotel/food vouchers. These types of vouchers seem like something else that could be distributed through the app or electronically, eliminating the need to stand in line and grow increasingly frustrated. To add to the fun, the vouchers were not event enough to get a hot dog and drink for dinner, then a coffee and pastry for breakfast. Once we got the vouchers, trying to get to the hotel was a disaster. They had 1 van, so they could get about 10 people every 30 minutes. We just took and Uber, and were eating in the restaurant by the time others were still arriving from the shuttle. There was no one from American there to help coordinate with the hotel or shuttle. We were like blind sheep wandering around looking for the van. Finally, arrive for the flight the next day, and they start boarding about 10 minutes before the 8am takeoff time. So, of course, we were late getting off the ground. Then, when we arrived in Dallas, our gate was occupied by another plane, so we got to sit on an old plane for an extra 30 minutes until another gate opened up for us. Really, other than crashing, not much else could have gone wrong. Made American look completely incompetent...which is happening more the more we use them. Next time, I'll pay a higher fare to fly with Southwest."

Also had that wonderful experience of learning after boarding that you need to have downloaded the app to be able to reach any entertainment options. And, nowhere to plug the device to keep it alive. I didn't realise that AA was competing with the budget airlines like Rouge now..."

I usually pick American over other airlines even if the price is slightly higher but after this last fiasco I doubt I will fly with them again. From the start of the trip there was a delay. I was told that I would have to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because I would miss my connecting flight. I agreed and waited for my flight that was nearly 2 hours late. I arrived in Charlotte and retrieved my bag as instructed and went to the counter. The lady then stated that it was probably best if I tried to get on the last remaining flight even though it showed sold out because "there have been delays all day and plenty of people have been missing their connecting flights". So I rechecked my bag and headed to the game. This flight was delayed, as it was the last for the night, so that all the connecting flights could be made. Okay, that is fair enough....even though I didn't get to board and now I no longer had my bag as this is now on the plane. 30 minutes after the plane left I finally get my voucher for motel along with a $12 voucher for food that can only be used in the terminal restaurants......which are now closed for the night. After 30 minutes of trying to contact the hotel for shuttle information I was advised that they were no longer taking airline vouchers. I , again, approached the ticket counter and I was advised that I "would just have to wait because there are no rooms in the system at this time." And none of this instruction seemed professional or accommodating. After another hour I was approached that now there are no other options in their system for accommodations and I would have to pursue options on my own. So......the higher priced one way ticket just became $100 more at no fault of my own."

Pros: "Flying on American Airlines like many other airlines is a frustrating experience. The added charges for baggage and seat choice are insulting when you are used to flying on southwest. It should all be covered when buying a flight. The people lining up at the door to get on the plane spill out in to the hallways and block traffic trying to get by. Southwest airlines has a number system to get on the plane and therefor avoids the crowding the entrance to get on before all the overhead space is taken. I really think american could learn a lot from Southwest airlines. I will when possible avoid this airline if there is a flight with southwest."

Pros: "Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused."
Cons: "So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat."

I made a couple of calls and was finally able to get a contact email address for malik.haruna@dlh.de. He is the gentleman at the NAHCO AVIANCE office. He was not only very professional but went over and beyond corresponding well and was able to get the word across to the Malabo Airport where the flight finally terminated. My pair of glasses was returned from Malabo to Nigeria where I picked it up within a couple of days. I was so overjoyed at this display of fantastic customer service. Great job by the excellent team at Lufthansa. I'm going to remain with Lufthansa for future trips. Signed OF."

Pros: "From the start our trip was awesome. Everyone from the shuttle driver to the pilots to the ground crew the flight crew Etc were extremely friendly and very very helpful. I was traveling with a first-time flyer and he was impressed extremely impressed this is the second time this year that I've flown with United and I will continue to fly United thanks to all of you for help making this trip perfect"

Pros: "I arrived safely at my destination."
Cons: "I fully understand that weather and accompanying delays are unpredictable at best. But to be updated every 30 minutes over what turned into a 3 hour wait was frustrating. I appreciated the updates, but I could have done lots of fun things if I'd known the time would end up being 3 hours. Maybe you could work on the accuracy of your delays and how long it will really take. The flight attendants seemed as though they didn't even want to be there."

Pros: "Boarding was good"
Cons: "I asked for a glass of water and no one brought it. Then at the end I complained and it seems that nobody cared. They did not even apologized!!"

Pros: "Crew was friendly and courteous."
Cons: "Flight was overbooked. Also, passengers crowded the boarding area which made it difficult for me, as a passenger with a disability, to navigate and board easily."

Cons: "PA system delayed the flight to cancellation. Waited all day until they said we should consider switching our flights. Missed our connector. Had to red eye in to an entirely different location and drive straight to work because the mess. Awful."

Cons: "United canceled my reservation without any explanation. The Worst customer service ever!!!!"

Cons: "I was delayed three days. The airline did comp me food vouchers which were useless. They gave me five food vouchers at 10$ per voucher which expired at midnight well it was 10:30 pm when the airline issued them. They comp my two night stay at a hotel which in turn charged my credit card not only with the comp rooms but a various other charges. Then I had to cancel my card and file a claim with my credit card company. The airlines are now nothing but a public bus in the sky. The only thing missing is the panhandlers. Oh also I had no clean cloths or personal items. They made it to my destination on time. So all in all it was a terrible experience with United airlines. It will be a cold day in hell before I choose united airlines to fly me anywhere."

Cons: "Very confusing boarding, multiple flights in same gate with no obvious line. Plane interior very bare-bones, not updated in any way for comfort or ergonomics. No entertainment or food available, though it was a short flight. Plane responded terribly when we hit significant turbulence."

Cons: "* Lack of information on what ended up being almost a one hour delay from the departing gate. * Sat on tarmac for 20-30 minutes waiting for a gate to open up."

Cons: "We arrived at Miami Airport 2 1/2 hours before our flight as request by your airline request only to find no staff .to check luggage. We waited an hour along with 60 other people before any of your staff decided to come to work. I walk with a cane and there were several seniors would had to wait in line. I think it is ridiculous that you do not have staff at the kiosk for your early morning flights. This type of service is unacceptable!"

Pros: "I liked the convience of be able to relax and eat while waiting to aboard the plane!"
Cons: "I didn't like that all the seats were taken in the waiting area"

Cons: "The $75 fee for overweight bags is unreasonable. It should be more like $10 for only a few pounds over 50."

Pros: "Roomy seats, lengthy seat belts. Plenty of legroom. Fast flight. Like the A320."
Cons: "Charges for EVERYTHING! Why charge for carryon bags? Your crew does not touch them, yet we have to pay to bring them with us? Why pay for water?"

Cons: "Couldn't move the seat back at all. Couldn't sleep."

Pros: "The seats were comfortable enough. The departure was 40 min late, but the plane eventually landed according to the original schedule, which was nice. The price was very good, even with adding 40$ for too big carry-on."
Cons: "The attendants were talking way too much, making different announcements and explanations almost non-stop. They also organized some kind of reshuffling of people inside the plane due to the need to ... rebalance the aircraft. Never saw it at any other airline."

Cons: "Even though the ticket is cheap, you have to pay outrageous prices for literally everything else. You have to pay to reserve a seat (any seat) otherwise they can separate your family on the plane. You have to pay for drinks (even water) no matter how long your flight. You don't get a free carry on bag and if you don't book the bag before you get to the airport it can cost you north of 45$ to check it. The accommodations themselves were not great. The chairs have no cushioning, don't recline, are so close together that I couldn't cross my legs, and the tray table is 4 inches wide and couldn't even hold my laptop. The flight attendants on both flights were extremely rude and ran into me with the drink cart twice. One of the flight attendants when asked if the AC would be turned on since the flight was pretty warm asked if the woman wasn't just having hot flashes. She was upset tingly abrasive. The flight was delayed on the Tarmac for over an hour because the team couldn't load the baggage on the flight. The flight team didn't give us any explanation of the delay beyond that, they didn't update is on the expected time delay and they never apologized for the delay. When we did finally get going the flight crew was very rude with asking people to sit back down. Worst of all was that after all of that they lost my luggage. Despite a 2 hour layover and 1 hour delay at the gate specifically because they weren't done loading the luggage Frontier couldn't manage to get my luggage from gate 42 to gate 44... The whole experience was awful. I would never fly with them again no matter how cheap the ticket."

Cons: "Cost of check-in bags too high, seats uncomfortable and too close, had to pay extra for my seat (which was not an upgraded seat), no complimentary beverages"

Cons: "They have stripped down the seats of this plane to make more room to squeeze in more rows. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable even for my short 3 hour flight. The try table is less than the size of a half sheet of paper - you simply cannot put your laptop up and work. $35 for a carry on, nickel and dime you for everything including a drink. Last time I will be flying frontier!"

Pros: "we had a sudden storm which required us to hold for over an hour before landing. Crew was very professional and pilot excellent to get us down after an hour and a half delay."

Pros: "I specifically loved all of the crew members on my flights to Orlando and back home. They gave me a few good laughs with their jokes and funny expressions. Another great factor of using Frontier is that they keep you up to schedule with your flight by sending you emails from the morning of until your flight departs to insure you don't miss a gate change or flight delays."
Cons: "The only downfall of using this airline is that the customer is not informed before hand that you have to pay an additional, but small, cost to choose your seat. The customer is also charged for a carry on unlike some other airlines who allow 1 free carry on."

Pros: "I felt deceived by Frontier. I knew paying the low fair I was going to get a bare bones trip. I was fine with paying for my own drink. I cannot believe that the airline is charging $40 bags for a carry on!!!!!! Also I had to pay an additional $27 each so my husband and I could sit together. Shame on you frontier. Of given the choice I will NEVER fly with this airline again. Everyone I tell about my experience has their own negative story to tell about Frontier. I suggest you change your practice before you go out of business. My final cost was double the original price of my original ticket. Just price the ticket as it should be."

Cons: "Paying for a carryon was unexpected; it adds about $35 each way), but you are able to carry a smaller bag at no charge."

Cons: "Bait & Switch or Bait & Pile Two plane tickets priced at 156.00 ended up costing 364.00 because I wanted to sit with my wife and we each wanted to bring one carry-on bag! Refused to pay an ADDITIONAL 45.00 each to sit in comfortable seats!"

Pros: "Loved the pilots humor!!"

Pros: "Pilot was a cowboy, quick taxi and fast flight, arrived at gate 45 minutes early. On a late flight, the early arrival was a welcomed outcome."
Cons: "I checked a hard case fishing rod tube that contained a brand new fishing rod. The case can be opened from the top and side and both can be locked. The side was the only thing locked and top opening had a simple clip on it so anyone could to easily open it up and inspect the inside. Someone cut the side lock off, took the case apart obviously looking for something and then jammed everything back together securing the cut off lock with a zip tie. After I got home late that night I noticed my lock was cut off and rod broken in 2 pieces. Very disappointed, hopefully someone at Frontier reimburses me for the damage."

Cons: "No coffee? tea? really? Leg room minimal Tried to choose seat online but only responded if I selected one costing yet more. Only 1 carry on no matter size Not enough space to open lap top fully with small table."

Cons: "You have to pay ridiculous prices for just about everything. If water wasn't necessary for basic survival they probably would've charged at least 1 dollar per ounce. You can't recline and leg room is scarce."

Pros: "They surprised me at the counter with a 50 dollar carry on fee. It was complete chaos boarding more than usual. The flight was an hour late. The guy at the counter representing them and the attendants were rude."

Pros: "On both fights I was surprised by the overbearing rudeness of the flight attendants. I turned around when I heard a loud female voice chastising someone only to find the attendant speaking to a customer. On my return flight, the pilot came in hot causing the wings to sway wildly when on the ground. The stewardess actually said, over the loudspeaker, "yehaw - we're back in Texas!!" This did not comfort me. Also, I travel alot. This was my first experience on Frontier for years. Not impressed with anything but the price."

Pros: "Polite and Pleasant staff. Clean airplane. Inexpensive ticket. Direct flight. Couldn't ask for anything else. Thanks Frontier!"
