Cons: "So military gets 2 bags comp, but you have to charge them and have then find a gate attendant to reverse the charges, this is highly inefficient. Also in LAS they don't not open the Ticketing area until 2 hours before the flight, this caused a line and a crush when the gates did open. I mean we are told to arrive early to clear security but that is negated when we have to wait and hour just to get checked in and check our bags. Once again this was a highly enjoyable experience, which make these two ares stand out that much more."

Cons: "On my departing flight, I had paid for an extra comfort seat because no first class seats were available, and I was seated in a seat next to someone who occupied part of mine, I did not say anything nor so much care, as I'm sure they were much more uncomfortable than I was. The crew however, was quite rude. They felt the need to physically touch the passenger next to me to awaken them. I am not comfortable with people touching me. When it came time to store my tray, as I was sleeping, again they also touched me. Very inappropriate. Are usually fly Delta, and will continue to do so, as my experience on Hawaiian was very unprofessional and very uncomfortable. The space that I got on my departing flight for an extra comfort seat was not acceptable."

Cons: "The middle aisle section of our plane was quite cold and blankets were expensive $10. Next time I will bring one. I was cold in my jeans and light sweater. The touch-screens at each seat were frustratingly and unpredictably unresponsive. The check-in process in Honolulu Airport for Hawaiian Airlines was hands-down the most time-consuming, confusing, and crowded one I have ever been through. Kiosk screen had too much info at once so even savvy kiosk users were very slow to go through process. We had already checked in online 24 hrs prior but that didnt save us any time as we had to stand in the kiosk lines with everyone else to print our bag tags then another line to just drop our bags. Entering this check-in area was a shock to the system as it looked like a mass of people. We were directed to a vague direction where our line should be, then after standing in that line for 10 minutes we were told by a fellow customer that we had to go to a different line amd basically start over. Then came the security check line. We made it to the front looking the whole time for a designated spot to dump our kids' water bottles out (our San Diego airport has a liquid dumping spot with a sign), to no avail. Finally at the front of the line the TSA agent is about to check our boarding pass and my husband inquires about where to dump the water bottles. The agent and front of the line line is situated less than 10 feet from the wall where a drinking fountain is, but of course in our way there is a plastic half-wall barrier (the one to guide the line toward her). She tells us we have to dump it there in the drinking fountains. However the kicker is we have to get out of line to do it--can't be let out and come back to her. Have to wait in the security check line again. No, I'm not kidding. So I decide to take all water bottles and my husband takes the kids on through the security check. When I come back to get back in the security check line the person working at the entrance of that line actually was asking every single person whether they had water--guess she forgot to ask us the first time we went through... bummer. We had arrived at the airport more than 3 hours before our Tuesday 2pm flight. With stopping to eat lunch in the terminal and going through these multiple lines, by the time we got to our gate, boarding had already begun. Boarding from gate to plane went fine."

Everyone had just finished getting on the plane at this point, and the Captain said it'd be fixed in under an hour, so those who wanted to leave or stay on the plane, could leave or stay. However, for some reason, everyone (+all our baggage) had to get off the plane about 15 after minutes after this announcement, and the flight ended up being delayed by ~2-2.5 hours. There was no compensation."

Pros: "Hawaiian had an issue on my original aircraft, and we ended up having to deplane. Which is fine these things happen. And as a result of the deplaning I missed my original final flight home. Okay, cool. They put me on another one but didn't allow me enough time or give me a real boarding pass so I missed that one. Then I had to go get another flight that delayed me 4 hours. So I finally touchdown home, yay... NOT. CAUSE I DONT HAVE MY LUGGAGE. THESE INCOMPETENT WORKERS OF YOURS DIDNT THINK TO MAKE SURE MY LUGGAGE FOLLOWED ME. Now alllllllll my summer clothing, souvenirs, bras/undies, etc. LOST. Thanks for the worlds worst travel experience."

Honolulu gave us much better service Then San Francisco. The people in Honolulu helped us from the time we exited our car till we got on the plane."
Pros: "I don't travel too often so when I took Hawaiian Airlines, I was pleasantly surprised that they serve a complimentary meal while on board. During my flight, they served chicken with white rice and mixed vegetables, a cookie for dessert and water. Oh, and a complimentary red or white wine to go with your dinner. Not too shabby! Great service by the flight attendants as well."
Cons: "Even though I don't travel often, I feel like I've been on enough planes to know that free TV and movies are essential. Hawaiian Airlines lacked that feature. A few episodes or "series" that they had were interesting but not enough to keep me fully engaged. You had to pay for individual movies ($7.99) and even though it isn't a terrible price for a movie, I still wasn't willing to pay. If movies couldn't be free, then why not the regular TV shows? I think folks would have been okay with TV shows if the options were plentiful."

Pros: "The spacious seats are wonderful. The cleanliness! The movie selections. The incredibly professional, courteous, kind flight attendants. Free meal! (it's a long flight) Being able to buy a half bottle of red wine. The humor of the gate attendant during and after we boarded was a treat. It was a fully booked flight but managed to avoid that pushy, hectic atmosphere while boarding and after. Very peaceful, easy flight along the lines of what Virgin and Jet Blue introduced a decade ago. The flight ended up feeling like part of the vacation. Will always choose Hawaiian in the future."

Cons: "I only had 50min layover. I tried to get wiki shuttle from gate 6 to 26 but I waited for ever so ended up running to gate 26, boy I almost died. I was the last one to board. Of course I couldn't change my seat to aisle because everyone boarded already. Food was horrible, it was cabbage and chicken. Drinks(juice) were small, like shots. I always request aisle for various reasons, I like to get up and walk around because this is my 4th leg of my trip. To top my horrible experience with, my bags didn't make it from my SFO flight to Sydney flight. I wasted time waiting and looking around for my bags and standing in line for missing/lost bags. I arrived here on Sunday and it's now Wednesday morning and I still haven't received my bags yet. Hawaiian better pay me money for the inconvenience or air b points. To be honest this will be my last time flying with Hawaiian, I thought it was just rumors that they are ones of the worst. Hawaiian makes Jetstar looks like a 5 star airline. I'm a frequent flyer and I have flown just about every airlines out there."

Pros: "The staff and crew were just amazing, I traveled with my 83 yr old mom who's in a wheelchair and the staff was with us from arrival to boarding and once boarded, the air crew was helpful and checking up on her often during the flight. The plane was full load of people so it was really hot but the crew came by often with water refill. A lady besides me was coughing a lot and sure enough the stewardess came by with water and to ask if anything she could do without having been summoned. We rented tablets to see movies and I'm not very technological but the stewardess was very patient with me and took time to help me set up and she showed me how to go about in your application. The flights to and from Las Vegas were perfect and all thanks to the wonderful crew you have, even the pilot was standing at the entrance to greet us when we boarded which was great as I got to see who I was entrusting my life to during this 4h38 min flight, quite reassuring. Anyways, UA, Transat and AA take a back seat to Air Canada any day of the week!"

At the time of writing this, I haven't heard anything back from Air Canada on how they plan to reimburse me for the food, and travel to and from the to and from the Airport. Don't fly Air Canada! Hitch hike, it's more dependable than that trash airline"

Cons: "I didn't like that Air Canada didn't give us a voucher to use within the next year due to the illness. She has had tests since we have been home and her doctor told us we made a good decision not to travel. She documented that for us as well. She wrote a note to help us recover our air fee or at least get a voucher...hoping they will change their mind."

Cons: "Due to icy weather we missed our flight from Montreal to Las Vegas Wed Jan 4. Could they not have waited for the delayed flight from Ottawa to facilitate this connection? Many people had to wait overnight in the plastic airport chairs until the next flight at 8am Thurs Jan 5th. At that late hour could not the lights be slightly dimmed, the heavy beat pop music loop discontinued, and a dispensary machine with water, coffee or tea be in the departure area? There was none and the other shops had closed. It was overly bright, noisy and impossible to stretch out on the seats with rigid dividers."
Pros: "The employees recognized our needs, were polite, accommodated easily to french or english, and even told people to clear the boarding area if it wasn't time for their zone to board (a major pet peeve of mine)."
Cons: "No inflight entertainment or food and really small seats. Yeah, you can pay extra for an ipad or to get food, but for most decent flights these days you get at least something to eat for free. Especially on a 7 hour flight from US to CAN. My knees nearly touched the seat in front of me. It wasn't that small of a plane, i just think they really wanted to pack us in. If they removed a row or two and gave everyone just an inch more space how much would that REALLY set them back?"

Now, if you want to guarantee a window seat you have to pay for it. I only did it because my mom advised me to. And I did so because I always listen and respect her advice. It made for a good experience because i like looking out the window. However,I did not appreciate having to pay for it. I believe that since we incur a plethora of microcharges for everything on the plane ticket that it should include picking your own seat without a separate charge. It is likely a matter of time before we will be charged extra for salt on our pretzels."

Though we had checked in online, it still took forever to check in at the counter as the machines could not print out the bag tags, then there was another line up for dropping off the bags. Those machines also could not read foreign passports though Canadian ones were fine. So we had to wait for our friends who were from overseas. The stewardess doing the announcements went so fast you could not hear her except for a few words, and she had a very strong French accent so it sounded like she was speaking in French all the time. But at least she was better than the pilot, whom we could not hear at all. The only word we heard was "cloudy"."

The son was becoming quite agitated because he did not understand what was going on and the gate staff person told the mother to keep him under control as if he wasn't there. It was poorly handled."

Flight from TO to Hfx delayed twice; once d/t no plane available, then the ground crew left so no one to close the plane door from the outside. Had a maintenance issue so sat on the tarmac for way too long. My bag was found & I was told I would receive it the next morning.... NOT!!!"

Had to sleep at the airport. Very poor experience with the Air Canada staff in Las Vegas."

While nothing eventful happened this flight, I felt all the small touches I've come to know about Air Canada are gone. I felt less like a person and more like cattle on this flight then ever before."
