Pros: I’m not sure if I was just lucky or if it was the time of day, but I got to the Las Vegas airport I was at my gate in a matter of minutes, I’ll give credit to the staff for keeping the flow moving. The plane had lots of space I wasn’t cramped and the stewardess was friendly and polite and seemed genuine. Next thing you know in walking out of the plane, out of Long Beach airport. Feels like I waited longer for my ride to pick me up.

Cons: There hasn't; been any consistency with the snack options. some flights have 3-4 options and other flights just 2. I'm have celiac so having gluten free options is always nice but frequently not available.
Pros: Free, fast WiFi is always welcome and helps makes the journey much more civilized. The seats were extremely comfortable, more so than the newer planes in JetBlue’s fleet.
Cons: Only one drinks service, flight attendants were absent for the latter half of the flight and final sweep of the cabin was below 10,000 feet. Drinks not so generously poured. Old plane has tiny low quality screens.

Pros: Friendly crew, comfortable flight as expected. Clear communication by the crew to keep the pasenger at easy, when pilot had to suddenly call off the landing attempt due to unexpected traffic congestion up ahead.
Cons: The delay in departure. The LCD touch panel user interface seems outdated, not very responsive, not easy to use (time for a refresh?). Wanted to check map of current flight path, but took forever to load and couldnt figure out how to zoom in. Seat comfortable, but would be even better if you can add one of those headrest flaps that bends outward on the right and the left edges to lean my head on so that I can take quick naps more comfortably.

They were happy to put me on a later flight and there were many options, and for a very low change fee. I definitely got lucky with availability and really appreciated how painless they made the experience!!!

Cons: The flight was delayed by 1hour and 40 min. One hour at the boarding gate and 40min on the airstrip. Pilot said we were overweight. When we landed at 730 vs 557 we still had a delay because our gate was occupied causing a greater dalay. Due ro this delay I was late to work. The flight attendee making the announcements might have been new because she kept messing up what she was saying and shouting and mumbling through the speaker. I usually have amazing flights with jetblue but I'm highly disappointed with this flight.

Pros: As expected of Delta. With Covid, even the food service understandably was limited. They had prepackaged goodies, albeit not much flexibility, but I had no complaints. Mid row was empty per Covid, for flight comfort, this was somewhat a plus. Knowing air was filtered with HEPA filters every 2 minutes with fresh oxygen and outside air mix was also reassuring.

Pros: Delta is doing such a good job keeping people spread out, keeping masks on, and giving wipes and hand sanitizer out. They gave snacks in individual baggies with hand sanitizer. I felt so much safer than I did on a similar flight operated by American Airlines where essentially no precautions were taken.

Cons: My roundtrip flights with delta were all delayed at least 2 hours. That's what you pay for for a cheap flight. There were no inclement weather and the staff didn't give a reason for the delay.
Pros: When I finally was assigned a seat (after my "Runaround"), I got a slight upgrade: Row 12 was a roomier seat and I got a choice of fruit for a snack.
Cons: Runaround by gate agent: The gate agent was located about 15 yards from the actual gate. I waited there 20 minutes before anyone showed up, to get a seat assignment. When she showed up, she said she would not give seat assignments for another 15 minutes, so come back then. When I came back she said she wasn't giving seat assignments; go see the person checking in boarding passengers at the gate. That agent said she couldn't give me a seat, but watch the monitor for my name for seat assignments, then come back. Why couldn't the first gate agent say that instead of giving me the runaround and wasting my time???

Cons: They claim to be cleaning these planes but I find that hard to believe when there is Gum on the window sill. We were also delayed quite a bit in the boarding process. Also I would imagine that during Covid-19 these companies would do a better job of not overbooking flights but all of my flights with American this past weekend were overbooked. Which delayed us even longer as they searched for volunteers to adjust their flights. In today's age of technology the idea that they are still overbooking planes makes no sense to me in the slightest. I will be walking, driving or taking a boat before I fly American Airlines again.
Cons: For the longer leg of my trip, there was no entertainment. No screens at all! No food besides some dry pretzels on a 5 hour flight and the crew was borderline surly. They were running into people with the drink cart, bumping any edge of arm or leg that was in the aisle, not smiling, not pleasant at all.

Cons: I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home.

Cons: The flight out of RNO early in the morning was chaotic. One of the kiosks was down and the line to self-check was long and moved very slowly because there was only one agent behind the self-check baggage drop. She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway.
Pros: I feel like there is more leg room in the seats then in other discount airlines! I like the snack and drink, this breaks up the flight a bit. This is nice for me because I don’t like to fly.

Pros: Crew was extremely nice. I dont' like to fly and the take off was so rough, I spent the whole flight in the bathroom. The flight attendant gave me ginger ale and pretzels and let me sit in the back so i didn't have to go back and forth. The other flight attendant had aroma therapy that helped a lot but i was just too freaked out. Those two made the flight as nice as possible.

Pros: We had a 1pm connecting flight to SF enroute to Los Angeles and it was suddenly cancelled without any notification. Luckily, Kayak had notified me about the cancellation and we immediately called United to take the next flight out. The earliest was at 5:50pm and we didn’t get back to LA till 7:50pm. The 5:50pm flight was late and therefore push everything out...
Cons: No communication from United... the crew and staff was fine, it was just the lack of communication that was disappointing! Not to mention, I had my dog boarded at Doggy Daycare and I’d missed picking her up due to the late return back to LA.

Cons: I've flown with United before, and I've only had nothing but trouble. Decided to give them one last try, since their flights were a few bucks cheaper. Big mistake. They canceled my return flight last minute, and scheduled a new one over 24 hours later. Thus causing me to have to book a hotel last minute, as well as now being AWOL, since my Leave paperwork only lasted until my return date. Had to explain to the chief why I won't be at formation. I'm saving myself the trouble and never flying united again, even if I have to spend more money. United isn't even reimbursing me for the hotel. They basically told me to go f**k myself and file a complaint. They can eat a d**k.

Outside of being foreign most of the United employees seem like complete morons. Also there was that same bag in front of me. So my legroom was restricted.

One lady in particular was so rude I had to walk away from the desk. The movie on the plane skipped and was unwatchable. I hate this airline and would pay more to fly another one.

Cons: On the 3 hour and 18 minute trip to NY in the coach section the seats have hard plastic armrests and a paded armrest would make your airline the cats meow. Give the coach section a little comfort please.
Cons: The flight was over one hour late in leaving and while I appreciate that is beyond the control of the flight crew, one steward was quite rude as we were quickly trying to board as she prioritized serving the first class cabin rather than get us all on the plane. At the very least she could have used commonly acceptable language such as "please, thank you and excuse me" but rather chose to use "wait". As some of us where desperate to make a tight connection in SF, focusing on getting people on board and the plane off the ground should have been the crew focus.

Cons: I’ve been in uncomfortable seats before on other airlines. However I’ve never been in seats that didn’t recline at least a small degree. When they say Budget airline, they mean it. The plane literally felt like it was going to fall apart on takeoff and landing. Rattling from multiple Compartments and the worst whining of the engine I’ve ever heard. It was a bit unsettling as well as unnecessary. If the mechanics can’t quiet things down and tighten the compartments to stop things from making that much racket then Spirit needs to take the plane out of commission. Not a smooth quiet flight for sure. It would be hard to recommend Spirit airlines to anyone.
Cons: Could not fault Spirit Airline. They are clear and open about extra charges. Joining their reward club is beneficial if doing multiple flights with the airline.

We ended up paying A LOT more for this flight, which is supposed to be a super economy flight. My bad for not understanding how gosh darn cheap this airline is. Had to pay even for carry on and to even get a seat assignment. Thia is NOT a family friendly airline. 4. Web site is all about bait and switch. When I logged on, initial rates low, then when I signed in, all rates increased.
Cons: We paid for the luggage when checking in, arrive to airport had to pay again because "the system" did not see it even we show them the bank statement showing the charge is pending. No even free cup of water for 2h20 long flight. Seat was so uncomfortable, and it remind of meat packing bus in India. My friend get charge $100 per carry on luggage because they "THINK" it was too big even though after you paid you still have to carry it on airplane and fit in the overhead compartment, what a highway robber. We thought we got a deal because the ticket is cheap but they DO find a way, or two, to steal more money from you. Never ever will I flight with this airline again.
Cons: They are cheap, at first, but it will cost you. You have to pay for bags. (If you fly Southwest you don't have to pay for bags). Our flight got canceled. Like many others did. We were stuck at the airport for 12 hours. Their lack of professionalism, customer service and empathy made the experience worse. They're policy is that they do not accommodate - ever. Intel from the airport says they are always having problems. Say they constantly cancel flights and that they come up with different excuses as to why. This time was the storm which had already passed and had not affected many of the destinations people were flying in or out of.

Cons: The plane was delayed for hours. We were originally scheduled to land in Seattle at 12:59 am but didn't get to our destination until 2:30 am. They did give us a voucher for 50 dollars if we fly them again. Not likely at this time. The pre paid baggage fees for the first bag was 39 dollars and this is cheaper than buying it at the ticket counter which the price goes up to over 50 dollars. They are a low fair airline if you don't have luggage, want peanuts or a cookie, a drink or care if you get to your destination on time. The return trip was this one. The original flight took us 6 hours to go from Seattle to Vegas. That was a real bad flight.
Pros: The crew was professional and positive.
Cons: The pilot was helpful in communicating most of the issues but didn't follow up with explanations for all of the issues. I did hear him provide further info in the terminal. That info would have been better if it was heard by all of the passengers. The issues were out of Spirit Air's control. The gate/desk staff could have avoided many problems if they gave an announcement. Instead they had to repeat the same message to most of the passengers trying to find out next steps or a resolution. The line would have been cut by 90%. My biggest issue was all of the extra costs that weren't communicated by Kayak. After incurring multiple extra costs I am NOW aware of the rules.
Pros: The plane seemed to have more room per seat than other airlines I have travelled with.
Cons: The check-in line was extremely long but the stay was working hard to get everyone through in a timely manner. Also pre-check-in was frustrating from the hotel, which may have been an internet connection problem. But when I called to ask a question it was very difficult and frustrating trying to get an actual person on the phone. Additionally he told me it would not cost extra to check-in at the airport but your website said otherwise. You might want tok get the staff and website on the same page.

Most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on (first time with spirit, coincidence?) and the jerk couple in the first class seats in front of me, cause me at 6 foot got put behind first class, kept their seats reclined the whole way back the whole time. It was awful. I had zero leg room. Cramped legs the whole time. Couldn't sleep on the red eye flight because of it. I hate you spirit. Never seen a flight have seats right behind the only damn reclining seats in the whole plane.

(too much). Too much to worry when I want a pleasure travel... 6) I will never travel on spirit for more than 2 hr flight time and that too when i have a great deal (that compensates for seats, luggage etc.,)
Cons: I spoke with a customer service rep and requested to cancel round trip from Seattle to Las Vegas; I was told that they had to be cancelled separately, so I did this and was told that both were cancelled and because I had called in a timely manner I would not be charged. This transaction was friendly and helpful; however, apparently not completed accurately. Three weeks later: Only my one trip TO Vegas was cancelled; my return flight home was not. When I again called Spirit, Jenki (sp?) answered the phone and told me I hadn't cancelled in enough time and would be charged for the trip and could not cancel the return leg home. I protested and was told they would review my phone conversation. They did not call me back, but I will be calling again later today to see if I can get credit (although I don't want to use them again in any case). Very disappointed with the service.

Cons: Were unable to get boarding pass at check-in desk unless an extra fee was paid; instead was required to get boarding pass at kiosk. Doors to plane were closed 30 minutes prior to scheduled flight time (the flight was delayed through no fault of Spirit; not blaming them for the additional wait at the flight gate). Distance between seats is smaller than on other airlines; quite uncomfortable. Baggage fee was excessive; We checked our baggage even though it was carry-on size because it cost even more to bring a carry-on. No frills is an understatement.....even beverage service was not included in cost. Spirit is no bargain even though it looks like they are the cheapest when you book the flight. I made the mistake of forgetting how miserable Spirit flights are, lured by the "cheap" fare. Will not forget and accidentally use them again!

Cons: From the minute I walked into the airport to the spirit counter, all the check in machines were down. I don't fly often so when one of the ladies at the counter said something about checked bags that I didn't understand and I asked her about it she was kind of rude giving her response. The food was expensive and the flight attendant was bitchy. Why don't your seats recline?! And there was gum stuck in pretty much every book (the plane instructions manual, the menu) I get that you get a good deal flying spirit but I feel like your flight attendants hate their jobs.
Pros: My trip once in Las Vegas was great, however my experience flying with Spirit was the worst for my girlfriend and I. We tried to pay our luggage fees from home but weren't able to do so from our mobile phones, they charged us each $55 for one piece of luggage & they only allow you 40 pounds. Then once at the gate & before boarding the plane they told me I had to pay $65 for my small carry on, it fitted perfectly in their sample measurement they have there & still the woman from Spirit told me if you want to get on the plane you need to pay $65 now or you'll lose the flight. Same for coming back. They didn't even allowed us to sit together. So initially the flight was apparently cheap but with all the expensive luggage fees came up to $500 RT from BWI to Vegas. Worst experience ever! I've flown all over & with many airlines & this has been the worst experience ever, I'm never flying with them again & same for my girlfriend.
Pros: This is the second time I made the mistake of choosing spirit airlines. They are so disorganized and have terrible customer service. We bought two tickets and the boarding pass showed the tickets to be in completely different parts of the plane. When we asked the agent to fix this issue she said she can't do anything about it. When we got to our gate we asked the agent if she could do something about it and when she checked the random seats that were given to us she noticed that those seats were already taken. She was able to give us two seats all the way on the back of the plane. Also our flight is delayed. AND just because the tickets are cheap you end up getting screwed over with luggage fees. Wtf airline charges you $55 for a carry on??? I am so frustrated. I am traveling with my husband and we are newlyweds recently got married this weekend and this is the BS we have to deal with. Awesome. Never ever flying with them again and will NEVER recommend this airline to anyone.

Cons: The flight was canceled 15 minutes after boarding was supposed to have started. This was at 11PM. We were told to go back to the ticket counter and see if other arrangements could be made. Another flight was also canceled at this time. It took us until 3 am to reach the ticket counter. When I got there the ticket agent asked if I could take a video of the lines for her to send to her children. After declining a 7AM flight with three stops that would have taken us to L.A. first and had us land in Baltimore at midnight, we were given tickets out on Jet Blue, a real airline, the next day at 10AM. We were also given vouchers for 3 meals, a taxi ride to and from the airport, and a hotel. However, no restaurant in the airport would take the vouchers and neither would the taxi back to the airport. The taxi was even the same company that took us to the hotel less that six hours earlier. Spirit barely had any communication with us on any of this. There was never an explanation for why the flight was canceled. They also allowed people to jump the line and get vouchers, slowing the overall process. It is safe to say I will never fly Spirit again, no matter how cheap it is.
Cons: The first time I flew on Sprit I had a bad experience but I thought it was a one time thing so I gave them another chance. Even with the charges for EVERYTHING! WATER, SODA, CARRY ON... but my experiences this trip were even WORSE! My connecting flight to Vegas (through Minneapolis) was delayed 2 hours then another hour once we boarded. They offered us free WATER. My trip back to Atlanta (through Detroit) was delayed at least 3 hours (still sitting at the airport). They do not update you in the terminal. They do not offer any apologies, comps, or alternatives even though the website says you can choose another flight if your travel plans cannot be changed. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PAY EXTRA MONEY TO FLY ON A REAL AIRLINE!!!
Cons: Due to Fox car rental triple charging my VISA I was instructed to speak to a manager when I returned my rental car. Knowing this would take more time, I arrived 30 minutes earlier to discuss the matter. It wasn't an easy fix. As a result, I arrived at McCarren Airport to check my bag at 10:55 p.m. for an 11:30 p.m. flight. I was told I was to late and would have to take the next flight to Detroit, which wasn't until 8:15 a.m. I pleaded and offered to take my luggage to the plane and carry it to the baggage workers, but it was to no avail. I was booked for the 8:15 a.m. flight to Detroit. I was very disappointed to be informed that it would cost me $99.00 to make the change.
Cons: I tried canceling one flight for my fiancé because we had to get on at another time while still keeping the returning flight. After confirming with the representative on the phone multiple time that there would be no issues with her getting on the returning flight; she went to check in at the airport and the representative there told her that her flight had been canceled. There were no other flights that night with Spirit or any other airline for that matter and we then had to arrange to have her fly out the next morning. From the cancelation I received a credit for half of what I paid and honestly will probably not end up using it because of the lack of communication. The representative on the phone confirmed and agreed to her return flight with the confirmation number and apparently he was not correct and it wasn't valid.

Cons: The spirit luggage check in delayed me (the 120 minutes early I was there) before the flight - standing in line - by the time I got to the ONE gate agent she said I was too late to catch the flight and admitted it wasn't my fault but I would have to pay an additional $170 to book the next flight which was the following morning. Down hill from there. It took me an hour waiting on hold to speak to someone on the phone. The representative & then her supervisor could care less, by that time the rebooking charge had gone up to $215. It cost me $300+ to last minute book a low price room for the night, taxi back and forth from the airport (I had already returned my rental car). That doesn't include the return flight I paid for on a different airline or the refund I should have recieved for the RT trip I already paid for. Shameful (non)service spirit!!!
Cons: I arrived 35mins to departure and was told I could not board my flight and would have to pay an extra $100 to rebook for a later flight. The flight they wanted to rebook me for was still selling for the same rate which I purchased my original ticket. The woman at the counter still said I would have to pay the extra $100. I only had a carry on. There was no reason I should have not been able to board my original flight or at the least rebook at no cost. Total rip offs but I guess that's what I get for flying with such a low class airline like Spirit. Never again and I will never recommend flying with this airline. They have so many hidden fees.

Cons: I had a flight booked a month in advance and I drove 10 hours to drop off my children with their grandparents so my man & I could take a vacation to Los Angelas. When I got to the airport they informed me that "I" had made changes to my reservation so it was cancelled and they gave me a credit for $300 even though I paid $450 for our flights. When I asked why I couldn't get a refund instead of a credit the lady told me that it was apparently because I booked through a third party, which is not true. I'm a member of spirit and I booked straight through their website. She told me there's no one I can talk to and that she can not help me and gave me a number to call. So I'm stuck at the airport with no help. (Now keep in mind I've already paid for a hotel and a car in LA that I will not get a refund for) finally we decided we'd have to take a flight to the next destination or we could not go on vacation. So we ended up having to go to Vegas and pay for the difference on top of a hotel. This is a joke!

Cons: Disliked: The horrible onboarding customer service staff at the LAs Vegas airport. The plane was delayed over 3 hours and there were no notifications to us as to why. We boarded our plane, left the terminal, and then went right back and waiting around, on the floor, of the airport for over 3 hours. Their compensation? Water, and a Biscoff. What a slap in the face! Also their shady business model: cram as many people as possible into uncomfortable seats and don't feed or water them for the duration of the flight. Oh wait, $3 sodas, $4 baggie of snack. Wow....
Cons: It was terrible. They didn't even announce the flight departure properly, so we (and several more people) missed the boarding. They rescheduled us to another flight but it disrupted our plans and caused a lot of inconvenience. Also, they charge for literally everything, I've never seen $42 fee for checked baggage, or even $55 or $100 if one doesn't make it to buy it online. Weight of 40 lbs. is woefully insufficient as travelers from Europe will have to remove over 10 pounds from their baggage as normal airlines allow 23 kg.

Cons: I tend to make the best of all situations but this time it was very difficult. Honestly, I would rather pay the "hidden fees" for a more comfortable flight with the ability to recline my seat, travel with a carry on bag and have in flight refreshments without having to pay extra. Sitting in an upright position for 5 hours straight with no leg room is torture. The thought of dodging hidden fees is great but not at the expense of comfortability and incurring additional baggage and in flight fees. Unfortunately, I would not fly with this airline again unless the flight is 2 hours or less and it was the only option available. Bottled water should be free for travelers even if it's only the 8oz bottles. The snack/drink menu options are limited and the prices are ridiculous. Thank you for the services, however this will not be an option in the future.
Pros: The seating and the Captain of the plane
Cons: I ended up spending another $600 to get home from Vegas with another airline July 18th 2016. The manager at the gate in Vegas his name was "Omaha" did absolutely nothing to help me get home what made the experience even worse the next flight was a connecting flight that was sold out so they tried to fly me to Detroit where I would have been stuck til the next day and they didn't care about me having to work the next day. I also payed the extra $52 baggage fee with Spirit leaving Vegas but that needs to be refunded as well as my flight that was previously paid for that I take. Overall because of the unhelpful employees I had to spend an extra $600 to fly with another airline to make it home that day and I also pay $52 baggage fee with Spirit that I didn't even use that needs to be refunded.
Pros: I liked the base price of the fare. I also liked the staff and flying experience from Cleveland to Las Vegas. That reference may be the only thing that causes me to consider a 2nd flight with Spirit.
Cons: I did not like the boarding process, a single line for ALL customers regardless of whether or not you already have a boarding pass, my luggage was damaged and no note or apology from Spirit it was just loaded on the conveyor belt as if it were received that way, threats of the gate permanently closing 35 minutes before boarding despite having to sit on the plane until the plane was scheduled to leave 35 minutes later, fees for everything from carry-ons, to seats, to snacks and regular beverages on super long flights, and the list goes on...
Pros: Gate person was very helpful got us on the flight early and we had great seats I am 6'4" my son who was in LV for basketball is 6'11" and she was great.
Cons: At check in for our baggage it was a very long wait Michael who helped us put us on standby for an earlier flight gave us new boarding passes did not see that I had paid for a carry on bag so my boarding pass did not have a carry on. I also had a very hard time checking in for our flight and printing the boarding pass as the web page was down for almost 24 hours I wasted many hours trying to print the boarding pass and was very surprised about the charges for seats baggage and printing the boarding pass.

Cons: My flight out was delayed 6 hours. With no reason as to why and a flight was scheduled to leave at the exact same time from the same gate. So I said screw it took the hit on paying for the ticket and went Alaska that day. There self check in on their website rarely works and their kiosk to check in at the airlines looks like it's from the 90's old, gross, and beaten up. You also have to pay $55 just for a regular sized carry on. So if you plan ahead go and spend the extra $20 on an actual airline not this PoS. There is no complimentary anything on the flight. Water and snacks all cost $$ and no exception. The customer service is beyond terrible. Chances of getting an actual person is 0 if you call their customer support line. In all NEVER fly this airlines.
Pros: They canceled the flight with no notification or any further explanation both ways, weather was good ! The next available flight was 24 hours later and with extra stop and wait time 6 hours. They also charge extra for your luggage, you are allow to take only small handbag everything ales is extra charge. They canceled flights both ways, a trip from hell thanks to Spirit airlines. They have worst costumer service ever and will not do anything to accommodate their costumers, all they can say is "sorry but there is nothing we can do." We ask for a supervisor after they change our flight on the way back as well from 12:05 am to 8:25 am and than again to 1:45 pm, supervisor said that "she is is truly sorry, but unfortunately there is nothing she can do" !!!??? I suggest that they send notification to their costumers in reasonable time before the flight departure about any travel changes, not once you are already at the airport.
Pros: Overall it was a mediocre experience, but none of the airlines make flying an enjoyable experience anymore... Service on Spirit was below some airlines, but overall it was OK.
Cons: SPirit's lack of honesty and disclosure about their fees and policies. The tag line of "Less Money, More Go" is totally false advertising. By the time I completed my return flight, this trip cost me about $100 more than other airlines because of their seat fees, bag fees, up-charges... they even charge for you taking your own carry on onto the plane! What's next? Charging for breathing while in-flight?? Overall I will not be using Spirit again, and I will not recommend Spirit to my friends or my company.\ Mike Gibbore

Cons: I'm very upset that I was forced to pay $65 additional to get on my flight for a carry on bag, they told me if I didn't pay it "right now" the price will then go up to $100 for my bag. They told me there was nothing they could do, "I should have read about the extra fees". If I would have checked it when booking it would have only been 25, then ups to 45, then 65, then 100$. That's how their flights can be so cheap- they told me. It wasn't cheaper then the other flights! I just didn't know I was going to have to pay an extra $100+ dollars! That price is absolutely rediculous. If it was $25, or even $40 it would be reasonable. Are you kidding me- penny pinchers with no compassion. I will never fly this airline again. Honestly, if you add everything they charge you for, you'd get a better deal paying for Alaska Airlines. AT least they respect their customers.
Pros: Once I actually took a Spirit Flight my experience was fine.
Cons: I missed my initial flight due to traffic & was only 10 minutes past boarding time. The Reps at the counter were helpful and called multiple times to the gate to see if they would let me board, but they would not. The counter did fail to inform me by not making the going flight that my return flight is automatically cancelled. Missing that information, I then booked a one way flight thru another airline b/c Spirit did not have an available flight for that day. I continued to get normal check in emails for my return flight only to find out once I got to the airport to get my boarding pass that return flight had been cancelled. I was told by the counter rep that I needed to check the online agreement. At least a courtesy email would have be nice. So I ended up having to book another one way flight to return, this time trough Spirit, but it was 4 hours later. I also did not get credit on my original flight paying for checked baggage for the return trip even though I paid $40 going and $40 returning. Needless to say, I completely wasted money booking my original flights since I had to book two other flights to go and return.

Cons: Customer service is horrible. You get what you pay for. My first encounter was with the greeter who was extemely rude. I have never flown with Spirit and had questions about the baggage costs. Her response to me was rude and condescending unlike the other carrier I had flown with the day prior. I arrived to my gate 1 1/2 hours prior to my flight time. I had been checking the board as my flight was delayed since the morning. I went to grab something to eat close to my terminal (listening to all the announcements) and when I got back I was told my flight had already departed. I question how that was so since I was there and had not heard anything. They changed the gate number my flight was leaving from and moved up the time. She proceeded to rip up my boarding passes. I asked what my options were and in her rude tone she answered "well you can rent a car and start driving". Never again....and I will be sure to pass along my experience as others tried to warn me.
