Cabin temperature was too low and uncomfortable
The trip was booked on a Premium Economy, I was moved to standard economy with no compensation. When I boarded the flight crew had already made someone else sit in my place who were reluctant to give me my seat. Quite a few people were found not wearing masks and crew did nothing about it. No choice of food in spite of me with a standard economy ticket that includes the option of food.
Pathetic ground staff and customer care. I paid for an upgrade 3 weeks before the journey, and I was downgraded with no reason.
No Food, No beverages, only water, and there is no information about this sudden change
Comfort and safety. At least packaged food could be served to Business Class passengers.
Surprisingly pleasant experience despite Covid-19 times. Food was too good!

I was asked to wait for almost an hour and a half to get my documents cleared for my travel to dubai. After all that wait I was asked to sign an Indemnity form stating that I'll be responsible for any penalties whatsoever from Dubai Immigration if denied entry in dubai. The staff don't even know the rules and have behaved so dumb while dealing with passenger and have zero knowledge about document checks. Either the airline needs to get them more trained before getting them on the floor or needs to take strict action against them. Because wasting my time at the Mumbai airport was not so entertaining for me and the airline did not even seem apologetic about it. Vistara has hired some really unprofessional and uneducated staff at their Mumbai station."

All Indian airlines are super cheap and low quality--with Vistara at least I did not get pushed around during boarding and getting-off. Traveling by air in India in economy class is like traveling in a greyhound bus. If you are from the US and 30+ year old avoid the Economy class."

We were charged 3000rps each for overweight luggage and the staff at the check in counter in Jaipur were really rude about it. This really felt like a scam! We asked to cancel the flight and were told we could, but there was no guarantee of any refund. We said to cancel it anyway. Later I was told there would be no refund. I assumed it had been canceled and yet I got emails telling me it was time to check in, etc. And then I’m asked to review my flight! So, between Indigo and Kiwi.com I felt I got terrible service. I will not use either of them again. In the end we got a flight for the original amount including 15kg of checked baggage from a different website and on a different airline that left at the exact same. There was a reasonable charge per 5 kg over the15 allowed."

They said since we didn't book directly through them we couldn't get a refund. I think this is worse service ever had since both airlines we booked form Kathmandu was through air india. I will never fly with them again. And I travel alot."

There were no headphones and when asked they just kept ignoring me. The remote was broken in 2 pieces and when asked the attendant replied "Am i supposed to fix this?". I was forced to travel for 15 long hours from Chicago to New Delhi without any entertainment system. I barely saw any flight attendants in the economy class. Such airlines without any professionalism should be grounded ASAP. I would request Kayak also to remove Air India from their services or give a warning when any user opts for it. The Govt. of India should strip of the national carrier symbol of this huge debt ridden business. Its a shame that a route like US - India wherein the middle east airlines are reaping profits due to their brilliant services, the citizens of India have to look for other options rather than their own national carrier. SHAME ON YOU AIR INDIA."

I took Air India after a long while, as I got used to Emirates and Ethiad serving my home town Ahmadabad directly from SFO. This time I opted for Air India due to electronic ban on other flights. I paid attention to service by Air India, and I liked their service; they served with grace and attentive to passenger's needs."

Cons: "It would have been nice to dim the lights so people could sleep, offer water more than once during a 15 hour flight (that's right - beverage service ONE TIME in 15 hours), not take 30 min to clear out garbage after meals, and notice when you step on the passengers foot... 3 times. Also, the bathroom ran out of toilet paper twice, the personal entertainment tv shuts off randomly throughout the flight, the food was salty (further dehydrating), and plane is dirty."
Cons: "I doubt we'll fly Air India again if we have any alternative."
Pros: "Only nonstop flight between Chicago and New Delhi Pajama are offered for use in Business class and was very comfortable. Loved changing into the comfy pajamas during the flight."
Cons: "Flew business class and was very disappointed. Crew in business class not attentive and they stay in their galley most of the time. This is very unlike other international carriers like Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa , and Swissair that fly the same route. Meager snacks and drinks. Seats much inferior to Lufthansa, Swissair business class.Only two bathrooms in Business class and one was declared unusable almost at the beginning of the fifteen hour flight. Bathrooms are not kept clean by staff."
Cons: "This was a 16 hour flight with no in-flight entertainment! The least you all could have done is provide passengers with a wifi password. Extremely disappointed."
Pros: "Food quality and quantity was good. Staff was courteous and attentive"
Cons: "Aircraft equipments can be more up to date. Few tv screens were not working."

Pros: "Turbulence, higher than usual, lasting for an hour at a stretch. Plane dipped in altitude suddenly more than a handful of times. Plane was about to land at SFO, pilot suddenly decided not to, with sudden and accelerated plane movements. A kid next to me was thrown half a foot from the seat. Following this when the plane landed it was continuously 'wobbling'. This kind of piloting is not expected of a long distance passenger aircraft. Lost my trust in Air India as a safe flight. Will highly not recommend Air India to family and friends."
