Food was disappointing.

We landed at 8:30pm and did not deplane until 9:45pm. We had to take busses to a terminal gate. It was awful.

Delta screwed up my ticket and booking and did not make their best efforts to accommodate or offer a suitable resolution. In fact passed the buck to TSA, who of course had passed the buck to Delta.......bad experience currently without resolution

Pros: "I don’t know what Delta could have done better on this two leg flight from Albuqueque to Miami via Atlanta . Yes we were in First Class and it was a (groan) 6:05 AM flight which meant that we were probably on time. But Delta’s 737-900 (to Atlanta) was very comfortable, the crew did everything well and the breakfast was quite good. (Make sure you try the quiche). We had the same crew on the next leg to Miam, who were surprised and gave us a warm welcome. There were only snacks in 1st for that short segment, but they were all we wanted."

She barely slept the whole flight and I had a stuardis in a red dress who whem I asked for for a beverage made it seem like I asked for it right now. Didn't say a word Else to me until it was time to land and my daughter had just fell asleep. She told me. I had to take her out of the baby carrier. My daughter needed a diaper change and there were no places to change her. I tried to change her by the door really fast. The stuardis said no go change in a bathroom I asked which one had a changing station they said none and to just change in my lap. Plus my car seat was broke when I got it back."

This resulted in my having to run to my gate after waiting on the long line at customs and I barely made my flight. This should not have occurred- I should not have to run to my gate from one flight to another especially when I raised this concern to an employee of Lufthansa as well as a customs officer."

I was feeling thirsty but no one gave me water in the airplane

USB plug did not work in-flight and it seemed super bumpy from start to finish. Not sure if it was because it was a much smaller plane, but I fly generally 2ce a week for work and this was by far the bumpiest and wobbliest(not sure if that is a word..haha) I've had this year. Also, in Albuquerque the gates shifted from what was on the boarding pass to what was in the terminal which caused some confusion. Then landing in Austin for my layover to Tampa the flight was delayed and then back on time on the in-app boarding pass, the gate changed too and when I got to the gate my flight was not posted. I thought I was going to miss my flight because it was supposed to have been boarding right then and I couldn't find the gate for my flight. Finally someone showed up to the desk and I was able to ask, and she confirmed that it was that gate and was delayed. There were several of us going to Tampa that were a bit stressed and confused. After all was said and done we were delayed about an hour, but it was the confusion that made things so much more stressful. I like to fly American quite a bit, and have a MC as well, and although there have been some delays, which I understand will happen, I haven't experienced this level of confusion.

Cons: "flight was delayed two hours because they couldn't find a single American airlines employee to sign off on some log book.sat on tarmac two hours because no one could sign a piece of paper!!! so obviously we missed our connecting international flight to dublin. called american customer svc, they made us call british airways, british airways said we had to call kayak, kayak said we had to call American. thanks for all the great customer svc. this is why everyone hates flying and all airlines are garbage. then finally in chicago american customer svc desk said they rebooked us on a British airways flight the same night, we traversed (ran) the entire chicago ohare airport only to find out british airways said we were not on that flight, were completely full and we had to go back to american. literally had to leave airport to get on train to go back to american terminal. they swear we are now (the next day) on this aer lingus flight despite our inability since last night to try and check in to that flight because aer lingus website doesnt work, no one answers their customer service number and their ticket counter at airport doesnt open until noon. suffice it to say we are still not on a flight to Dublin, ive missed an entire day of a limited vacation, and i will NEVER fly american again."

I turned it off AT LEAST EIGHT TIMES and it kept coming back on, first to try to sell me on a credit card offer, then to show me previews of movies I wasn't going to watch on a 5 AM FLIGHT that was lasting 75 MINUTES. I finally tore a page out of the AA magazine and wedged it against the screen so I could actually sleep without it constantly blinking on and disturbing me. Next time, I'm going to smash the screen. If I want it off, leave it off."

Cons: "The third party agent, webjet.com, was horrible. American airlines contacted them several times about canceling the ABQ-ORD flight and they never responded. WEBJET.COM did not put their name on the electronic ticket so I was unaware of who to contact. Finnair was not particularly helpful. They discontinued my chat conversation and didn't have an option to call back so I had to wait for 20 minutes. American Airlines was impressively helpful. They figured out that WEBJET.COM had canceled one leg of our fight and AA.com reinstated the flight. American had also contacted WEBJET.COM numerous times and WEBJET.COM had never responded."

Many delays, decrepit old planes, terrible communication from flight crew, no gate staff ready upon arrival so we sat on tarmac at 2 AM

Late departure destoyed my plans!!!

The problems started when we landed. Seems all gates were taken so we moved to an international gate as a domestic flight. For that reason we needed to deplane using buses since we were not authorized in the international section of the airport. It took forever to deplane and many missed their connections. One girl passed out in our bus due to the wait/stress/heat. Once we arrived at the baggage area it was complete chaos. I have traveled for years almost on a weekly basis and i never saw such a chaos. The floor was filled with luggages. Some were two days old. Our flight never showed up on the carrousel screen. There was no announcement or guidance from Air Canada giving any insight if we were going to get our luggage at one point. After 2 hours we left. The line to get a claim was very long so we left without filling the claim as we were having several hours to drive home. I called on the way home to submit a lost luggage claim. Took 45 minutes to get an agent. The agent was able to do the claim. I don’t want to blame the staff. There was clearly something broken in the system. This is probably due to lack of staff due to Covid but Air Canada should plan for that. They cannot sell more tickets and not able to handle volume.

Cons: "The flight was delayed several hours. The rows are way too close together to be remotely comfortable, and the seats themselves are tiny and barely recline. Being 5 months pregnant, I was uncomfortable the entire flight. The "entertainment" that you have to download an app for didn't work, and particularly stung knowing how much we paid for the flights, and that other airlines simply put a TV on the back of each seat that is easy to connect headphones and view. The food on our previous flight had been so terrible we didn't bother on this trip, but it looked equally awful. My husband was in the aisle seat and the flight attendant repeatedly and without warning hit him with the cart. The flight attendants varied in level of friendliness, but the ones in our row rushed through service, and did not give us the options the other row had (ice in drinks, veggie or meat options). All in all, it was kind of a terrible flight experience."

The customer service was very uncooperative in rescheduling flights for us. in my case again the rescheduled flight was inoperative in the next day. Air Canada has been very disappointing in service. I really hope that I will be able adhere to my promise to myself not to fly with Air Canada in my life."
