They did find it next day and delivered to the FLL airport, but we had to get a cab and go to the airport to pick-up as we could not take a chance of it not making it to us before the cruise departure. I am extremely disappointed"

I am a Delta frequent flier, and despite logging on and checking in, was told at the airport counter that I would be assigned a seat at the gate. Of course we were assigned to the last row of the antiquated MD 88, right next to one of the engines. As if the lack of reclining seats was bad enough, the engine noise and vibration was almost unbearable on the flight that was delayed one hour on the Tarmac. The crew was understanding and we did get to Orlando safely...a big plus."

We'd taxied to the runway when takeoff was delayed by an incident ahead of us with another plane, and the flight attendants didn't give anyone a hard time about getting up to go to the restroom while we waited for the situation to be cleared, which I really appreciated."

I flew to NY on American Airlines, and was relatively comfy, but was looking forward to my Delta flight back to Nashville, because I've been more pleased with Delta in the past. Maybe because the plane was smaller than I usually fly on or something (?), I spent the whole flight crammed into the corner, trying not to bump into the lady next to me (and she wasn't taking up too much space, btw - neither of us was overweight and neither of us used the shared armrest, we were both just wedged into our seats. Very uncomfortable)."

Pros: "Check-in process at LAX by LATAM employee was misleading, as she made it seem as if our luggage would arrive at our final destination in Cusco. Moreover, she failed to give us copies of our boarding pass for our connecting flight from Lima to Peru. Because of her misleading, out luggage was left in Lima and we landed in Cusco without our luggage. We are still awaiting to see where our luggage is."

Cons: "We were traveling with 2 children. Seats assigned: rows 15, 18, 32, and 38. Nobody in the crew (from the desk to the plane) was able to solve the problem. We solved it swapping seats with other passengers. We were 4 with 3 carry-on bags. The person who was in charge was very rude. They don't allow us to carry any of them in the cabin and 1 arrived broken. I had no problems like this before, With full flights like this is normal to have to send some luggage that you expect in the cabin to the hold, but in this case the crew was very unclear and rude. The food: it was a short flight and they give us our snack just seconds before the landing. Finally, they lost 1 of our bags. Waiting to see if it appears."

Other airlines have water and juice available I felt like I was bothering a crew member every time asked for a glass of water, when I could have just helped myself. Also, maybe have a few light snacks available. After a very light lunch, 8 and a half hours is a very long wait till breakfast!"

HOWEVER, I got to JFK only to discover I had NOT been ticketed. A lengthy call to AA resulted a a lame apology -“we don’t do that” they claimed, but the had previously! And had booked me, so what the heck was this??? I’m still fuming!"

They didn't seem to be very accommodating or apologetic and I didn't even offer compensation to those who had to stay overnight to wait for the next flight out. C'mon AA. Step it up! I would think that if you cancel a flight, you should help your customers get home the same day. Do whatever you can. I don't think you did whatever you could for most of us on that flight."

I WILL TRY NOT TO FLY IN AA AGAIN."

By the time we got to DC I had JUST missed my connecting flight. It was listed nowhere on the departures screen and I realized I had to take an outdoor bus to the other half of the "c" terminal which was very confusing. I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals."

Those of us who got in line quickly were able to fly standby on the 8:00 flight. I felt the airline did not treat us honestly. I believe the reasons for the delays were known long before the delays were communicated to passengers. (For example, there was a new delay announcement at 8:00 for a flight scheduled to leave at 7:58). Had we been informed earlier, people could have made alternate plans if they wanted to do so (e.g. Rent a car or reschedule for the next day.)"

There were no updates from the desk leading up to 9:15pm - we were subsequently informed that the crew for the flight was at a different terminal in the airport and would arrive within 40 minutes. There was no update to the display board of the anticipated boarding time or arrival. Limited and poor communication overall. Once ready to board, the desk attendants insisted passengers check their bags because it would be "faster" since it wasn't certain if there would be sufficient overhead space. There was extra overhead space and we ended up having to wait 45 minutes for our luggage (small backpacks) upon arriving at midnight thanks to this desk attendant's short-sighted decision making. I will avoid American Airlines at all costs after this experience."

Pros: "I liked the helpful staff I was able to contact via phone. They were able to get things worked out for me so I could get home easily while trying to change flights multiple times. The flight staff once on board was apologetic and communicative with everyone to keep people calm amongst the delays and cancellation of the original flight."

There was no explanation as to why and it wasn't until after a 5.5 hour delay that she was able to tell us there was work being done on the plane. It was a full flight, and many people were confused and had no one to ask questions. The flight was delayed at least six times before it was cancelled and we were booked on another flight. I'm happy we were on a safe plane to fly back, but I'm unhappy with how the situation was handled. Zero communication and ultimately, I could have driven the entire way back faster that day than I could have via American Airlines. I missed a scheduled important appointment with my doctor that I cannot reschedule now. There were two other flights going to Columbus that day that people could have transferred to but as I said, there was no help at the desk to inform anyone what to do so talking on the phone to representative was the best option and that was if you could even get through that day. Delays are delays, and if it's to keep people safe, then that's fine because I'd love to be safe and make it back. However, the way it was handled made it the worst experience I've ever had with any airline. Zero communication, zero help, an entire plane of angry and frustrated people... The only thing that saved the day was another AA attendant at another gate that was able to help me properly as well as most people on my flight. I will most likely be looking at other airlines as options in the future for flying because AA has been on a steady decline lately with my experiences."

The flight attendendants were given the nod to start serving but by the time they got up the flight was on its glide path down. So we had the whole wait time and flight with no refreshments."

Cons: "I didn't like that there were dirty used food wrappers in seat pocket in front of me. The fellow sitting in front of me was in the bulkhead seat, yet reclined his chair all the way leaving me very little space. I really wish flight attendants would ask travelers to be considerate and not recline their seats during there welcome speech. Or even ask if the person being squished is ok. There were no snacks offered. Drinks were not offered till at least an hour into flight. My first flight was canceled. Kayak let me know, American never notified me!"

Cons: "Key: don't fly into a thunderstorm. Not a good way to arrive for a vacation after hearing people screaming and seeing emergency personnel carry bleeding passengers off the flight. No one did anything wrong, and staff was very helpful, but lesson here is avoid flights into cities with major thunderstorms -- mo matter what the cost to change flights."

Pros: "As a professional musician, flying with my viola is one of the most nerve wracking experiences, as if it is forced to be checked due to insufficient room for overhead baggage, it could be completely destroyed. As stated in Air Canada's online policy, passengers traveling with musical instruments that fit as carry on baggage are allowed to change to earlier boarding zones. After approaching a staff member with my viola, I wasn't simply assigned an earlier zone, but rather I was allowed to board first. On this principle alone I will be flying Air Canada again. Thank you!!!"

Because of the timely updates I did not hear one person complain in my earshot range. Apart from the delay the service was great, as always."

Cons: "After paying for a business One-Way.. the flight was canceled abruptly without any forewarning. There was the a line of 50-75 ppl with one attendant working. It took me nearly 3 hours to get anyone's attention, and finally told i was 'lucky' to get on a flight the next morning, after missing a Wedding dinner. I was also forced to pay 2x cab rides to the airport. Thanks Air Canada"

Cons: "To start, this flight was overbooked which I understand is a perfectly normal aspect of flying. However, the seats on this airline were so close to one another my legs were hitting the seat in front of me. I'm a thin 6' tall man, and I was uncomfortable the entire time. I've flown Air Canada many times but I've never experienced such a cramped seating experience with them. It was as if they added an extra five rows to the plane."

It was so frustrating because I had to wait 51 minutes for an Air Canada representative to confirm I had checked in eventhough I didn't have my boarding pass on my I5 phone. We did not pay the extra but were assigned seats during online checkin and were fine. The attendants were friendly and helpful. The seats were comfortable and the free inflight entertainment enjoyable."

Pros: "The fact that I was rebooked immediately to my new flight AC-DC 705 at 8:50 am by two wonderful ladies at La guardia airport who comforted then boarded me unto a flight due to the fact that I missed my original flight. This occured due to the Airport being Unorganized! As I had checked in well before 3 hours and was on time for my original flight at 8:30 am."

What I hated is that when I arrived at my original gate A7 the gentleman who boarded my original flight was unprofessional, rude, basically ignored me and said "You missed your flight !" Not even taking the time to listen to my situation or guide me in my next steps of acquiring a new flight to go to my classes and home in Toronto!"

No reason to assume our flight would have special us president clearance to fly. And doesn't take 4hrs to figure that out. Then was not giving any assistance or comms on new flight. When called told best chance is 2 days for flight and was not providing any hotel voucher. We ended up driving from Toronto to NYC. We were irate!!!!!"

Cons: "I had 21Inch suitcase. but who helped me check in staff , he said my suitcase looks littlebit big charge me seccond luggage fee $35.... my suitcase 21Inch..it is cabin size...even I didnt use extendingzipper, when I see other people suitcase same size with my suit case or more ticker what I got more mad is my new suitcase got scratched, cracked. I paid $35 . I got broken suitcase ..no reson to do that .it is firsttime I used that... also flight is delayed 2 hours both time .this is understand. .. but I stil got mad, don't understand that silly staff. I regret I couldn't complained and choose aircanada. Also he never smile to customers not kind at all seems doesn't wanna work. From that , Whenever take flight to short distance I will use westjet or other one."
