Pros: "I was very appreciative that the cabin crew went through the cabin prior to take off to check that everyone was wearing a mask properly (covering mouth AND nose). I flew United a few weeks ago and had to politely ask the person next to me both on return and departing flight to make sure the mask covered thier nose. A lot of people in the cabin weren't wearing masks properly and the crew didn't seem to care."

The AA system was down in Charlotte which effected everything. The attendant at the gate was very, very short with several passengers. There was not enough AA ground crew at our destination to allow us to embark. They couldn’t move the jetway and unload bags at the same time so we just had to sit there for 30 minutes. At 12:30am."

Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

At baggage claim only half our stroller was there - they had disconnected the seat from the wheels. Luckily we spotted what looked like a similar frame to ours at the gate when we landed. It then took another forty minutes for the baggage claim office person to go through security, to the arrival gate and back to baggage claim."

I do realize that the way Frontier keeps their ticket prices so low is that they charge you for every little thing. Honestly I was surprised they didn't charge me for a napkin. You do feel nickeled and dimed, after the purchase of the ticket itself. All in all I have to say I would fly Frontier again."

Cons: "After landing, we had to sit on the runway for 40 minutes, because frontier has only one gate at Austin International, and here was another plane still at the gate loading. Basically, they incorrectly scheduled the flights. As if that wasn't annoying enough. After landing, we had to wait an additional 50 minutes to receive our luggage! In all, it was an hour and a half after landing that I had my luggage in hand and finally got to leave the airport. You must pay to select a seat. You must pay to have a carry-on ($35 to $60 depending on when you pay) or any luggage at all. Basically you must pay a little extra for everything. The seats are a piece of sheet metal with 1/4" of padding, do not recline, and have less leg room than any other airline in my experience. There was an empty exit row seat, and as I am tall (6'2"), I thought it wasn't unreasonable for me to ask to move. When the flight attendant walked by, I had to say excuse me several times, each time louder until I was virtually shouting. When she finally acknowledged me and I asked about the seat, she said sure, you can move, for $50."

Pros: "This is supposed to be a lower cost airline but by the time you add in the luggage fee (you pay extra for both a carry on and checked bag) it amounts to the same cost as other higher priced flights. There is no entertainment or snacks included, although sometimes these can be purchased on board. The flight itself was good, on time departure, even arriving slightly early. But we sat on the tarmac waiting for a gate for quite a long time (low cost, low priority) by the time we got off, connections were missed or very tight."

Cons: "Me and my kids were heading to Memphis Tennessee for a Family Reunion. We were scheduled to leave Friday, July 29 and return on Monday, August 1st. I received a text message late Thursday the 28th stating that our flight was going to be delayed 3 1/2 hours coming out of San Francisco. That meant we were going to miss our connecting flight in Denver to Memphis. I asked the Frontier Representative on the phone on the 28th, when was the next connecting flight coming to take us to Memphis? The Rep said, "the next flight leaving from Denver to Memphis will be on Monday." I said we are going to miss the entire Reunion because the Reunion ends on Sunday and we were planned to return on Monday. The Rep did not offer any other alternatives to make sure we got to Memphis. As a result, we missed our valuable trip to see our family."

Pros: "Nonstop service between PDX and DEN. Frontier and United are the only carriers that do. We did have outstanding service from the rep when we checked our bags. But right next to her was a cranky rep, so I must say service is uneven."
