Cons: "3 to 4 hour early flight should have chargers on the plane."
Pros: "The gate attendants and on-board crew were lovely. Pilots provided info which was great and made up some of the long delay."
Cons: "There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late, that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."
Pros: "Easy to change the flight to another time of the day."
Cons: "Very good. Service. They try to bring customers ‘ convenience."
Pros: "Horrible hospitality. The flight was initially delayed for computer issues which understandably happens. However, we were later switch to another plane 4 hr later, boarded, de iced, taxied, then notified he flight was cancelled at 1 am because the crew hit their maximum work time. We were de-boarded. There was no organization to get vouchers passed out. The hotel ran out of rooms for passengers. The whole trip was 16 hrs delayed and no customer service provided."
Pros: "This flight was not full, so most people on the plane had the opportunity to spread out and have an empty seat next to them. The in-flight entertainment choices were vast."
Cons: "Food quality was not as good as some of the other flights, but there was still an ample amount of food served."
Pros: "The crew were very kind and helpful, going above what was needed!"
Cons: "Too many delays"
Cons: "This was a BA flight on an American Airlines plane. Very small crowded and uncomfortable. My husband is 6'2" and barely fit in the seat."
Cons: "Check in staff was unprepared for volume of people. When asking an American Airlines agent if I could use the priority check in because I had priority seating I was told no. I was informed by a customer going that way that I indeed could. When I got in line for the priority check in, the agent looked over and very loudly said that I was in the wrong check in area. Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."
Pros: "My flight was very good and I had no issues.I was very surprised how smooth everything went and I will be use kayak again."
Cons: "There was nothing to dislike.I will use kayak again I know that much"
Cons: "Seating. Plus our previous flights on American were horrible. Too many delays to note. (Late plane, mechanical issues, boarded anyway, sat on plane 2 hours, sent to a new gate, delayed, boarded, sat on new plane 2hrs waiting for food truck (chips), etc. Trip from hell"
Pros: "Flight crew kept us advised of the weather situation (thunderstorms/turbulence). Did a good job of finding a route that was fairly smooth. Overall very pleasant flight and crew."
Cons: "It's an MD-80. Need old cigarette-lighter style plug to be able to charge anything. No inflight entertainment unless you use snail-speed Go-Go internet service."
Cons: "Delays! A few hours. There were liars among their staff!"
Pros: "Excellent service and very friendly; thanks!"
Pros: "The British Airways flight to Europe had on-demand movies, with a screen on the back of the seat in front of you. The American Airlines return flight only had a cabin screen, where everyone watched the same movie. I will say, however, that the two movies I watched were excellent, so the outcome was fine (but given the option, I'd take the BA option of on-demand viewing!)."
Cons: "The seats on the AA weren't quite as comfortable as the BA flight (seats sat pretty straight upright, and not too plush... but all in all, not terribly uncomfortable)."
Pros: "Flight crew was awesome!"
Cons: "Connected from Cabo through Phoenix... seems that AA has really done a great job with passengers, but luggage is a whole other story, waited over an hour in Phoenix for luggage to come out, of course it didn't make the connection (had to clear customs in Phoenix)"
Pros: "The aircraft was not well maintained, middle holds were small and could not accommodate a normal hand bag. A side hold had to be taped to close it."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "For price paid, service and treatment not comensurate expense. Boarding system seems arbitrary to seat booked. Had window seat but middle and aisle seat boarded first...doesn't make sense."
Pros: "Staff was accommodating throughout the trip"
Cons: "We were delayed on every leg of the flight - even sitting on the tarmac for 1.5 hours. No nursing rooms available in the airports."
Pros: "American Airline flight was on time, actually, early departure and early arrival. Crew was friendly and helpful, and I arrived safely. There was room overhead for my carry-on. And I got a great deal thanks to Kayak."
