Cons: "Since my flight was connecting from London to New York we barely had a break even though we were suppose to have a 2.5 hour layover. As soon as we got off our first plane we were directed to American Airline security where they questioned me about my trip and what I did in Spain. Then I was directed to TSA where it took a long time to get through the lines. I got to my gate an hour before take off and they were already boarding. I didn't have a moment to take a bathroom break or grab a drink/snack. But again, this experience was not all that bad because all the positive notes listed above."

Cons: "Gate was changed, then flight delayed, then maintenance was required on plane further delaying, then once arriving on an already warm plane, another flight made it to our gate first so we had to sit for over 30mins on an un-air conditioned pressure cooker. It was 80 degrees outside but much hotter inside the plane. Quite miserable. Overall it was over 2 1/2 hour delay."

Cons: "The first class flight attendants were VERY RUDE to the passengers getting on the plane, especially the male flight attendant. While serving drinks, instead of saying things like "pardon me", they would say "move" (as was said directly to me) and get out of the way" (as I herd him say to another passinger). Very disrespectful way to treat a person, let alone a paying customer! Btw...I am a middle class 5' 11" tall college educated male."

And one in particular mocked me in front of the other attendants in the galley when I engaged in a little small talk. This particular woman prompted me to take the time to write all of this"

I guess she didn't have time for the last 4 rows of seats, although the flight was 1 1/2 hours long."

I hope I found all of it, not sure. I'm not sure how this happened, shouldn't planes be checked thoroughly before heading out!?!? Cons: "I was sitting in the boarding area and it was a quiet space, but I didn't hear the boarding announcement. I did get up when I saw that others were but meanwhile still didn't hear continuing announcements. Thank goodness for the excellent boarding sign which noted what zone was boarding."

Pros: "It got to me to Atlanta fine. But going back to Newark was a nightmare."
Cons: "When I checked in at Newark, I upgraded my seat from 22 B to 7B for $55. I also paid $25 for my small piece of luggage. I was told there may be a lot of suitcases and it was better to check it. When on the plane, a stewardess came up to me and asked to see my boarding pass (which was scanned when I got onto the plane.) I gave it to her and she never returned it to me. I get an EMAIL while in Atlanta, saying my seat on the flight was canceled because I was a NO SHOW on the 27th to go down to Atlanta. I had the receipt of my seat upgrade, my receipt for the checked luggage, and the tag on the luggage. I called United who said I wasn't on the plane. After a long conversation, she said she fixed it. I get to the Atlanta airport on 10/31, and I was not in the system. I had to get a supervisor and they said my seat was gone and I may not be able to get back to NJ that day. After the agent called United Headquarters, they finally got me on the plane. I was told once again I should check my luggage and shelled out another $25. I then get to the gate, and the agent at the gate was asking for 10-20 people to check their luggage for FREE. That was it for me. I will not fly United again, and have already requested that my Executive Admin's not use United and use other airlines when they book business trips because I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I did. I am 44, have been flying since I was 5, and have never had anything like this happen and don't want it to happen to anyone else I know. I was disgusted by the whole situation."

Cons: "I was one of the last to broad the aircraft and found that my seat was given to another customer. I was asked by the flight attendant if I could seat all the way in the back by the restrooms. I was not happy with this at all but could live with it. Once we landed I waited on my bags at baggage claim. Found that my luggage had been damaged."

Cons: "We were delayed which happens. That alone isn't a big deal. However, we sat on a runway for over 40 minutes without an update. Then we were told it will be 15 minutes and we returned to a terminal. Zero additional updates for about 50 minutes later. Crew or captain could at least kept us updated so we knew. Very poor service. Crew was friendly and good during the flight"

Pros: "There was a medical emergency on board and the crew, especially the African American stewardess is to be commended for her (their) responsiveness. The flight was pleasant, however I could not give an excellent rating. To give an excellent rating would meant his flight or airline stood out above all others."
