The flight attendant and pilot crew were extremely attentive and made the errors of the bo0arding/desk people palatable.

The Chicago led was handled by United. No fewer than 10 time changes back and forth. Uncertainty as to the gate number. The staff at the gate were flippant and uncaring.

Boarding was ok

I was one of the last to broad the aircraft and found that my seat was given to another customer. I was asked by the flight attendant if I could seat all the way in the back by the restrooms. I was not happy with this at all but could live with it. Once we landed I waited on my bags at baggage claim. Found that my luggage had been damaged.

Boarding was easy. clean plane, crew was very friendly. I was very concerned though, when we banked left and did a complete circle in the air. An explanation from the captain would have been terrific. I made sure I was the last one to leave the plane and asked him about it when I saw him at the exit. He told me what happened but I would have liked to know while it was happening. Besides that, the coke and pretzels were divine. :)

The gate agent helped half a dozen people (not including those described below) understand they were boarding with the wrong group.

Fully one-quarter of the passengers boarded as disability or premium. This included a party of eight that boarded with one person in a wheelchair because "We're all together."

The in flight entertainment and the pilot being informative about what was going wrong at the Atlanta airport.

The insane process that followed the flight of rebooking - it would have been VERY HELPFUL to have access to the inflight internet so that I could have rebooked my missed connection before we landed in the ATL airport where it was past midnight and there were hardly any staff available for us to talk to and the lines to speak to anyone took literal HOURS to get through.

Row 19 on a 737ER is great for room, as long as you don't plan on reclining (I rarely do in a daytime flight)

A little overcautious regarding seating the cabin crew because of possible turbulence, but better safe than sorry, I suppose. However, it is a common occurrence on this particular leg, so don't board knowing you might need to take a "break" before you get to Atlanta.

Having to pay extra $$ for seating and not enough together

Arrived twenty minutes late. AA refused to accept responsibility for this and compensate me, even though my transportation had departed without me as a result of their tardiness.

Arrived to destination early

Asked to be moved to an empty row. Was told "no" by the stewardess, she then offered that same row to another passenger 5 minutes later.

I arrived at my destination

AA changed my flight plans which resulted in a 4.5 hour layover in Philly. The gates were filthy, there is not much selection for in-flight food and nothing for entertainment. I couldn't even find an outlet that worked at the gate.

Excellent personnel, friendly and efficient.

I was sitting in the boarding area and it was a quiet space, but I didn't hear the boarding announcement. I did get up when I saw that others were but meanwhile still didn't hear continuing announcements. Thank goodness for the excellent boarding sign which noted what zone was boarding.
