Cons: "It was a very long check in process in Madrid, and 45 minutes more to gate. I think it may just be layout of Madrid airport, but I would suggest to anyone getting to airport a minimum of 3.5 hours before flight."
Cons: "The flight was two hours late leaving Chicago due to maintenance issues. Because of this we missed our scheduled train therefore I had to purchase more tickets."
Pros: "The crew members were friendly."
Cons: "Everything. The outdated planes need to be renovated with seatback screens. The entertainment featured on the aisle screens were unappealing. The economy seats are smaller than on other planes we've flown in; my husband could not fit his legs in his own leg area and was miserable the entire flight. And lastly, the plane was freezing, even after turning off the air overhead. Everyone around me was huddled under their skinny blankets shivering."
Pros: "The pilot was very apologetic about being delayed but we were able to catch the flight because it was delayed for about more than 2 hours."
Cons: "It was cold in the beginning of the flight. We were delayed at the first flight and when we got to the gate there were no one available at the gate to check us in. We had to go to customer service to get on board."
Pros: "They boarded quickly, left early, arrived 40 minutes ahead of schedule. The staff were very friendly and efficient."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "I’m never comfortable in airplane seats"
Cons: "The airport Jorge Chavez in Lima sucks. Don't spend anymore time than you have to there unless you are prepared to spend a ton on food and water. $9 for a large bottle of water!!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed because the attendant was coming from a different destination."
Pros: "flight was on time and pilot was good. will and grace on the main screens which was a good choice but why bring back the cabin screens from the 80s??"
Cons: "Scaled back to less than a budget airline at a higher cost threshold. boarding process was disorganized, no screens, additional cost for breathing (pretty much)"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Rude flight attendant"
Pros: "On time smooth ride"
Cons: "I booked using expedia, but Kayak was sending me updates & info. I did not receive our booking record finder number, so I couldn't check in with my phone, so we got terrible seats in the back."
Pros: "Boarding on time and arrived to my destination on time."
Cons: "no comment"
Pros: "Small airport"
Cons: "Service and flexibility, needed to call online for assistance"
Cons: "They run out of food in Business Class. Service was the same as in coach."
Cons: "They bumped us off our flight for not checking in online! It was a very frustrating experience."
Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."
Cons: "Flight cancelled"
Pros: "Not much! The flight was smooth and without event."
Cons: "Originally, I was scheduled to take a JAL flight from NRT to DFW, but for some reason, American Airlines switched the service to their own aircraft and crew. If I would have known that beforehand, I would not have purchased my ticket through AA.com. During my original online booking, the screen said JAL service from NRT to DFW. Just about everything was bad about my American Airlines flight. I travel to and from America several times a year from Asia. Each time I travel, I swear I will never fly an American based airline for the trans-Pacific portion of my flight. My latest experience with American Airlines only reinforces that resolution. The in-cabin crew is (and I'm being nice) pathetic! They are veteran flight attendants and they look and act like they could care less about the customers on the flight. Frankly, I'm just downright disgusted with the service and personalities of the American crew's attitude. They act like they are old and tired, uninterested in quality service, and that we (the passengers) are an imposition upon their life. For example, mid-flight, I walk to the back of the airplane for something to drink, instead of assisting me they point to a "station" at the Emergency Exit door stocked with random drinks and snacks. While they are chit-chatting, looking at their smartphones and reading newspapers, books, and Kindle-type devices. That has never happened on an Asian-based airline flight. Another example, in-flight food service, the cabin crew members are waking people up to serve food and, instead of being gentle and cordial, they are rude and impatient. My 2 row mates were both Asian, and because of being awakened and the ambient noise in the aircraft, they could not hear what the flight attendant was asking. So, with a tone of impatience and disrespect, the flight attendant virtually shouted at them their choices for the meal. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right" or the "customer is king"? My renewed resolution: I will no longer fly American-based (because Delta is even worse) airlines to and from Asia. If needed, I will pay the higher fees and fares to fly anyone of a number of Asian-based carriers. It is worth it for the 24 hours it takes me to cross the Pacific. I am sick and tired of the begrudged and entitled attitude of the archaic cabin crews of American-based airlines."
Pros: "I made it safely to my destinations and in a timely manner"
Cons: "The lack of space to breathe. Being herded like cattle to our seats."
Pros: "Clean, smooth flight, on time."
Cons: "Small plane claustrophobia, entertainment required your own debice"
Pros: "The flight was late octavius"
Pros: "Excellent aircraft. EJR190. Not big but very comfortable aircraft. AA has decided to give actual leg room. Nice experience even in the back of the aircraft."
Cons: "AA needs to work on boarding logistics at LaGuardia. It's confusing to have to shuttle across the tarmac to another terminal. If the flight times had been closer I would not have arrived in time to board."
Pros: "Everything was good"
Pros: "Got us on the flight and in the air fast."
Cons: "They had plane issues and then the flight was delayed and then they changed our gates."
Cons: "Flight was canceled. Had to rent a car and drive to make meeting."
Cons: "I lost this flight! They were supposed to give me a hotel and a flight the next morning, but I couldn't be late so I had to manage myself and pay a lot more to travel with a taxi to Greenville !!!"
Cons: "It was delayed for about a half an hour. Other than that it was great"
Pros: "Very affordable! Traveling can be difficult, especially from Chicago O'hare - one of the busiest airports in the country - but everything was made easy for me and was a breeze!"
Cons: "No complaints here!"
Pros: "After boarding and a 20 min wait seated we were told we had to leave the plane because of the broken something . It was fixed and we were off about two hours late. Fresno is a beautiful easy airport."
Cons: "Flight landed late. Had to rush to get on med plane"
Pros: "Flights left on time, landed early."
Pros: "too many gate changes and delays"
Pros: "Fast, easy"
Cons: "It was all good"
Pros: "Crew was polite and professional"
Cons: "Overall experience with American Airlines and those under them was definitely not a good one. In the future I will probably look at other airlines."
Pros: "Friendly, helpful. Smiled. Great face for American Airlines. Especially the gate crew at Dallas for flight to Greenville SC"
Pros: "Nothing good"
Cons: "After several delays, my flight was scheduled to leave at midnight but the was abruptly canceled with no warning leaving me seriously stranded in Charlotte. Customer service after the cancellation was atrocious. They basically gave up on trying to help us get a hotel or a new flight. I finally took an Uber to my final destination. Worst travel day of my life."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth"
Cons: "It was fine"
Pros: "The pilot and staff were polite."
Cons: "What entertainment? No movie, no wi-fi, nothing. I didn't eat the food so I can't speak on that. But overall, this was one of the worst airlines I've flown. If I could have done it over, I'd have taken a train or bus."
Cons: "Horrible delays and many gate changes"
