Cons: "the plane was Hot! So hot we couldn't use the blankets. The staff in Tokyo did not want to let me and my twin 11 yr olds board early. We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. And that is without consideration for the fact that my daughter has limited sight so needs my help and it takes time. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

Cons: "I was travelling with my twin 11 yr olds one of whom has limited sight. They normally only allow early boarding of young children, but we need extra time as I have 2 children to organise and my daughters sight dictates that i have to assist her. Other passengers were not impressed. I would like the airlines to take the initiative to have all children boarded early as if we board with everyone else, the aisles will be blocked as my children try to get organised."

Cons: "Two key issues: 1. Split up seating 2. Required to pick up and check baggage with limited time due to customs check. 1. They split up all four of our seats (despite booking more than 30 days in advance). Our seven (7) year old daughter was by her self. So was our fifteen (15) year old son. When we addressed it to baggage check (part of major issue number 2), they put two seats together, across an aisle, with both children in them. We obviously just sat one of the adults with the seven year old. This was not just us. SEVERAL families had children seated alone and spread all over the plane. ANA needs to require grouped seating for children under thirteen (13) years old with an adult. 2. Tokyo Haneda is the only airport I can think of where I have to pick up and check baggage again just to clear customs. The flights were 1 hour and 45 minutes apart. With nearly an hour dedicated to getting baggage claimed and getting through customs, we barely had time to fix two of our split seats (see issue 1) and rush via a free bus route that took 6 minutes (luckily we were first stop) to get us to domestic terminal 2. We were then lucky again because we made it through security quickly and our gate happened to be right next to the security check we chose. Another side piece: Haneda Domestic Terminal 2 has four security check areas (A-D). We saw no identifying marks indicating which were closest to which gate. Our bags have already been through a bag check process. Feel free to run them through security scans. Don’t make us wait to collect them just to walk them through the customs desk and check them again."

The entertainment system is an easy to use touch screen with great options from Hollywood and other movie sources."

They spoke great English and ensured me and my husband sat together during our 15 hr flight to Vietnam.! They had so many options on new movies and music that helped pass the time. The food was very tasty as well as there snacks and drinks! The entire staff were helpful and appeared to enjoy their jobs. I will always fly with ANA when returning to ASIA."

Cons: "I am 5'4" and weigh about 110 lbs. I was seated between two very large men who could not fit into the cramped seating and caused me to sit with my legs cramped and no arm rest. One was drinking heavily and the other watching open on his phone both of which made me even more uncomfortable. To make it even worse my TV was broken and there was nothing for me to do but be miserable for an 11 hour flight. Worse trip of my life."

That was extremely inconvenient. Lufthansa was amazing at getting me a same day rebooking, but the UA plane I was booked on was a little older. I was already a bit sick with a head cold and the heating element was very dry heat.. it made everyone pretty miserable on the flight. I was a bit disappointed to have to be rescheduled off of Lufthansa."

Cons: "The seats were very cramped. A little about my height, I'm 5'2" and had a difficult time with no leg room. I sat by the window which gave me a little more wiggle room but it was not the most comfortable flight. Also a note about being able to get up from the seat to move about. The other person in the row had to get up to allow me in and out and I still had to make sure not to pull on the seat in front of me just trying to get up out of the seat. Thankfully, I only had to get out twice through the whole flight."

Pros: "The on-board crew could not have been better......their professionalism, service, attentiveness was the best that I have experience in Economy class travel. The plane was clean, the toilets were nice throughout the flight. The seats were comfortable and noticeably wider than some other carriers offer. The food was MUCH better on Lufthansa flights that originate in Europe than flights that originate in the US. I will definitely fly again."

Actually, there were no lines, just a crowd of passengers pushing and shoving towards two gates. This was made worse by the occasional golf cart trying to move thru this throng of passengers. Most dangerous was that the flow of passengers down the escalators was not regulated, when I reached the bottom of the escalator there was no place to go, I was pushed awkwardly to the side by passengers piling up behind me. I am 67 years old, and found this very unsafe to my self and others. I hope that no injuries occurred."

Cons: "The fact that my mother suffered a major medical episode which lead to her being hospitalized for six days in Germany has left me very bitter regarding our flight. I have flown Lufthansa before in the past and AWAYS had a wonderful experience. However, I have NOTHING good to say regarding Lufthansa/KAYAK/Vaymara regarding your missed flight/re-booking policy, nor working with anyone who speaks anything other than broken English at best. If it had been possible my mother and I would have completed the flight from Frankfurt to Houston on 5/15/16; however, my mother's medical condition precluded that from happening. I submitted hospital admission paperwork which I was told that the airline was requesting that I needed to get the forms in English. REALLY???? We were in Germany; the hospital admission and discharge paperwork are in German. Lufthansa is a German - based airline. Nobody speaks or can read German? The hospital did not offer an option of English paperwork and I could pay for translating the paperwork for a price and it would take a couple of weeks.. I had to re-book through another carrier after receiving clearance and a certificate that my mother was medically cleared to fly. The price was ridiculously high but I had no other option since your representative told me it would take 4-6 weeks to reach a decision. Thank you so VERY much for inquiring in to my satisfaction on flight from Frankfurt to Houston Intercontinental on Lufthansa. As you can tell....it was quite the experience."

Pros: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Cons: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Additionally, coming from Vancouver on a late arrival, no one helped expedite me to the flight. I had to leave International, clear immigration and Customs, then enter immigration and US Customs. When I told anyone I was possibly missing my next flight it was met with a shrug, as if it was just my problem. Not a good way to treat customers."

I bought a bottle of liquor in the duty free at the Budapest airport thinking doing it this way I would not get harassed. Wrong!!! They freaked out and held us up even longer! We almost missed our last flight because of all the security steps we had to go through!!! And so did many other people. It's a ridiculous system, it should all be done at once with only having to stay in the long line ONCE! And to scan our own passports and waiting to see our name on some board to be able to leave that particular room just to be met with even longer lines afterwards is insane. I am not a tech savvy person, as I am sure a lot of others are not either, and I got barely any help to show me how the heck to do all of that! Unacceptable!! And to top everything off, an item was stolen out of my daughter's suitcase somewhere along the way!! Replacing it cost me about $40!!!"

There was absolutely no effort made to enhance a boring flight with food or drink unless you paid for it.I guess AC does not consider it an international flight from the US to CA and visa versa which saves them a lot of money and works only in their favor. Why I,m even bothering to fill this in."

Cons: "Crew was strangely inflexible about rules that I had not encountered before- being only in ticketed seat until at altitude (the flight was very empty), only specific headphones during takeoff & ascent, no headphones or electronic devices at all during final descent and landing."

Cons: "I couldn't get through security without my bag but they didn't have a way to let me know it was lost so I almost missed my flight waiting on a bag that wasn't coming. There should have been an announcement to come to the Air Canada desk. There wasn't. When I got to Charlotte, there was No One at the Air Canada desk to report my lost bag. Thank goodness those from United were able to provide me with a phone number to call. The phone attendant was not a native English speaker and made it incredibly difficult to file a claim. I'm still waiting for my bag."

Cons: "Assigned a seat that did not recline, no onboard entretainment, tiny snack. The flight was operated by United. The wifi did not work so no movies."

Pros: "Despite the original delay with the flight boarding staff was efficient at getting us on the plane as quickly as possible."
Cons: "The second part, from Toronto to Houston was the pitts. First of all they called me to the gate way before the boarding time and so I was a bit worried but when i got there there was nothing, they just confirmed I arrived from Montreal. This was strange and so I got a bit stressed as to why they had a called me and made me rush in the first place. Anyway, minor compared to the rest of the experience. The flight boarding was late, then an unscheduled stop in memphis for extra gas, then a tech problem that needed maintenance kept on on the ground. We finally made it to our destination 2 hours late. Most fellow passengers missed connecting flights and because we got out of the airport after midnight needed to get a cab to our accommodations. While I appreciate the attention to safety (and the curteous crew who obviously felt bad and were taking a lot of shit) we what was supposed to be a 3 hour flight ended up being 5 and there were no meals for sale,very limited snacks. We got one complimentary ,half can of juice and a bag of tiny bag spicy trail mix (labelled ranch) that i could not eat. After the delays we got an extra glass of complimentary cranberry juice. Which was amazing, but really did not cut it (from 5:15- midnight). By the end I was uncomfortable and starving! This was a radically disappointing experience in compared to the Ari Canada portion of the trip."
