Pros: "The crew’s positive energy and great service were truly amazing. Kudos Delta!"
Pros: "Nothing about this airline. Will avoid flying through Delta if they allow their team to lie to their passengers. Both land crew and onboard crew were disrespectful to their passengers."
Cons: "agent boarding delayed boarding because she wanted everyone to check their bags. A flight that was leaving 2 minutes later than our flight started boarding before our plane. It wasn't that the 2 planes arrived at different times. The agent was just horrible. In the end, she lied to the passengers that there were no overhead space left. When I went to get my seat, most of the overhead space was empty!! I had to check-in my bag and my bag was damaged by the delta crew."
Cons: "Not enough leg room. Flights are costly enough and it just seems wrong to upcharge passengers for more legroom. Legroom should be standard outside of first /business class."

Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then when they rebooked our connection on a British Airways flight, BA couldn't pull up the tickets and we wasted yet another hour while Virgin Atlantic and Delta both passed the buck as to who was responsible for correcting it so we could get on our rebooked flight, which we BARELY did with only 2 minutes to spare!"

When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

I was bumped to this flight because SAS canceled the direct flight from Copenhagen then the flight was delayed for an hour because of the new Covid forms and the slow processing from the staff Flight comfort and service was good

The staff between IAD and Copenhagen was not friendly

Cons: "The SAS Supervisor at the gate permitted all preferred-level economy class ticketed passengers to board irrespective of the amount of their carry-on items - in some cases as many as three different items and many over-sized as per the measuring box located at the gate walkway, before conducting a bag-by-bag weight check on all the remaining economy ticketed passengers. Any carry-on item over 8 kgs was refused access to the airplane, and had to be unpacked at the gate in full view of other passengers to remove all electronic devices or breakable items, prior to being left with the gate agent to be placed on the plane as checked luggage. This procedure was conducted in an officious and highly non-customer friendly way, and was embarrassing to those passengers who had to "strip down" their single bag, in particular for female passengers who had overnight clothing and toiletries. A more practical and customer appropriate approach should replace such a draconian procedure."

Cons: "Operations at Rekjavik airport are a disaster! Flights are so late that you cannot possibly make the short connections Icelandair has built into its schedule. The crowds are overwhelming. There are not enough gates for planes, so they park out on the tarmac and buses are used to take passengers to the terminal, which slows down the transfer process even more. Then the bus sat at the terminal with its doors closed and didn't let us off immediately. Once in the terminal, quick transfer cards were given to other flight's passengers, but not to ours. We showed our boarding pass to the person collecting the quick transfer cards. Our boarding pass plainly showed our flight was to depart at that very moment and the security person still sent us to the long line for passport clearance! The only reason we made our flight was because literally every flight was delayed, so our connecting flight left late. They were calling our names over the PA as we ran through the terminal, after finally getting through passport control. We have never had this problem at Rekjavik before. We asked what was wrong and the personnel told us this is the normal situation now. This is unacceptable! I will think twice before using Icelandair again!"

I tried to reach IcelandAir to do this as I needed proof of cancelled flights so I could submit to my trip cancellation insurance to get ticket price refunded. I tried contacting IcelandAir for well over 3 weeks, calling (sometimes on hold for hours before finally being cut off), numerous emails (that went unanswered), messaging on FB, I even opened a Twitter account to try to reach them through there- NOTHING! The flight was supposed to be taken last night- I received a FB message this MORNING apologizing for the delay, and informing me I needed to contact another party- I'm beyond blown away at the lack of professionalism and inability to answer a simple request, which was to cancel my flights BEFORE they were scheduled to depart."

Pros: "Entertainment selection was very impressive. Very good customer service after our bags were delayed by the plane sliding off the runway. They were super accommodating of my travel plans and delivered my bags to me three hours away from the airport."
Cons: "The flight attendants were extremely rude. They also were very conflicting with their directions for the exit row seats. One attendant would situate you and your belongings and then the next would come and make you move everything and this happened more than once before taking off. The attendants were also giving away seats that people had tickets for and forcing a lot of people to move seats more than once. They also would not take trash more than the one time about an hour after the drinks service, so slow drinkers were forced to keep all their trash for the entire flight and ending up leaving it in the seats because no one is going to take their trash off the plane with them when they had asked the flight attendants to take it during the flight and were refused. Also for a 7 hour flight, at least offering pretzels would be polite. The plane slid off the runway upon arrival and then we had to wait 2 hours for a ground crew to come with stairs and a bus to unload us. Communication to the customers was extremely poor during this time, we had almost no idea what was happening, and with where our bags were, we waited in the airport for an hour before they announced that they wouldn’t be unloading our bags for another few hours."
Cons: "the employees will not help you if you have a problem with the charges or the website. They claim ignorance and an inability to do anything. Which might be true. But this can be problematic. Furthermore, the website does not work and they do not write back. The single worst travel airline in my book, though the flight itself was fine. The man I sat next to had his flight cancelled without a refund and a similar story to me, with no helpful employees."

Seems like choosing seats early does not get you said seats with Icelandair. Given the fact that the boarding process was an absolute mess I found it difficult to remain patient. There was no organized line, and only one available boarding agent. Recipe for disaster if you ask me but hey, what do I know. Several agents were present for decorative purposes (?) and telling people that the line was a mess. It is the airline’s duty to organize the boarding process, not the passengers’. Not being served dinner on a 7h+ flight is unacceptable. Food available for purchase was very disappointing in both quality and service. Blankets were not available on this flight while they were on the outbound flight."

Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Even if it had caused me to miss my connecting flight, the ceremony for the fallen hero was more important."

We got to the gate collected our boarding passes found out we were seated at the very very very back of the plane right next to the restrooms.........NICE"
Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."
