Cons: "Boarding very confusing. Meal consisted of a cheese sandwich, and that's it (I was flying business class). Seat was barely functional, cranky and unconfortable. This was my first and LAST flight with Avianca."

When I got to the airport, my flight had been changed again to have 3 layovers and getting back the next morning. When I spoke with a representative at the Rio airport she said she couldn't do anything for me but to ask at my next layover where they could switch me to a direct flight. When I asked at that airport, they said they didn't even fly direct flights. Worst airline experience I've ever had."

Cons: "It took two hours in line to be told our flight was cancelled. After waiting another hour we were told they did not have alternative flights for us. They refused to have conversation and would randomly leave to the back office for 20 minutes at a time or stop assisting people at all. There were people screaming at the ticketing counter and security was called. In the end we spent 14 hours waiting there for a new flight, got split up and sent to different countries, had to miss work, and were not given any flight credit, accommodation, or even an apology."

Keeping in mind that my departure flight was from Bogota with the same airline. So I lost my return flight and avianca wouldn't give me any discount on getting a new one."

Terrible experience. Terrible service with inconsistent information and lack of willingness to help."

Cons: "The United plane was coming in right at the time copa departed. The copa plane sat there for half hour with door closed. Could have made connection. Then COpa put me on a flight to Buenos Aires which is six hours away from Rosario and did not provide any connection from Buenos Aires to Rosario. Don’t take this flight, the 1 hr connection time from IAH to Panama to Rosario is not enough time to allow for delays and COpa is a BAD partner to United as it refuses to wait for the United flight to arrive."

In Mendoza I got boarding pass for second leg of flight (Panama - Toronto) with the gate number and boarding time. Everything was correct, not even gate number changed. Pros: "I bought a return ticket from Panama City to Rio on Kayak and was not notified that a Yellow Fever shot was necessary for re-entry to Panama. Turned back at the air port in Rio I had to spend an extra 13 days in Rio de Janeiro at my expense, three to see doctor and get vacine, plus ren day waiting period."
Cons: "To change ticket I had to pay change fee plus fare difference. Copa said it was not their responsibility to notify passengers of health alerts and Kayak should be responsible. Needless to say I was on the hook for the time and the bill. I have flown Copa with satisfaction a number of times but this is enough to discourage me from ever flying them again and possibly ever using Kayak again."

I had to call the online number to get another flight and they tried numerous times to talk to her but she refused. Yet, I would see devil spawn on her phone laughing and joking and talking... but too busy to help the consumer. She was awful. Horrible."

Cons: "It may be La Guardia Airport that is the one to blame and not AA, but long story short I was on the airplane on the ground in NY for about 5 hours. We had a domino effect of things happen that caused us to be delayed and then cancelled. First a Gate change to a different terminal after boarding was suppose to begin so we had to take a shuttle over and we're still missing 50 passengers, Engine problem that required maintenance, refuel because we were in the plane on the ground waiting for so long, deplane and replane for 10 mins because of a law, on the runway and back to the gate for all these different occasions. When they finally let us off the plane after all these hours it was because of weather (although the skies were blue and the pilot was confident it wouldn't be an issue) they didn't actually cancel the flight until 5pm, my flight was suppose to take off at 9am. They were also required by law to give us free snacks Bc we hadn't eaten all day or had fresh air--these were all chips and soda...in gluten free so I had to starve. AA customer relations said they couldn't compensate because the issue that was documented in their records for my flight cancellation was because of "weather"... my flight couldn't be rescheduled until the following afternoon, making me have to cancel work 2 days in a row and pay for multiple taxis and and extra night of boarding. I will NEVER fly AA or La Guardia again."

Was not a fan of the extra time in the holding pattern above Indianapolis, nor the extra time 150 feet from the gate after we landed."

They mostly just stayed in the back talking to each other. The pilot didn't greet us. Just stood there when we walked in. And there was a kid screaming for most of the trip. My seat was broken and wouldn't recline. This was my first trip flying, and on the trip to Miami I flew with Delta. The service with them was tremendously better. I was really disappointed."

Comfort was good because I had paid for an upgrade which I actually thought I was paying for the international flight but found out it was actually for the Charlotte flight which was a surprise it was not very clear from the tool. So hence the Comfort was great on this flight. But the tool needs to make it much more clear as to what you are selecting the upgrade for. Food, there has got to be something else out there other than pretzels, I understand why we do not have peanuts, but a little bit more variety would be very nice. I understand there's a cost tractor, but often pretzels tend to be fairly stale. Short flights entertainment."

I was offered no alternative transportation to Indianapolis. I was totally lost being in a strange city without support. finally I had to take a taxi which was very expensive"

Also gave no snacks and only half can refreshments, no entertainment."

When we first landed in Vancouver and before we even got off the plane, we had 5 minutes to board onto our next flight which obviously was not going to happen. We rushed through customs and still might have been able to board our flight at the last possible minute except the staff at the airport led us to somehow get out of the secure area and have to go through security again before going to our gate. That took so much extra time. This never should have happened. When you get off the plane and have a connecting flight, there is always a way to get to the gate to board without having to go through security again. When we finally made it to our gate for our connecting flight, our plane had left and we were told to go to the air canada service desk. There was about 10 to 15 of us that had missed our connecting flight because of this so the 2 staff at the desk were trying to help us all but had to wait for their manager to come and confirm they could give us another flight which took quite a bit longer than I thought. We ended up getting booked on standby on a flight straight from Vancouver to Saskatoon in 2 hours which was our final destination, but never was told that because of all this headache, we should have grabbed our luggage. We thought our luggage was going to go on without us on the flight we missed but apparently if you do not get on your flight they don’t send your bags which makes sense. We also had thought for a second that maybe our luggage didn’t go on the flight from Vancouver to Calgary but if it didn’t then someone would most likely put it on the flight to Saskatoon. We should have asked about it but they should also have mentioned it when we were in a panic. And I understand you can’t put extra people on a flight that is booked, but what if the plane we were on standby for was full and we had to wait even longer .. could have taken us a day to get home when this wasn’t our fault we missed our flight, but was air Canada’s."

Cons: "I thought it was a bit odd to not be given a seat assignment until after zones 1, 2, and 3 had been boarded. It seemed like the other passengers and myself who needed assignments had been forgotten about."

Cons: "The flight was delayed about an hour and a half, only after some time at the gate they explained it on the mic.I had a connection flight, and before landing they mentioned there will be agents helping those with upcoming connections to catch them up due to the delay, but those people just pointed me in the general direction of the gates. I had to ran all over the airport, confused after the terrible long flight, and since it was my first time there. I made it at the last second, they changed my seat without my permission and didn't have enough room for my bag so I had to check it. The general attitude of the crew was reluctant at best.The food was mediocre, like what you would have gotten in a flight 10 years ago, and they gave beef to people who asked for chicken. I wanted to be more cool about it, but it was a terrible flight in every Aspect, and I never even got an apology or a follow up."

Cons: "Actually I flew from Buenos Aires to Vancouver on Air Canada. I had paid to prebook my seats both on the B.A.-Torononto leg and also Toronto to Vancouver. Did not get either of the seats I had paid and prebooked. Therefore Air Canada is taking money but not providing the service or product...... technically this is stealing"

Cons: "We missed our flight. OK, our fault. Any attempts to contact the airline were unsuccessful. They did not have an office in the airport and the numbers we were given at the information desk to US, Canada, or the local representative were not responsive. We ended up buying tickets for another airline. We were lucky to get the last minute fares for $630 one way. Air Canada's price was over $6,000. An e-mail from the airline reminding of the check-in time would have prevented all this."

Cons: "Where do I start? Maybe by saying that I'm really not a complainer. I'm really not. I know there are understandable, although not always pleasant, occurences and situations that cause or contribute to things. But this shuttle flight was a disaster of poor airline planning. The 1.5 hour flight kept getting delayed again and again and again. The assigned gate got changed 4 times and we found ourselves having to walk with our bags from one to another. It finally took off at 12:30 at night with an ORIGINAL departure time of either 8:40 or thereabouts. You're talking about a 4 hour delay. Weather? Raining, but nothing that was serious. It was just, well, raining. No explanation was ever given for the delay although, uhh, complimentary bags of pretzels were handed out. I felt bad for the ground and flight crew. They had to deal with us less-than-pleased passengers and, really, the delay was beyond their control. Which leads me to believe poor scheduling by Air Canada of available planes was a reason. It was all very, very bad and, given a previous flight 10 days ago that took 5 hours instead of the scheduled 1.5, we'll never use Air Canada again."

Planes need a major upgrade to entertainment equipment. view screens are 20 years old, the touch screens don't work on the first try because its such old underpowered tech. Safety demonstration props missing."

This was a really unpleasant delay situation. We needed a lot more information and gate agents to help out. I will strongly try to avoid Air Canada in the future. Overall two thumbs down on the experience."

It makes the booking process unecessarily complicated, so much so that I'm just going to exculde United from the list of airlines when I do a search on one of the aggregators"

Pros: "The stewards were nice and they were prompt. The plane seemed to be well cleaned inside and they were quick to get everyone boarded and bags stowed underneath. The pilot knew what he was doing and I had no worries there. Everyone was doing their jobs as well as they could be done."
Cons: "The air nozzle above my seat was broken and would not turn off so I freezing the entire flight, as well as the tray table seeming like it was meant for the lap of an infant versus myself and I can't imagine how someone with longer legs than myself dealt with the way it folded down. The take off was rough either seemingly due to tires or perhaps a rough runway. The wifi on the plane would not work. It worked ok my first flight but not on the second. I don't know why and no one knew why either, had the latest app and it was updated to the current version."

Cons: "Luggage Lost on 4 Apr after I came to my destination Indianapolis. I reported my lost luggage on the same day at Airport at United airlines office. Its been 10 days and no one has followed up yet on my lost luggage. I have to call United Airlines Customer Care everyday to get a status on my report. No follow up is made on the lost luggage. They have asked to file claim which will also take 8-10 weeks to process. All these experiences has made me and my friends not to prefer United Airlines for Travel."
