My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

Attendant said it was because tickets bought too close to take off don't get to pick seats, but we bought our tickets about three weeks before. Also, my boyfriend and I sat in a full row while the row in front of us only had one person. It would've made more sense to put that person in one of our seats and us in that row to give four people more space instead of just one."

Cons: "I had an earlier flight that was delayed which caused me to get to the counter 50 minutes before my flight left. The attendant at the counter told me there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call Copa’s reservation number, which he couldn’t even give me he said I needed to look it up myself. Then before I had even called the reservation line he said he was closing the ticket counter and wouldn’t be back until 9:30. I called the reservation line who said that there was nothing they could do because my flight hadn’t even left yet and that I needed to talk to the attendant who had already left. I then waiting over 2 hours for the ticket counter to reopen only to be told that all of my flights through Copa had been cancelled and that I would need to pay almost $2000 just to get on different flights. I ended up having to use a completely different airline and spend an additional $1000 because Copa would not help and was extremely rude. This was the first time I would have flown Copa and I will never fly with them again."

Pros: "I bought a return ticket from Panama City to Rio on Kayak and was not notified that a Yellow Fever shot was necessary for re-entry to Panama. Turned back at the air port in Rio I had to spend an extra 13 days in Rio de Janeiro at my expense, three to see doctor and get vacine, plus ren day waiting period."
Cons: "To change ticket I had to pay change fee plus fare difference. Copa said it was not their responsibility to notify passengers of health alerts and Kayak should be responsible. Needless to say I was on the hook for the time and the bill. I have flown Copa with satisfaction a number of times but this is enough to discourage me from ever flying them again and possibly ever using Kayak again."

Cons: "I will start off by saying that I usually LOVE Copa Airlines and have a wonderful experience. This flight had too many things go wrong for me to ignore. 1) The check in line up took exceptionally long even though there were many staff at the booth. 2) As people were boarding, one of the staff was handing out headphones as people were still attempting to navigate to their seat. The timing seemed very inappropriate and even in the way for new passengers. 3) My boyfriends carry on bag is larger than a small backpack, but smaller than a standard carry on bag. As he was boarding, he went to put his bag in the overhead compartment. My boyfriend is well over 6 feet and the Copa staff was insisting we put the bag at my boyfriends feet as his bag was not as large as others. We pay the same as the other passengers and deserve comfort too! Especially for my tall boyfriend who even in the largest of seats has a difficult time on planes. 4) The plane did not have individual entertainment units, which does not help on a 6+ hour flight. 5) I was VERY cold and asked for blanket on various occasions, and even offered to pay for one, but there was not on board, even though, as I exited I saw unopened ones in first class."

Cons: "Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim (with a hajib) women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to. Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"

Guess they had better seats. It should be a law that all airline employees from the CEO on down should only be able to fly in coach. Maybe then the seats will get better."

Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."

Also, while I'm starting to think that A320s just suck mechanically for landing (they always seem to land harder than a 737), this one seemed a little extra rough."

I understand mechanical problems, but 3 hours later, and on another plane, the captain starts making stuff up, saying that the only reason we hadn't moved in the last hour was because people were using the bathroom, then something about having to deplane because the plane couldn't back up with us on it because of some sensor? And then, surprise ! All of the sudden they noticed there was an issue with his and some of the crews' hours and we had to wait till they could locate more crew. But they gave us each a 1/3 glass of water and later a $12 food voucher which didn't even cover a meal and beverage. Whoop-de-do. 7 hours later we finally boarded for the third and last time. The crew on the other hand stayed professional and friendly."

Cons: "The customer service from AA representitives in the airport was completely unnacceptable and the absolute worst service I have recieved in an airport to date! One incident during this trip was as follows: When arriving in Charlotte and running to catch my connecting flight, I arrived as the lady at the desk was closing the door, she looked at me and rolled her eyes. When I went up to the desk along with the other passengers arriving from the same flight as me the AA representative said "Hurry up , I want to go home!! At a point I'm just going to cut you off and that will be it!" She was of no help to me in anyway amd was forced tonstay the night in charlotte ; Normally this would not have been such a big deal, However I am on emergency leave from the Navy rushing home because I have a very serious family emergency, that representitive was very lucky I held my temper! From now on thanks to the poor unproffessional customer service I received I will no longer be flying American Airlines!"

I understand the concept and reason for the request but the manner in which she did it was so uncalled for. I don't recal a time in which I've been spoken to in that manner in a very long time. While I was doing it (it took literally 5 seconds), she was screaming at me to walk over to the side and lose my place in line. After I quickly put it in she screams it must go in all the way, which it was. There wasn't even a bulge from it and it closed with ease. I'd be happy to provide a picture of my small backpack/purse."

Cons: "I was dissappointed in the additional baggage fees for checked bags and then have to watch people fight for carry-on baggage space. Ridiculous situation airlines have created. Plus flight was delayed because of mechanical problems coming back. But in flight was comfortable and well done."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing about them. By far worst experience ever."
Cons: "The staff talked to me in a condescending voice. First flight I called the airlines and asked simple questions on what time we should be there and the process. Then we get there by said time and they said she missed her flight. Keep in mind I have a one hour each way drive to lax. Came the next day 3 hours early to stay in the line 3.5 hours and the line was short! They let people cut us left and right and the staff was rude on the phone and there. I lost ANOTHER work day dealing with them. They said she was on standby for next flight 3 hours later only to get to the gate and they said they NEVER EVEN PUT HER ON THE LIST. then she got put on the next flight 3 hours later to get told it was a full flight and so she waited another 3 hour flight and finally got on... on top of the stress I went through, the work I missed out on, the drive and gas it took to get there, her first day of her Job was the next day after that mayhem! It was absolute chaos. I can honestly say I hate that American airlines and I don't think it's right. The person next to us also had a horrible experience with them in the line next to us. She missed her best friends wedding due to three disorganization and horrible service.... SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BRIDESMAID!!! I wrote the company.... but I expect no return or respect from them if I can't even get that from their condescending customer service "manager" ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!"

Pros: "Professional, punctual good flight"
Cons: "Like on domestic flights limited service."

Cons: "Had to check my bag because they ran out of overhead bin space."

Pros: "Customer service rep was very empathetic."
Cons: "AA canceled my flight three hours before departure, and were unable to provide a reason or rebooking when I called, resulting in me missing a close friend's wedding. Never will be using this airline again."

Cons: "Over 3hour delay due to an aircraft switch and poor weather, boarding was a complete mess and my seat was switched from my original reservation. The ground crew and staff were unable to explain or accommodate."

Pros: "Flight was quick"
Cons: "better coffee"

Pros: "The spacious seats"
Cons: "The food"

Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Cheap seats. And why were we not seated together when we booked way in advance?"

Pros: "The Rio de Janeiro international airport is very difficult to traverse. However, the airport staff was very helpful in directing me several times to the correct location."
Cons: "United needs a check-in kiosk located between the domestic arrivals section and the international connection hallway just before security. I had to walk to the complete length of the airport and back again, just to check-in. Other airlines, such as Delta, have a kiosk located just before the security entrance. The cabin temperature was absolutely freezing during the flight, and I am usually hot."

Pros: "The plane was clean, the pilot and attendants were pleasant."
Cons: "Rules are rules. Yet, at least ten people brought on more than the designated one carry-on bag and purse. Flight attendants shouldn't have to deal with those poorly mannered passengers who think they deserve special treatment. Otherwise, it was all fine."

Pros: "The availability of media to watch on the long overseas flight was helpful to avoid boredom."
Cons: "Flight attendants passed out headsets to hear the media, my set was missing one of the foam ear pads. When I called it to the attention of a flight attendant, she took my set and did not return with one, causing me to search out my telephone headset."

Cons: "We star boarding 20 min late, after that the airplane was totally full i was separated from my family"

Cons: "United made our first flight late by not having equipment together, so we run through the Denver airport over a distance of 30+ gates only to find our next flight had left 3 minutes prior. The woman at the desk said, can't help you, go to the help desk. At the help desk they never said sorry, just rebooked us for a flight leaving 6.5 hoursgot later. Here are some food vouchers (which don't work at all of the food places in the airport). Have a good day."

Cons: "Cant take a carry on AND personal bag if im not premium member."

On the connecting flight, the last flight the plane was two thirds empty and the crew made us sit in our assigned seats, crammed together telling us that if we want to sit in a seat with more legroom we have to pay $180"

Cons: "Delayed 5 hours. We missed the window to depart because the originating flight was over an hour late. After which there was a ground stop at the destination airport."

Pros: "Bigger jet, more room. I was able to keep my carry on with me in the over head bin. Friendly staff. Very clean cabin."

Cons: "Cramped plane. Not enough space. Late boarding and then sat on the tarmac for a while."

Pros: "Everything was on time. Had enough time to get breakfast before departing. The stroopwaffle is awesome."
Cons: "Very cramped plane. Very hot in the cabin. And veneration wasn't good, cabin smelled like farts. The bathroom door lock was broken and didn't close all the way either. Had to gate check my bag again."

Pros: "The flight arrived half an hour early to my destination both ways, going and coming."
Cons: "I wish the flight attendant were more friendly. On my going flight the flight atrend antique was a little short and rude. And on the flight coming back, only saw your 1 smiling and it was to laugh at a passenger with her co-worker."

Cons: "Cancelled and automatically booked with no option for a refund unless I waited seven hours in line at 1 AM. Ridiculous especially given demver's proximity to the springs. WEBSITE NEEDS A STREAMLINED REFUND OPTION FOR AUTOMATICALLY REBOOKED FLIGHTS."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled so I'm on stand by for who knows when"

Pros: "Both flights were early landing which was nice everything moved smoothly"
Cons: "I didn't have an assigned seat in the 22nd flight so when they called I asked about they said wait for ur flight to be called so I went and Sat back down til they called me by name so almost missed my flight because the communication with the staff needs improvements"

Cons: "Flight was overbooked. My adult son and I had tickets to "see agent" and given seats together. But they'd also assigned his seat a another person, who was already settled. Luckily, there was a seat left, and both arrived at out destination. Their solution was to move him, even tho we were traveling together."

Pros: "No delays, was actually 35 minutes early on my return flight, attendants were especially kind to me and helped me out significantly, and I was pleased with the free in-flight entertainment via the free Wifi. Overall, a Good experience with United."

Cons: "Boarding was 15-20 minutes late, no one at the counter. Bumpy flight due to turbulence due to weather."

Pros: "Female pilot was the best I've ridden with"
Cons: "The delay was horrible."

Pros: "We left Chicago very late. The plane had not been fueled before boarding. We waited what seemed like an eternity. while the pilot apologized repeatedly it was still ridiculous to have to wait that long for the plane to be refueled when it should have been done before boarding."
