Problems not translated to English. 3.5 hours to rebook our group of 14. How many times we heard 10 more minutes!!! Told to go to wrong lines multiple times. English speaking agents would disappear and not stick with us. Reappear later to find us still waiting. Weather related but we were not told it was fog and we're worried about lightening and thunder. We needed to be far more informed.
I chose TAM because I am at the highest level of One World in points and thought that maybe they would do something. They should be kicked out of One World.
Got on the plane, got off the plane, got on a different plane. Horrible customer service.

On the way back they lied to all the passengers saying that there was a problem in Rio and we had to land in Belo Horizonte. Home 8 hours late.
I wasn't allowed to board my flight because I was told I needed an outbound flight from Colombia back to my home country (USA). This is not a true policy and I am extremely frustrated that I was told this and forced to miss my flight. The manager at the avianca check in desk was extremely rude and unhelpful.

LATAM cancels your return flight that has been paid if you had issues with your first flight. Prices to repay and book a new flight change every 5 minutes and are exorbitant. They are looking to screw over their customers. Unless you are a person that can control the universe and can ensure that there will be no accidents on your way to the airport, LATAM is not an airlines that you should take anywhere because if you have any problems with your ticket you will need to buy a new one for 3 times the original cost of the ticket that you already paid for plus pay a $75.00 fee to use the return flight. This all happens even if you show up at the airport before the first flight takes off but LATAM says you cannot board because the flight has been closed more than 1 hour before (actually 1 hour 15 minutes before) the departure time. Arriving to check-in prior to boarding does not correct this issue - even if will use an airport locker and not check any luggage. LATAM will still not allow you to check in for your flight and will make you pay for a new ticket. This was the most horrible airline experience I have ever had. After already paying $751.00 in full for 2 tickets, I could not afford, to purchase 2 new tickets for $1,200.00 plus an additional $150.00 to keep my original return flights.
