At Rome Fiumicino, expect long walks to gates after security and customs.
Customs can be quick, but duty-free corridors add extra walking before departure.

Kayak was an utter disaster. They booked the tickets through a 3rd party and the 3rd party changed the dates of the flight without checking with us. They promised to change it back, but they never did, and I eventually had to dispute the credit card charge to get my money back and had to reserve through another website. NEVER use KAYAK again!

Crazy and confusing check in process for connecting international flights. Extremely uncomfortable seats in economy, bad in flight service with useless attendants, 10 year old movie selection, inedible food + only 1 full meal for 12+ hours long flight - 2nd snack was a cold bun with 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber; 3rd was 2 breads - 1 hot and 1 cold. Finally absolute bad information on arrival time - in flight suggested we will reach at 12 AM until last minute, when we landed it was 1:15 PM

The crew was business like and not very friendly. It was very disappointing in that they handed out the meal at the beginning of our journey. Eight hours later, they handed a sandwich and a drink. During their eight hour break all they did was sit in the back, looked at their phone and read. They never came down the aisle during those eight hours and offered another beverage or to See if there was anything they could do for the passengers.

There wasn't a time for neither food morning entertainment in a short one hour hop over.

Boarding in Rome for the Venice connection was disappointing. Very hot after a long flight, being herded on a crowded, unairconditioned bus to be transported to the tarmac for boarding for our connection. ITA you can do better than this, especially for international passengers!

This was a typical hour-long flight. Not much leg room, no entertainment and no food.

The boarding was delayed and they didn’t let us know why until after we sat on the plane (the plane was delayed getting in) but they had us waiting in line for over 1/2 hour for some reason which I didn’t understand.

A lot of things could have been better. They lost our luggage. We missed our connection from YVR to Naples when we arrived in Zurich and then we got re-routed to Rome and then Naples. We eventually got to Naples but our bags didn’t. Our experience at the lost luggage in the Naples was not at all reassuring. They didn’t seem that interested in our problem. I did a live chat with Swiss customer service and all they could do is tell me to follow the process. Meanwhile we’ve had to spend significant money on clothes and I have to replace medications. This has meant our trip so far has been totally different than what we had planned. It’s not clear that our baggage will ever show up which means we will have lost significant amount of clothing and other things and our two month trip to Europe will have more problems than good memories. So far we are not happy.

Terrible service, uninterested employees, inefficient boarding process, and marginal set up on plane. Staff make the airline - good luck with this one.

Long delay, lack of space at the seats (not comfortable).
