Cons: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

This is how they worked it...They try to board multiple flights off the same counters. You stand in line for 1 hour and no movement happens- literally!?Then, since the next flight is about to be delayed - they announce for you to stampede forward, to make your flight. Then the process actually begins and 20min later and some bureaucracy on extra luggage you get your pass. Then you run through passport control and security, exhausted and frustrated (as was everyone else). Etihad should instruct Serbian Airlines in which they invested, how a plane (s) are to be boarded. After all it's over 100 years since the first commercial flight took place, its not that much of a mystery any more:)"

Once on board, the staff were great and did their best to accommodate this business traveller. The return flight was standard on terms of food and service, nothing special, nothing bad. The checking was another story, with lots of confusion and missed opportunities to make a difference. Mixed bag, overall."

Directions to our connecting flight in the airport by Iberia staff was confusing and they were extremely rude. We asked 3 different times! We were in danger of missing our connecting flight. Iberia is the worst airlines I have ever experienced, and I will never purchase a flight on Iberia again! Lesson learned!"

In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor."

For example, the customer must check in online. if not done properly the cost is about 100 euro more, AND the online check in procedure is not working that well, you need to press buttons several times in order for it to work (and I have a good phone), and if you give up in the middle it will cost you. More on that we did a mistake and did not purchase luggage for the way back, when we went to the desk to buy it (after standing more than 2 hours in the check in), we were told to pay 40 euros, where the price is 23 if paid online. we asked to talk to a manager and get the regular price for the suitcase, the cashier said "no problem i can call him, but then you will miss the flight..." and in the meantime there were still lots of people in the check in line... The service is very slow and not pleasant, and the crew always give you the feeling you are not ok. I understand the price is low and this is a lo cost flight, but this should not happen no matter what is the price."

I had to explain several times, that I tried to do it on line and even bought a few more things for my ticket, but I could not get a Ticket to print because the system kept on telling me that as the passport was not european I had to go to a Counter. The attendant was not happy with my answer and kept askng for it. I then told him that as a customer of Ryanair I can not manage your system. And he even replied by saying. Qoute " I have nothing to do with Ryanair. Then at the moment of boarding. Once we were let through BP control, then The crew kept us waiting in different stages All in All around 45 mins, which of course lead to delay in flight. Then on board, the crew was having difficulties with the service even to the point that they could not take our payment with an International Credit Card"
Cons: "Despite meeting the required measurements, my friend and I had to pay for our carry on bags at the gate. We were told at the check-in that our bags were ok. This is unacceptable and cost an additional 110 Euros. There was zero flexibility, and our bags DEFINITELY would have fit. Additionally, there were others with same sized carry on luggage that were allowed to stow it in the overhead bins. The "money saved" with Ryanair is not worth the inconsistency or headache."
Cons: "If you're going to be low cost, at least be efficient. RyanAir was messy and bureaucratic. I had to run between multiple lines to get the forms I needed to fly. I knew I'd be losing money on charges, that was the deal. But I did not realize they would be so Kafkaesque in the process of collecting those charges. Is it really so hard to swipe a credit card?"

Cons: "We had to pay the normal check in fee (50 euros per person), this one was on me, since I didn't pay enough attention, I don't get why it has to be 50 per person though. We also got to pay 100 euros for our luggage (two carry on bags that had no issue in other airlines). To our surprise, the bags didn't fit in the metal cage they use to size baggage. We ended up paying since we had to fly but then when we were boarding we saw other passengers with the same bag size as ours, so this was really upsetting."
Cons: "No information from either Kayak or Ryan that I needed to finds a way to print my own boarding pass or face a $50 fee. Absurd!"
Pros: "Left and arrived on time; seats were bigger than expected for basic economy though not equal to "extra" level on longer flights."
Cons: "Constant sell-sell-sell announcements, pushing everything from food/beverages (nothing complimentary) to raffle tickets. We were required to surrender a bag at boarding because cabin baggage was overbooked, but most people took theirs on anyway. While we followed the rules, we paid the penalty of having to wait for the bag to be retrieved. It cost nothing but time, fortunately. But the bag surrender before the flight was not convenient or easy to monitor. Also agree with the other reviewer that online checkin is required to avoid a fee. And the requirement for non-EU persons to have a PRINTED boarding pass was a pain. Luckily, our hotel agreed to do this for us, but many travelers don't have the option."

Cons: "Worse experience I ever had with an airline in over 45 years of flying. They charge you if you don't check in online but it took me numerous attempts over a couple of days to check in. The website is horrible. I checked a bag online but when I got to the check in they had no record of it and I had to pay extra. If you are not an EU citizen you have to present a printed boarding pass. If you are traveling this can be difficult. That flight was over a half hour late and no explanation was given. It was an almost one hour wait for bags. I will never use this airline again."

Cons: "Not used to flying this airline. Their business practice calls for 45 euros/passenger check in fee if not done online prior. With 4 of us traveling, that just added 180 euros. Then, one of our carry-ons was deemed too big, had to be checked-in for another 50 Euros. The flight was not full and the carry-on could have easily fit in the cabin where there was plenty of space left. Overall the staff felt sorry, knew it was an expensive proposition to just have a piece of paper (i.e. boarding pass), and late checked in suitcase. We will certainly avoid Ryannair all we can when traveling in Europe next time around."

When we called to get answers we were led to an automated recording that did not lead us to a human, but to an online chat. The online chat did not work. We found out through a Google search that Marseilles was on strike. We then cancelled our flights, asked for refund, and switched to Alitalia."
