Pros: "The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!"

After the passengers got off the plane, the man at the counter came on the P.A and said it’ll be a few minutes, they’re catering the plane now from the back to the front. The flight crew still needed to get on a preform safety checks. He apologized again. Then it was 8:40, time to take off and we’re still waiting to even board. The man at the counter said again, thank you for your patience and relayed the same message, only this time the flight attendants were walking away from the gate. Around 9 some lady higher up told the man to announce that the flight crew had timed out and stand by crew was on the way to the gate, said sorry again. A little later the man says sorry, there’s a gate change. You’re going to K6 now. When we get to the new gate it’s almost 9:30pm and while we were all gathered at the gate, the flight crew that supposedly “timed out” showed up and proceeded to get on the plane. Passengers started getting mad and saying we were lied to and to just tell us the truth. Chicago PD started showing up. We finally got on the plane but it would be another 30 minutes before we moved because of issues getting our bags off the original plane. We ended up being almost 2 hours delayed."

Cons: "Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site."

I had paid airport prices for water to bring onto the plane and then had to surrender it at the gate. Of course in economy class they will not give you water or attention until you are at cruising altitude. More than one flight attendant did not smile and one was actually rude in spite of my attempts to be kind and smile. Except for one friendly person at check-in kiosk, bad service overall. They do not have personal entertainment systems, and it was like going back in time with the tiny screens you cannot see, playing a movie you either watch it or not."

Upon arriving they announced that they did not have the Hawai'i agricultural forms, so we would have to wait until the "agent" cam on the plane with the forms, fill out the forms, and then disembark. The crew was not organized, so it took about 10-15 minutes to get off after we arrived in the gate (late) because they could not get people sit down and fill out the forms. Chaotic. I plan NOT to fly American again. Ever."

They rushed through the "Food Service" and didn't want to answer questions about what is on their menu. The menu was removed from the magazines in our row. Fortunately, we brought our own snacks. The Economy CLass cabin had a terrible odor. It really smelled. Maybe they should clean the plane once in a while. United Airlines ALWAYS has issues with entertainment. You MUST download their App to your cell phone. Then, they allow you to connect to their entertainment system. If you don't, you cannot access WiFi without paying $26 for the flight ... the WiFi access is inconsistent and limiting and doesn't always work so the download doesn't always complete. This was a nine hour flight from Hell. I think I prefer Frontier Airlines. Although the airlines make you pay for everything now, at least you expect some attention and food options and a plane that doesn't smell. It was nauseating. Don't even ask me about the "Miles" that they keep screwing up ... RAY HANANIA"

She literally asked the passengers where they were from and then launched into how she was local and it was her way or the highway. She was also really incompetent at the job overall. She gave me attitude and anyone that required her to do her job."

Cons: "No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

When I asked for a pen she said they don't hand out pens and to start asking neighbors, which didn't have any either., however when she came back around to pick the forms up and some people didn't have them filled out she reprimanded everyone and kept saying you had 5 hours to fill these out. Her communication skills were not what I expected and her lectures were not necessary."

Gave up my seat on the last leg of my flight, got a 500$ voucher, put up in a beautiful hotel, w/ a nice meal and transportation. Like winning a sweepstake. Always love United, great airline, great staff."

Cons: "Male flight attendant was extremely rude. I was asleep when the food was being served and politely asked for a tray of food once I woke up. Fight attendant that I asked was at the time collecting trash and snapped back saying that he had to finish what he was doing first. After about 10 min the lady attendant walked by so I simply mentioned that I was waiting for my food in case he had forgotten or was busy. She asked if I had mentioned it to the man attendant and I told her that I had and that I was simply waiting. She proceeded to go to him (not sure what she told him), but he later came by and angrily handed me my tray of food and annoyingly explained that he had to finish handing the trash In order to then handle my food. I told him that I completely understood, and he AGAIN snapped back saying "oh really? Because I heard you were complaining!" And walked away. The rest of the flight he proceeded to ignore me. I had been nothing but polite to him. The lady across the isle was looking his way and the man next to me made a comment to me that I had done nothing wrong and mentioned he he noticed how rude the attendant was to me. That even if I HAD complained, he was in no place to confront a customer about it. Regardless, I hadn't even complained one bit."

Much of the time there were people standing in line right over me waiting. Lots of bumping and grinding with my fellow passengers."
Pros: "Ride was ok. Both our flights from Chicago were delayed. No one tried to explain or offer any apology. No one offered to complete anything or offer coupons for meals. I thought that was extremely rude."

Couldn't even watch plane progress. Pay for that too. Only thing on is a cooking show. And yes you have to pay for food. Interesting. Food is decent though. That was a plus. All but one of the crew seemed pissed about being there. I know passengers suck. At least the guy that looked like Tim meadows from snl was nice. A 5 hour flight and they plane has no wifi (I get it) but also no charging ports??? Just gives the feeling of being held hostage for 5 hours and the only savior is your Visa. I'd hate to see how parents with kids handle it."
