Cons: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Pros: "The flight crew was courteous and efficient."
Cons: "The boarding time lasted an hour as the front desk staff at the gate insisted that I needed a visa travel document for my connection in China (multiple leg journey). What they failed to realize is that nobody needs a visa for China if they’re connecting in transit. It took a phone call and 3 staff members to sort things out. Not something that I want to deal with at 5:00 am. Moreover, due to the de icing, the flight was late and i just made it to my connecting flight in Newark. It was quite a hair-raising experience overall."

Pros: "We had issues in that there was no crew! But the United people were great and got us on another flight going to Newark and we were still able to make our connection to Aruba!"

Cons: "Delay after delay. Took way too long for de-icing. The storage compartmemt door got stuck and I could not get my bag out. The flight attendant blamed the issue on my bag. She claimed it was too big. It was not. I have carried the bag on several flights with similar planes, the gate agent slowed it on the plane as many have, and I had no issue opening and closing other compartment as I tried a couple after maintenance retrieved my bag."

Cons: "United overall was a complete disaster. They overbooked the flight, so it got delayed until the next day, but not before the involuntarily checked my carry-on due to no more space. When they delayed the flight I asked to get my bag back, but they assured me it would be on the American Airlines flight they transferred me to. Guess what...it wasn't. And now I'm stuck in Portland with nothing but my wallet, keyes and phone, and a small bag of toiletries given to me by American (which should have been United's responsibility). This is the FOURTH trip with United where they have screwed me over with either baggage loss or itinerary issues. NEVER using United after this trip. Next time I book, I'd rather just go with the next price up if it means not flying with them!!"

Pros: "I went a different route back to Denver I drove in a vehicle do the circumstances of a friend moving back to Colorado from Michigan. So I called ahead of time and let United Airlines know to go ahead and give my seat to anybody"

Cons: "30 minute flight delay due to late inbound aircraft. Fortunately, we were able to make up for the lost time in flight."

Cons: "the 4 hour delay changed all of our arrival plans. text messages were not always updated and neither were the airport boards as the gates kept changing. The check in line was just ridiculous. The staff members kept walking away or what seemed like .. talking to friends- I've never seen a line move so slow and I'm from new York."

Cons: "I requested wheelchair service and on my return flight from Denver the people who assist werected sitting around and I had to walk to the area where they were sitting. The ticket agent did not call anyone for me, although I told him I needed a wheelchair."

Cons: "Boarding was delayed, then we taxied and had to return to the terminal for maintainence. We were told it would take 20 min but it was much longer. Maybe an hour, hour and a half."

Pros: "While waiting in the terminal for everyone to board and the plane to be cleared you got your options of watching everything on the Direct TV headrest screens. It was interesting to see what people watched at 1am (4am my time)."
Cons: "Received another handful of snack mix, which was fine. At least I knew not to eat it this time. Once the plan took off, the headrest screens asked you to pay some ridiculous amount of money to watch them for the hour that we were on the plan. I wasn't surprised, but I never found out who killed the lady in my show. Bummer."

Cons: "The aircraft was extremely small. Being 6'4" it's a challenge to navigate to and from your seat. I was pleasantly surprised that I could fit in the seat."

Cons: "I'm 6'4" and if I would've had to sit on that plane much longer I would've been quite sore. Seats are small, space is exceedingly limited. But, it was a regional jet, so this was to be expected. Nonetheless, other airlines' regional jets haven't been quite so cramped."

Cons: "We were on an older model plane designed for short trips so they typically aren't very comfotable and no food service or entertainment is offered."

Cons: "In the Denver airport one of the wheelchair pushers let me stranded. The airline staff came to my rescue and got me to the restrooms and down the ramp to the airplane to Albuquerque."

Cons: "First flight was delayed, missed next 2 connecting flights. Next flight home wasn't for 24 hours, so had to pay for my own hotel + another $200 for a rental car to drive 5 hours home. Made it home 1.5 days later. They lost my bag, bag made it home 3 days later. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."

Cons: "I specifically said the aisle seat and on both flights United put me on a middle seat and on a window seat. Both flights were late. I almost lost my connection flight. It was so late that I didn't have time to eat or use the bathroom in my layover. As soon as I got into the plane they closed the doing because my first flight was super late. Then on the food service I wanted to buy food and by the time they got to my aisle they didn't have anything ( just the horrible pretzels) I'm super disappointed with United."

Cons: "we boarded late. we were told that unless we were ready for take off in 6 minutes we would have to wait 3 hours due to ATC. It created an unnecessary level of worry on the plane. And...avoidable: we could have loaded on time rather than starting boarding at about 11:20 a.m. for this 1137 flight."

Cons: "We were told multiple times it "wouldn't be much longer" until we got going...2 hours later we were still at the gate. The only thing done to make this time easier was to give all passengers free TV for the duration of the flight. Wow, thanks. I was lucky my layover was 2.5 hours so I just made my connection. Most other connecting passengers were not so lucky. Pay the extra money to take a better airline."
