Pros: Friendly crew. Departure and arrival earlier than expected. Smooth travel from begining to end.

Pros: The shortest flight time between NYC and St. Petersburg Russia. Good connecting time, smooth transition in Helsinki.
Cons: I have never used this airline before and as it was highly rated, I was glad to give it a try. The seats were crammed together very tightly, even for me, a short person! So, the flight was uncomfortable. Then the food was poor. The selection of films was uninspired. The service was indifferent, disinterested, ungenerous. There was something meager, miserly in the whole experience. They are obviously maximizing profits at the expense of the customer, who seems totally disregarded. I would not choose this airline again!

Because flight was delayed and I had to fly to Talin and then to RigaI I arrived at 10pm plus took me another 30min to figure out what happened with my luggage. I am still in Riga waiting for the morning to schedule another ride home. Very long , inconvenient trip ;-(

Cons: This was booked as British Airways, but ended up American Airways. The food was cold and had to be reheated, the plane was worn, overall this was one of the worst flights to Europe ever. I did not book American, just got duped into it, but now I will make sure I will never fly American again.

Pros: I was a bit surprised by cabin crew 's welcoming words that were my native language ,which ware very familiar and joyful . I didn't feel well at that time with a severe cold and I endured during the entire fly . I know it's kind of bad but I made it to my country safely. The food was Korean food and I really enjoyed and loved it so much .The Helsinki airport is great with smoking booth and warm .

Pros: Because of the delay taking off and refueling, they provisioned for an extra meal service. Choices were limited, but the food was decent. Crew was generally cordial and efficient. Even though there were only 13 empty seats, they made an effort to find us a place with an empty seat between us.
Cons: We were stopped and grilled by AA personnel as if we were potential terrorists, even though we had TSA Pre-check clearly listed on our boarding cards. flight was 1 hr delayed boarding. Since the plane was a 747 and there were stronger than average headwinds, we had to stop in Bangot to refuel. Net result: 2 3/4 hr late arrival.

Pros: I like the Airbus A330 model's that AA flies from Charlotte on European destinations. They are the former USAir A330's and they are nice both in business and economy. There are no premium economy seats on this version. And Charlotte is an excellent airport to fly from/to.
Cons: I wish there was a premium economy offering on this plane. The first row of economy is sold as such but is really nothing like prem economy apart from additional legroom.

Cons: The crew moved me to another seat on the return flight which allowed me entertainment but I hadThe entertainment console at my seat location on both flights to and from London did not work. That's 10 hours! to move away from my companions.

Pros: My son and I requested gluten free meals when we reserved our tickets. When the meal was being served the crew had NO record of our meals needing to be gluten free. So we had to get one of the meals that was being offered. This was unfortunate and they made no other attempts to rectify the situation. Also, many TV monitors were malfunctioning, including mine which did not have clear sound. It was jumbled and not even clear enough to make out words in a movie or song on the radio channels. Pros: First flight I’ve been on where United airlines has adequate leg room for a tall person. A newish airbus plane. I’ve been avoiding United for a number of years cause their planes tend to be very uncomfortable for taller passengers. This is the seat spacing that all airlines should have.

Cons: Flight was delayed by 3 hours, but not United's fault. Also the snack selection not great. They did play movies on back of headrests, but we had no volume and no where to plug in headsets that I could see. So basically had to watch a movie with no sound.

Pros: While it was a long flight it was comfortable and surprisingly the food was good.
Cons: We ran late as the plane needed some work on it before we could take off; when it was finally done there was a storm and could not take off again. We were behind over an hour before we could leave but we made up for in as we had good tail wind.

Cons: The flight to Chicago got delayed due to weather (not Uniteds fault), then got stuck in Sioux Falls due to need for gas (also not Uniteds fault), but when we finally got to Chicago and got told we couldn't continue on to our destination for two days United refused to get us a hotel room. They said that since no one had entered the mechanical failure that made us stay in Sioux Falls (also not Uniteds fault) that they couldn't give us rooms at a hotel. What a crock. We ended up having to borrow money from my in laws to be able to afford a hotel room for 2 days.

Cons: UA plane stayed a long time on O'Hare tarmac waiting for takeoff to LA. Then parking at gate in LA took a long time. The result was I missed my UA connection to SFO. UA put me in the next LA-SFO flight.

Cons: 3 delays, but United refused to cancel the flight which would allow the passengers to rebook. Pilots were dismissed and we were given vouchers to the worst motel that I have EVER stayed in. Since I had to be in Washington the next morning, I purchased a $600 ticket online after the gate agent told all of the passengers that United could not get them to D.C. until the next evening. To top it off, they used the same plane with mechanical problems the next morning, which caused further delays. Terrible and costly.

Pros: The cabin crew themselves were great. The pilots offered my child to go see the cabin and everyone on the actual plane was great.
Cons: The United employees at check in kiosk were very unorganized and unhelpful. I was traveling internationally with a small child and had two pieces of luggage to check in. Normally you just go to the counter once and they do everything including taking your luggage once they weigh it. Instead, I had to go to the self check in kiosk, then back to the counter to weigh my luggage, take off the one luggage from the scale, weigh the second one, then go back to the self check in kiosk, then was told to take off the second luggage as well, then finally went to a second counter where the lady handwritten my luggage tags and then was told to take both pieces of luggage and put them somewhere else altogether with specific directions on where to put them. This is something normally handled by the actual employees. Also, the check in dude yelled at my kid for putting in his name into the check in kiosk while we were waiting on the check in dude to do all those unorganized activities. He claimed it would break the software if my kid were to enter his name. I have told him that no, the software will not break if my child enters in his name.

Polaris Lounge missing any kind of basic food or snacks in effort to go overboard with chef "inspired" food. Seating largely geared to single travelers and travelers of 2+ people have difficulty finding seating.

Cons: We had to walk almost halfway to Newark just to get to the flight. It was outside on the Tarmac at the very very very end of the terminal, I've never seen anything like it before. We also left a travel folder in the seat back pocket containing important documents and a sealed envelope of 1000$ USD. We immediately called to retrieve it and at first were told to file a complaint online, no matter how many times we tried to tell them that time was of the essence in this situation. We also begged the united airlines personnel to speak with a manager and he wouldn't put one on the phone. In the end all they could tell us is that the folder "wasn't there"
