Pros: "I paid extra to get bulkhead seat. But the monitor won't stay up. So I asked for help. Flight attendant used duct tape for both my monitor and the one next to mine."
Cons: "My boarding pass was marked with SSSS and I was subjected to another security search at the gate in NRT! They laid out all my carry-on stuff in 2 long tables and swabbed both my hands. Then sent me on my way, leaving my passport on the table. Good thing I had the presence of mind to look for it!!!"

The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."

Cons: "What I didn't know was the Jal return flight to the US was operated by American Airlines. The flight was packed, my inflight entertainment was broken, my folding table was broken so all my meals had to be held up by my knees , and I had a kicking screaming baby seated behind me keeping me up the whole flight. The crew was very rude and irritated by the full flight so the service was also terrible. Never flying with AA again."

Cons: "We couldn't land in Narita due to bad weather, so we did emergency landing to Haneda to refuel and go back to Narita. But after we got off in Narita, the immigration is chaos. Nobody arranging it and people just going wild, nobody knows where the line should begin. We spent 2 hours plus in the imigration line. So from the scheduled time to arrive at Tokyo 5pm, we get to our Hotel at 2am. Good job Narita airport!"

Pros: "This complaint is more targeted at American Airlines, which handled the New York Washington leg of the trip. They provided free food such as sandwiches and drinks at the gate due to the 2 hour delay."
Cons: "Red eye flight delayed for 2 hours. Then delayed another hour on the runway. No in-flight enternmaint, which would have made it bearable. Descent into Washington Reagan National freaked me out because the plane was flying eratically while being so close to the ground and recognizable landmarks."

Pros: "Japan Airlines is far more spacious than all domestic airlines. The food and beverage options were comparable to most airlines like Delta, United, etc, but presentation was better so they get style points. Their wifi connectivity was far better than Gogo's services, which is the provider for most domestic airlines. The real improvement compared to most my travel was the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive."
Cons: "Still waiting for the day wifi at 30k feet is comparable in speed to at least a public cafe. Also, when will one of these airlines start providing balanced meal options that are actually palatable. JAL's food was okay, but heavy on starches and fats with low quality protein or vegetables to accompany them."

I found the male stewards on this flight a lot more helpful I'm not saying the women weren't as well. Gender balance is good. Overall everytime I have flown Korean Air the service has been exceptionally pleasant and I feel confident and safe. Knock on wood I hope they keep striving for excellence and not lose it along the way like so many other airlines over the years."

Softer lighting be a little bit more comforting to the eyes, besides don't each seat have its own light source if extra lighting is needed!"

Pros: "This was a relatively short late night flight into Incheon from Manila; cabin crew was attentive. About an hour from Korea, about 3 a.m. we were awakened by the brightening cabin lights and served a full dinner. It was a nice gesture; my connecting flight was more than 18 hours later and the dinner helped with both time change syndrome and with hunger pangs. KAL was also very helpful with my change of schedule; I was returning to the US for medical needs including unexpected surgery recommended by my Asian physician, on a schedule to meet needs of my US physician, KAL is definitely a first class outfit, and has proved it with every flight I've taken."

In general it would be nice if passengers could pre-order from a set selection of foods online what they would like on their tray. This would hopefully lower the amount of food that sadly goes to waste. Also it would be nice to have gluten free snacks on board. Flying with celiac disease is not easy."

The meals are tested under almost clinical conditions, who ever travels Economy and tastes the food in situ. Put more of the edible foood in. People prefer a single course meal as against a 3 course with dead ends on each side of the main."

Cons: "The security check at the gate requires one to leave the comfort of the lounge early incase of queues and then wait in an over crowded lounge with the other passengers (so the fact you are business/first or have one world status does little to ease the burden of boarding. The lounge also did not offer red eye passengers a meal and the on board meal service is slow (so if you are hungry it eats into precious sleeping time). The breakfast wakeup was also disappointing. My meal of choice was not available and the whole process was rushed like a fast food restaurant. Overall I am disappointed by the club world offering on this route and would not pay for it again unless intended to get on and just sleep for the entire journey."

We experienced crazy long lines for: the bus between terminals, immigration passport review; passport review before the metal detector, and detailed tests on permitted volumes of shampo, and toothpaste. The agent forced me to check a normally permitted carryon bag, then the bags took 45 minutes to be placed on the turnstile after the flight. Not an efficient airport."

Pros: "The cabin crew was nice. The main dish was good. The entertainment choices were decent and the system worked fine. I don't sleep in planes so it's important to me. I got a forward facing seat so at least I didn't have to deal with the alternative."
Cons: "Not being able to make seat assignment earlier (i.e. 24h) was lame for a business flight. The second meal was mediocre, as was coffee. The screen of my entertainment system was scratched and cracked, but it didn't disturb me too much."

Pros: "Upgraded to world traveler plus was way more comfortable. The flight crew were so so nice and helpful. I am handicapped and they just couldn't do enough to make me comfortable."

Pros: "Flight was on time. Check in staff, Lounge + lounge staff and Cabin crew were on par with expectations (very good). Disembarking the plane at Heathrow was organised, immigration process (I used the e-gates) was very quick and bags arrived promptly."
Cons: "Many ground staff on hand - but felt overall lack of coordination specifically after security check at the gate, with yet another boarding card check which seemed a bit pointless as boarding cards were checked before gate security as well? Eventually boarding the plane - one lady ended up in the wrong line for upper deck seating (which shows that the numerous boarding card checks they failed to give proper guidance on what line to join)."

Cons: "Paying for something basic to drink is something you'd espect on Spirit airlines not British Airways. The cabin crew and gate agents were rude and inconsistent with their behavior. They used to be full of class and unfortunately they are now trash. If I have other choices I will most certainly not choose BA."

The air crew spent most of their time sitting in the back - zero effort in service - not once did they make rounds with cups of water/juice. In between meals, I request for some snacks and they said they don't carry any snacks at all - onboard a 12-hour long flight. I asked to BUY some Malteser chocolate and pringles, and the air crew exclaim "ohhhh but it's on the upper deck, I would have to climb up to get some." Here how about some bread rolls and butter. They offered me stale bread from the previous meal. I am their One World Partners SAPPHIRE Member. I shudder to think how they would treat their standard economy class passengers."

I had NO idea I couldn't take a small carry on. That's insane. Worse than Spirit, which is not saying much. At least you can pay for a carry on with Spirit. They forced me to check my unlocked bag. United used to be one of my favorites. Its lower than Spirit now. Beware!"

I felt like a stupid and lost my $185."

There was not enough qty for each person on the flight and the food choices are subpar and very expensive. If u ask me with the exorbant cost of flight to include now the cost to bring luggage is horrible. What happened to the days when airlines actually cared for their customers. I guess those days are long gone. I have been in he military over 17 years and not once have I received a courtesy upgrade to 1st class and I have flew over the world. Guess it's all about the money. And have to pay for entertainment....go figure and why isn't there outlets on every seta in every row. Is that too much to ask!"

Cons: "Sat next to someone quite large I had to squash myself uncomfortable every time someone needed the restroom. This happened frequently as our plane was discovered to have electrical problems immediately before takeoff. Our flight was delayed 2 hours because of this."

Cons: "Check in was very complicated & inconvienent! They wouldn't accept my gift bank card. Then we had to pay for a card because they didnt accept cash either,& nowhere,to get,cash. My husband had to leave &get money out,which took a,half hour-no easy way to check in."

Pros: "Really pleasant flight. New plane I think - no window shades, it's tinted windows that change colors! They came by many times to offer water, pick up trash. We even got ice cream for dessert! Also, I have a special meal which they brought correctly (have had airlines mess it up which is crummy on a long plane ride). Also, great in flight entertainment on the screens (no need to use personal devices), lots of recent movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. Was also surprised to find guided meditations from Headspace which helped me get to sleep! Overall, loved it and would definitely fly again."
Cons: "My bag did not show up at my destination, but I think it will soon. I like that their automated system is sending updates every 6 hours and I can call anytime as well. Fingers crossed it turns up :)"

Pros: "The in-flight crew were very nice and no one got beat up. our flight was delayed but we got put on a later flight without issue."
Cons: "No entertainment and no free wifi and the seats hurt my beck and back. The girl who checked us in was abrasive to us and everyone in front of us in line, but maybe she wasn't trying to be, that was just her personality. Our flight got delayed which meant we missed out on seeing an old friend I hadn't seen in years, but at least we got there."

Pros: "Everything went well with United at LAX. Baggage check-in and boarding were very easy. Interesting and fun entertainment options made the flight go extremely fast. Crew was very polite and accommodating."
Cons: "Leg room seems to be getting smaller and smaller in economy class; could barely move in my window seat."

There was a doctor on board who was helpful in helping a distressed/ill passenger who was assisted off the aircraft for medical help The pilot did end up flying faster than usual to try to make up time for our delays, in order for most of us to made our connections in San Fransisco. That was appreciated."
Cons: "Flight was late due to Seattle's first snow of the season. The plane needed de-icing. Then as we pulled away from the gate, there was a medical emergency aboard and we had to taxi back to the gate for the ill passenger. After this was over, the plane needed deicing again, so that was yet another wait. Overall, we were sitting on the plane for an hour without being allowed to use the restroom because the pilot kept the seatbelt light on and we weren't allowed to get up."

United obviously shortened up the leg room and space towards the back of the plane to make room for "economy plus" then just left those seats empty when passengers refused to pay the additional $170 (what obnoxious flight attendant said) to sit there. I will look for other carriers..."
